Cabbage soup, borscht, pancakes, cutlet with potatoes, kvass - almost two thousand rubles. It would not be a shame if they were well fed and served quickly with a smile... As it is, there is a complete discrepancy.

The restaurant's rating is clearly screwed up. The advantages of this institution end with a beautiful interior. We came to have lunch with my husband, there was no free menu, the waitress said she would bring it as soon as it was available. As a result, she threw 2 menus on the bar, as if we were not at the table. Even then, they were wary, but decided to stay, took the menu from the counter themselves. The prices are high. A little later, a huge family with children came to us, and after a while the waitress went to them and took the order. We remained sitting without attention. After waiting another 25 minutes, no one came up to us to take the order. They left the establishment annoyed and hungry. I do not recommend this "restaurant" to anyone, especially during rush hour. There are other cafes around the castle where you can have a delicious snack. Yes, the interior will be more modest, but the staff is polite and hungry, as after the princely court, you will not stay.
No way. Overpriced prices, the food is very ordinary, nothing to do with beautiful stories and descriptions on the menu. A dish with grilled chicken breast and a salad of beans and carrots is called unusually Kvasolikha. They brought cold borscht, the set of tinctures and snacks was very different from the photos on the menu, there were no snacks either, rather tasteless.

We visited the Mir Castle and the Princely Court restaurant on 05/08/2022. Belarus celebrated the national holiday Coat of Arms and Flag Day, visits to state museums were free. A lot of visitors came to Mir castle on this occasion. We arrived a little after noon. The parking lots were all packed. Two thirds of the cars have Belarusian license plates, and one third have Russian ones. Miraculously, we parked in the far parking lot. Therefore, if the Mir Castle website in the Restaurant section says that "There are sufficient parking spaces in front of the castle," then it probably means any day except the day of a public holiday. In front of the main entrance to the castle and in the courtyard, quite a large number of reenactors in costumes of bygone eras fired from squeakers and cannons, entertained visitors with bows and crossbows. Having pushed through to the entrance to the museum and received free tickets, we decided to start exploring the castle from the Princely Courtyard restaurant. And they did the right thing. They would have delayed a little longer and there were no seats left in the restaurant. The expensive interior, stylized to the era of the Radziwills, made a pleasant impression. There were four of us, two adults and two children. In our hall, the tables were quite tidy and we didn't bother anyone/us either. The waiter, a pleasant young man, spoke without unnecessary obsequiousness about the dishes on the menu, gave his recommendations and accepted the order. Everything was served quickly and beautifully. Unfortunately, I could not find the official website of this restaurant to compare what was declared. BUT!.. "Knuckle in dark beer with bigus" for 70.0 rubles is a bomb! A perfectly cooked hefty knee, which two healthy men can easily eat, or treat themselves to each in the company of four. We took two thirds of the steering wheel with us. And although there was some kind of problem with the lunch boxes, they packed it very well. My wife ordered "Beef with cherries according to the recipe of Svyatopolk-Mirsky with baked pumpkin" for 52.0 rubles. The dish is phenomenal! The beef is delicious! Argentinean anguses and Japanese wagyu are quietly smoking on the sidelines. She also took "Vegetable salad with balsamic sauce" for 14.50 rubles (there is nothing to complain about: fresh vegetables, sauce in moderation) and "Borscht with stewed beef" for 14.0 rubles (wonderful / beautiful / delicious borscht). The children ate "Homemade dumplings with sour cream" for 17.0 rubles and "Cutlet with croutons and potato mash" for 15.50 rubles. They ate actively without wincing. The lunch was accompanied by a large amount of apple juice at 3.50 rubles per serving and Lida kvass at 5.50 rubles. They took alcohol, just to try it, I took hunting tincture, my wife took robin tincture for 6.50 rubles each. They are very good. For dessert, the children took "Grandma's brushwood with whipped sour cream and cranberry sauce" for 13.50 rubles, I took a double espresso for 8.0 rubles, my wife took drinking water for 3.50 rubles. The brushwood was great! The bill amounted to 260.50 rubles. It was absolutely not a pity. "Beef with cherries according to the recipe of Svyatopolk-Mirsky with baked pumpkin" deserves to be included in the Hall of Fame of Belarusian haute cuisine! Lunch took less than an hour and a half.

1. Borscht with "beef"... liquid, absolutely not rich. Beef caused the most questions... Diced... the consistency is like that of a chicken liver. The taste is strange, to put it mildly. Not to mention the fact that there is a suspicion of a frankly spoiled one. To our question to the waitress, "what is this?" the girl was embarrassed, replied "beef." After our remark that it was some VERY strange beef, borscht was removed from the bill without a single question. In this regard, the institution is doing well.
2. Beef with cherries. Everyone recommended this dish. The pitch IS PERFECT. It looks delicious. Vegetables are beyond praise, and there are more questions about beef... Apparently, it's a clipping. Cooked, most likely in suvida. But... meat is generally tasteless and tough. Most likely, it has been frozen and thawed several times. At the same time, the price tag is approaching the price of a good steak in an expensive restaurant. In general, a confident two.
3. Duck with lingonberries. The same story. Lovely vegetables, very nice serving. The duck is absolutely rubbery. Tasteless.
Judging by the fact that the hot was served to us after 15 minutes, we can conclude that it was not cooked, but thawed and warmed up. As a result, we are completely disappointed with visiting the restaurant.
The food does not match the application and the price! The account for Russian money was in the region of 5,000 for three, and this was with borscht removed from the account. I do not recommend visiting!
We got an aesthetic pleasure from dinner and breakfast in this restaurant. Authentic interior, competent waiters, and the dishes are beyond praise!!! We tried duck breast, baked pear with chicken fillet, a set of liqueurs and snacks, grandmother's brushwood and dumplings with cherries. Very tasty!

Everything is great except the restaurant - the chef needs to be changed! The castle is in good condition, the expositions are good. There are reconstructions in the courtyard, it's interesting.
Surprisingly, for a restaurant designed for the tourist flow, excellent cuisine. They took pickles, snails, meat with cherry sauce and jerky. The presentation, the combinations of flavors, the quality of the products are all excellent! Apparently the cook is passionate. Worthy of a mark in the Michelin guide.

Draniki are cooked for almost an hour, when the hall is occupied by only a quarter. I can't find a waitress. During the waiting time, it was possible to get to Minsk and eat there. When people plan their trip route, they count on everything not for such a service. The food is normal, but the impression is spoiled in the end.
