The worst excursion of all. Just shopping and shopping and those who do not take additional services frankly do not care)
1. The guide did a very bad job. We arrived at the 1st point - the underground city (for the sake of it and the Goreme Valley, we came), the guide said on the bus that we were going after the group that came ahead of us, and now it's time for the toilet and souvenirs. The whole group dispersed, we could not find a guide, some went into the caves on their own, we and another 15 people began to wait for the guide at the entrance. As a result, we found and asked when we would go in, to which we were answered "and we have already left, where were you, I called everyone, go yourself run quickly through the cave for 3 minutes" Excellent... We ran and almost got lost... Other guides stopped and told us everything, but ours was running faster and faster. Mv came to see, not to sweep through Kapadokia.
2.Everything would be fine, but when we and other tourists began to be indignant that we did not come here for free, so as not to see half of it, we were told "I will refund your money.". Returned 140 lire)) whereas the tour costs $170😁 (for two)
3. Okay, let's go on, we arrived at the store, they gave us everything there to try, advertised the goods, we spent a lot of time there, we were in no hurry... The next point was Goreme (our second and last hope for a good tour) and then the guide says, "Oh, sorry, I made a mistake in time, we have very little time before closing, let's quickly run here and leave."... Well, that's no good... We stayed in the store for more than an hour (if only we bought something) and in Goreme, let's run faster.. The guide told me about a couple of places and then, he says, go see everything yourself, and we'll meet at the bus... And then we realize that we no longer want to go on such excursions at all..
4. Then we almost left without one tourist. The man was delayed somewhere, and the bus just started without him.. If one tourist had not started a panic that it was impossible to leave him here, the bus would have left leaving the poor man without things and documents in Cappadocia at night
5.The hotel is good, 4 stars... But after all that, he wasn't nice to us.. In addition, we were given a room with separate beds, although we said that we were newlyweds, this is our honeymoon and we need one bed. But the food there is delicious)) only drinks are not included, in the tour for $ 170 (for two) we could have poured a cup of tea. But that's okay..
6. Lunch is also not included for this money (but we can't complain about that, because it was described in the program)... It's just that if the tour was good and the mood was also good, we would have bought something extra.. But with such an attitude of the guide, and in general the service.. I didn't want to leave a penny here.
7. On the second day, breakfast was delicious and coffee was included, which pleased me finally..
8. On the bus, the guide already said, "let's applaud those who flew on the balloon today, and not those who are hindered by the toad.." the conclusions from these words are again so-so.
9. There were two more stops before the county and, of course, these were shops.. Leather shop, jackets and costume jewelry store.. Not AN EXCURSION, BUT AN ONLINE SHOPPING. But in the light of yesterday, everything somehow smells dishonest and we just wanted to go back to the sea as soon as possible..
10. If we were the only ones with such impressions, that's one thing.. But then a third of the bus was left with the same dissatisfaction.
11.In general, if you want to fly on balloons and buy souvenirs, then you may like it, but if you are interested in Cappadocia itself, then this is definitely not this agency..
Let's go on an excursion to Pammukale! The departure from Belek was first supposed to be at 05.00 in the morning, then they wrote at 04.30, and early in the morning we were woken up by a call from the driver who said that the departure was at 04.10!!! We drove a minivan to the transfer point to a shared bus, in which we sat for another hour waiting for several tourists from Alanya! The whole bus was waiting for 3 people!!! Then a blow below the belt-Margot's guide-there is less information on the history of places than can be read in the tour announcement, and the presentation is tedious and not interesting, with jumping from one topic to another, not coherent, meager speech, if they did not become indignant and ask questions themselves, they would not even know banal information. It was said about baths that you can sit in them for no more than two hours -although even a child from the Internet can read that the recommended time is from 20 to 40 minutes! As a whole, 12.05, we haven't even reached Pammukale yet!!!!! But we managed to visit the onyx shop. Tired, already with a hooked phone, we found out on the bus that after onyx we are now being taken to drink wine!!!! We will probably get to Pammukale by the closing of travertine! Never mess with Kitabus turom and Margot's guide! Money thrown away
and in August 2022 we went to Cappadocia. Alyona's guide is wonderful! She is interesting to listen to, knows history, speaks competently, is very attentive to every tourist, helps everyone, advises. It was a great organization, even the children sat quietly on such a long journey, because Alyona's stories were very interesting.
I want to warn tourists who plan to go on group tours. Before you purchase a tour, check with the agent which company you will be traveling from. Kitabus is a divorce for money. They are absolutely not interested in you seeing anything. You will be taken shopping, and the tour itself will be given a minimum of time.
I went with them to Cappadocia on July 3-4, guide Vadim, driver Yasin. Cappadocia is an amazingly beautiful place, but we saw almost nothing. To begin with, the group was international, Russians, Poles, British, Turks. We were picked up from the hotel at 3.30 am, at 11.30 we arrived at the first location (underground city), we were given about 30 minutes to inspect, then we were taken to lunch, then to a pottery souvenir shop, where we spent about an hour, and finally at 14.20 -hooray! - the first stop in Cappadocia itself, in the "valley of fantasies". However, here we were given only 20 minutes. I galloped through Europe up the path, but they were already signaling to me from below, saying, let's go back, it's time to go. Then we were taken to Uchisar, along the way there was an observation deck with a beautiful view of the city, there was a tour bus on it, that is, this platform is one of the points of the program, but not with us. We sped past the beautiful views at full speed, and arrived at a small playground, the view from which was clearly inferior to the previous ones, but there were shops. The guide Vadim announced that we had 40 minutes at our disposal, but it seemed to me clearly too much time to hang out on this site, however, when I set out to walk around the city for a while, Vadim tried to stop me, saying that he was told to hang around here and not go anywhere, and also the Turk at the exit (it looks like the owner of this place) escorted me with a dissatisfied look, apparently the calculation was that in those 40 minutes we would buy something here out of boredom. We were taken to the Goreme Open-air museum at almost six o'clock in the evening. By the way, the museum is open until 19.00, that is, we had no more than an hour to inspect all the underground temples, and there are plenty of them there. At first there was some kind of misunderstanding with the tickets, we lost another 20 minutes, but eventually we entered. Then the guide Vadim turned on the fifth speed, and we had to ride like saigas in the heat and even uphill after him, sweating. For him, it was a completely uninteresting location, because here you have to tell, and at the same time no one will buy anything. After about 40 minutes, everyone was herded onto the bus, after which we waited for about half an hour, waiting for the lost British. Then we were taken to an observation deck overlooking the valley of love, where we had another 15 minutes to take photos in the dust from continuously passing ATVs.
Then there was another shop, now with sweets. After that, check-in at the hotel.
On the second day, the balloons were broken off, as the weather was not conducive to flights, they were canceled. At the same time, no alternative was offered, we were simply brought back to the hotel. On the same morning, another group from the Sultan company paid another $ 15 each, and they were given a jeep safari, driven to all locations with a stop inside the rock formations. At the same time, the guys jeepers also photographed them.
The price tag on the balls is a separate story, brazen extortion, I completely agree with the earlier review.
After breakfast, another hour was spent at a souvenir shop with stone products.
Then an hour to the leather shop. And we spent only 20 minutes on one of the observation decks.
To sum up, we spent about two hours on Cappadocia in two days, 30 min underground city, 20 min valley of imagination, 40 min Goreme Museum, 15 min observation deck on the valley of love, 20 min observation deck on Uchisar. That's all. At the same time, the viewing rooms were chosen according to the principle, not where the most beautiful views are, but where the necessary shops are located, and the guide Vadim warmly embraced the sellers of these very shops.
We just drove through many beautiful viewpoints without stopping, while other buses were parked there, we did not go down into any valley, we walked only to the rock temples of the Goreme Museum. The guide didn't care about the beauty of Cappadocia, he wasn't interested in sharing it with us, he didn't care that we left disappointed, just having lost two days of our vacation. All he had to do was complete the souvenir shop program and make money for the balls.
I think this is rudeness and unprofessionalism, I have an extremely unpleasant aftertaste.
Avoid the Kitabus company
I went to Cappadocia from Alanya from 02 to 03 July 2022. I liked everything very much! I was lucky with the guide Alyona, she immediately impressed with her restraint and calmness, there were misunderstandings at the beginning of the trip, but she quickly settled everything. Then the whole trip was "like clockwork", we managed to see everything everywhere, and even the pink valley, which was not in the tour plan, was also shown to us. There is a lot of interesting information, historical facts, traditions, jokes, stories about other tourists... In general, I was satisfied and with positive impressions. The balloons did not fly because of the wind, but I was not upset, I was more interested in Cappadocia itself - it is magnificent! By the way, I really liked the hotel where we spent the night, it is stylized like the stone houses that we came to see. It's called the ALP HOTEL.
The worst excursion in my life, Although it is difficult to call it an excursion, rather just a transfer with the function of selling additional services. We went to Cappadocia on 24.10-25.10. We took the all-inclusive program (2 lunches, 1 dinner, hotel accommodation, entrance ticket to the Goreme Museum). Guide Hayam, bus driver Ahmed (sort of). Khayyam knows nothing at all about Turkey in general, or about Cappadocia in particular. When asked who Ataturk was, he replied to me: "Well, he is a very good man, he is very respected in Turkey." And not a word about the fact that this is the first president of the republic (as I later read). Just so you understand the level of knowledge about Cappadocia, he also doesn't know anything at all. Although, as he says, he has been taking excursions there for many years. After a while, he admitted that he was not a guide, but a translator, and that a real accredited super-duper guide would join us next. This guide is a separate song)) with a completely absent and bored look (as if we had interrupted him from important things), he spoke a couple of words in each location. It doesn't matter what he was or what he wasn't. It seemed that he also didn't know anything. This was especially clearly visible against the background of another tour group that we encountered. The guide told me so interesting there, you'll hear it. An even more unpleasant impression was left by the fact that, as I understood it, the main purpose of this tour is to get extra money. And I'm not talking about the standard shopping trips in such excursions, but about the fact that Hayam and the driver literally pressed us to buy a balloon flight. By the way, it was $280-300. One woman with children in our group doubted that she didn't have enough money, so they just kept up with her the whole tour... manipulated, persuaded, pressured. We went to different places, tried to withdraw money, spent up to half an hour there (because mir cards are not accepted). Which, of course, took time away from the tour. As a result, there were 15 minutes for each location, and they were also in a hurry. But the apogee is the Goreme Museum. We knew that the ticket was included there. We have asked repeatedly when we will go there. As a result, the gas was brought to the usual examination room and they said that it was him))) and when we showed the photo of the real museum, we pretended that we hadn't noticed anything, talking viciously to each other in Turkish. In general, we never saw the museum, although we paid for it.
I strongly do NOT recommend contacting this company. If you just need a cheap transfer there and cool photos, then you can. Take food and the cheapest tour with you (for $ 50) and don't count on the tour. But if you are waiting for an excursion, then definitely not to them.
We went to Pamukkale with this company. The place is simply mesmerizing. The road is really tedious. But the sight is worth it.
And two days later, on 08/25/2022, we went to Cappadocia. The departure was early, we did not know how we would survive the road, but our caring guide Alyona gave us time to sleep on the way, by the time we arrived in Cappadocia we already had enough strength to walk with photos, and learn a lot about the history of Turkey (although we are already here for the 5th time), so interesting was the presentation of information from our the guide, with jokes, is easy and entertaining that they did not notice how the day flew by. And the super finale was an evening laser show about the history of Cappadocia and the whole of Turkey. It's so great when Alyona talked about it all day, and in the evening it was like watching a movie :).
But everything was overshadowed by the morning parade of balloons - we were lucky and the balloons flew. This is a furror. It turns out that it happens that balloons do not fly when the wind is strong, they did not fly before us during the day. We did not plan to fly, the tour seller also said that prices had risen very much and now 300-400€ per person.
There was a couple sitting on the bus in front of us, they wanted to fly, they found out the prices, they started brawling, they were rude to the guide, if it was her personal balls, they haggled, they offered a bribe at the bus stop (it was so funny to watch this), she shows them the price list of different companies, and they say "we will find it ourselves then." The guide says look for it, just don't be late for the departure of the group, otherwise you will go back yourself," so they almost declared war on the guide. We travel the world a lot, but for the first time in the tour we came across boors who could put everyone in a good mood. But thanks to our wonderful guide, who delicately put them in place, and we heard so many new and interesting things, so many cool emotions. And the Kitabus Tour company - thank you for such a professional guide. We will be happy to recommend you to our friends.
We went to Cappadocia on June 25-26, there are no questions about the transfer, the bus is comfortable, the driver is good. But there are questions for the guide Alyona. It was probably interesting to listen to her only for women over 50 years old, she talked a lot about herself and was very hyperbolized. But the most unpleasant thing was the purchase of balloon flights. Everyone was told that the price would be 160-180$, the price turned out to be 220$. Alyona said that 160 is a flight of 40 minutes, and we have flights of 80 minutes, so 220, they say you will not regret it. As a result, the flight turned out to be 45 minutes, and Alyona referred that the wind had changed, so they finished earlier, but we will not return the difference, because the company of pilots says that this is an unforeseen situation, the pilots did their job in full. As a result, there was a residue from all this, which spoiled the impression of the trip. We could have immediately said all the conditions before the start of the trip, then there would be no such questions, and not when you are already approaching your destination.
We went from Alanya to Cappadocia through the Kitabus agency. Alain's guide is the worst guide in my entire memory. Rudeness and jokes, a complete lack of information about the sights (we listened almost all the way about the TV series "Magnificent Century" and her family, oohs and sighs that did not stop..
We wanted to ride balloons, the guide Alena offered us for $ 300 per person. We found it for $200 per person, when she found out, she started saying how bad and irresponsible everyone was, and they were good. She started scaring us with insurance that they would kill us there, etc. In addition, she said that if we separated from the group and went by ourselves, she would not let us get on the bus and we would get back by ourselves (500 km), although we had purchased a full tour. When we made a reservation for the balloons on our own, we had to find out from the guide which hotel we were checking into so that a transfer would arrive for us in the morning. But the guide did not specifically tell us the name of the hotel, allegedly she does not know herself. She lasted until we arrived at the hotel. By this point, our reservation had already been cancelled and our seats had been sold to other people. The most terrible person, as a person, is an absolutely unprofessional employee and just a harmful person who is also rude to guests. I will never recommend Kitabus to anyone, rather I will dissuade everyone from buying tours from them. I hope such guides as Alyona will never work anywhere, it's just terrible! The whole bus, 40 people are shocked by her. Date of trip: 08/25/2022-08/26/2022
I want to share my impressions of the trip to Pammukale and Demre. I recommend it to all history lovers. It is very interesting and exciting. Many thanks to our guide, Tatiana. The tour is in one go.
We took an excursion to Cappadocia, October 28-29, guide Alena, the price of the excursion is $ 75 ,balloon flights are not included in the price, only a transfer from Alanya , a sightseeing tour of the city and overnight at the Cappadocia hotel, someone has food, no drinks . Already on the bus, Alyona began to offer to buy a balloon flight from her for $ 150, although we found it online for $ 70, respectively, and bought it there. After that, we became her fierce enemies, as soon as she did not threaten us, as a result, after we did not fly with her, upon arrival at the gathering place, while we were packing, the bus just left in front of our noses, to the people on the bus who asked that you left 9 people there, she told them that we we decided to stay, but in fact we were just left 500 km from our hotels in Alanya from where we came with her. I strongly do not recommend this office, which cashes in on tourists, despite the fact that when buying an excursion, no one warned that it was impossible to take flights separately, although this agency does not organize flights but simply resells them.
We went to Cappadocia on October 28-29, 2021 with our guide Alyona. Alyona's guide offered to buy balloon flights from her at a price twice as expensive as these flights actually cost. Balloon flights were not included in the price of the tour.
Those tourists who did not want to buy balloon flights from her, but bought them directly from the company that provides this service, Alyona refused to get on the bus and left the hotel, leaving 9 people in the mountains in the middle of Turkey....
We went to Cappadocia from 28.08-29.08 with the tour operator Kitabus Tour.
Our trip was accompanied by the guide Alyona, thanks to her we got into the city and the tour.
It is clear that Alyona loves her job and she transmits this love to tourists through a wonderful and interesting excursion.
Thanks!
Friends, I strongly advise you not to contact Kitobas Alanya (Kitabus Tours Travel Agency). We went on a tour with them to Cappadocia on 11/23/2020-11/24/2020. Cappadocia itself is a great place, but it's better to go with another company.
- A balloon flight costs $ 170 through a guide, we bought it online for $ 70. The same companies are engaged in flights, that is, the Whaler simply takes $ 100 or 59% of the cost. We communicated with other vacationers, it cost $ 100-110 through their guide, but not 170.
- After Oksana, the guide, found out that we and 4 other people from the bus were flying on balloons ourselves, she tried to brazenly demand $ 25 per person allegedly for an "extra. insurance." She was refused, after which they tried to keep us off the bus. However, we just stopped by and the trip continued. The service is straight out of the 90s.
- The guide herself behaved rudely and unprofessionally. I have been to many places in Turkey (Istanbul, Ephesus, Pamukkale) and other countries, I first encountered this.
- We spent quite a bit of time in the valleys, but a lot of time on terrible shopping trips, where the guide also tried to sell us various consumer goods
- You can either eat your own food, or buy lunches from the guide for 80 lira or 11 dollars. Even in Istanbul restaurants, prices are lower, and you will get lunch without drinks (even without water and tea) at the canteen level.
I strongly advise against this company. They work in the black without contracts, but behave more brazenly than the official tour operator.
This is a disgusting agency, we drove around disgusting shops all day, we were fed not delicious food, cold potatoes, boiled chicken, then when we arrived in Pamukale they said you have 2 hours, and on the way back the driver fell asleep at the wheel
