The Church of the Finding of the Holy Cross and the Bernardine Monastery (1595-1618) are the oldest in the city. In architecture, you can see both Gothic and Baroque. The tall bell tower (60 meters) is visible from afar. There is a lot of sculpture and painting in the interior design. So be sure to visit, especially from the site near the church there is a great view of the city. The church is almost always closed, you can only look inside through the bars, so it's better to inspect it after Mass, and check the schedule beforehand.
Judging by previous reviews, it is not always possible to get into this church, but I was lucky. Inside there is a very rich interior, quiet and peaceful. The area is very green and well maintained. You can't take pictures inside, but I couldn't resist, I wanted to capture the beauty of the interior
The church itself is very beautiful. But there is one big THING: the guard kicked us out of there! We came 300km away to see the city, the temples in particular. And we were rudely kicked out of the church, trying to prove that we had violated one of the rules of the temple. Although we did not take photos, the phones were turned off, we did not make noise and did not walk around the church during the service. They did not explain to us why the church was closed so quickly after the service. But they said how "these tourists got me" and "what believers you are." The situation is very unpleasant. This is the first time in my life, although I have visited many different temples of various faiths.
