The Catholic parish in Vishnevo was founded in the XV century by Grand Duke Vytautas. In 1424, a wooden church was built here at the expense of Peter Senka Gedigoldovich. The stone temple in its place was erected in 1637-1641 at the expense of the Novogrudok voivode Jerzy Hreptovich.
