If this is your first time in Georgia, then it is worth visiting the Kindzmarauli Corporation plant. It is one of the oldest and largest wine producers in Georgia. Located in Kakheti, in the city of Kvareli.
Kindzmarauli Corporation existed back in the days of the Soviet Union. In 1993, the plant was bought into private ownership. The oldest buildings of the 16th century are still preserved.
There is a small museum on the territory of the factory, where devices that were previously used in the production of wine are displayed.
There is a wine storage in the basement of the Kindzmarauli factory, where cognac alcohol is stored in barrels at a temperature of 14 ° C. There is also a storage of elite wine.
The cost of the tour is 8 lari per person. You will be shown the full production of wine, as it was made in ancient times and as it is made now. Our tour was interesting and exciting, the time flew by quite quickly. After that, there was a tasting of 4 types of wine (2 types of white and 2 types of red.). Unfortunately, wine is not my drink, so I can't say anything about its quality.
Next to the tasting room there is a shop where you can buy wine, chacha and cognac.

The plant itself is small, but the excursions are very interesting, even for those who have been on such excursions it will be informative. The story is about the traditional Georgian technology of making wine "quarry". I recommend.

A nice, cute factory with a history, the tour is very good, a friendly guide, at the end you can go through a wine tasting for 6 GEL, alas, we did not take advantage of this, since we were driving and passing from Tbilisi, the factory has its own product store with a good assortment, wines and brandy, I think you will not regret visiting, they have the option to buy wine and store it in their cellars, for a small fee, even for a year, even for a longer period.

I got there by accident. The pass was covered with snow and had to wait in Georgia for it to be opened. In order not to stay at home, we decided to go to this place. I'll tell you right away, it's very interesting to drive. A guided tour and tasting costs 10 lari. I really liked it. We took a tour, we really liked it. At the very beginning there was a tasting (there were 5 types of wines). After that, they showed the places of storage, wine preparation, bottling line, packaging and laboratory (they were on a day off, there were no workers in this laboratory themselves), but even just seeing it all was incredibly interesting. One of the best excursions😃
After that, we bought wines that are unlikely to be found in stores.
I definitely recommend this place to visit.

Kindzmarauli Corporation is one of the largest wineries in the territory of Kakheti, now the plant owns 300 of the 400 hectares of the Kindzmarauli microzone. We went on a tasting tour (8 GEL per person), we liked it. On the territory there is a wine storage, a wine shop, tasting rooms and a museum sector where you can see the real marani with clay kvevri, the classic Georgian "satsneheli" (press) and oak barrels.

I can describe for a long time what I saw on the tour and how personally I was impressed by it. I visit several wineries every year.
1. When I was on a tour, the factory was idle. To my question, why did I get an answer - wine is made using the old Georgian technology. The total volume, ATTENTION, is 2 million bottles. Can you imagine how exclusive this is?
2. To the question of what we buy in pyaterochka, KB, etc. - the answer is gorgeous - PISSES. And then it dawned on me, real wine doesn't even leave Kakheti, let alone Georgia.
3. Kindzmaraully - I realized what you are only at this factory. Saperavi, collected in the microzone of the Alazani Valley and prepared at this plant using the old Georgian technology. THANK you for this knowledge. Only now it's a lot of suffering, because you have to drink anything, but not kindzmaraully from the factory.
4. How it was. I didn't like the wine itself. We went into the tasting room - we tried everything, we didn't like anything. I am not a connoisseur and admirer. We went into the sales area, took a couple of gift bottles for show. I pay at the checkout, there is a bucket of 5 liters. I ask what's in there. Kindzmaraully. I took a couple. I come and try it - thick venous dark blood, bright taste of grapes. We just collected it. I remember saying, "Drink of the Gods!" It was a once-in-a-lifetime emotion.
5..... Later I tried all Kindzmaraully. Yes, saperavi. But is it from the Alazani valley, how is it made?.... Something close to Bagadoni and weakly Kahuri. Maybe one or two more companies. That is all.

And we , happy , contented , skipped off to see how everyone does it , stores it , etc.
And also , what we really liked , anyone can buy a bottle or a case of wine there ( for not very expensive)
And leave it there for storage !!!
Every year the wine gets tastier and more expensive!
I bought it for 10 rubles (figuratively ) and in five years it will cost 50,000 thousand rubles! Here!!!

It was problematic to book a time for a tasting tour in advance, but just entering the store building at the factory, we were immediately offered a tour. It cost 8 GEL per person (with tasting). The tour is simple, fast, not boring, the employee says it is very interesting. We looked at the storages and refrigerators and went into the department where the bottling conveyor is. We arrived hungry and went straight to the on-site restaurant, as we had an excursion waiting for us, we ordered soups to cook faster and, of course, khachapuri.
It was our first day in Georgia, and we never ate such delicious kharcho and khachapuri again. We remember and salivate🤤

I really liked this place. Guided tour and tasting at the level. It is informative and interesting. The wines at the tasting are simple and affordable. You can safely take it. It is not cheaper to buy such quality in Tbilisi. After the visit, I learned that it is possible to "play roulette" for 16/18 lari and may be lucky to buy a very decent wine for this money. Our guide did not offer us this option. There is a reason to come back and try your luck))
