A place with a very ancient history. It was interesting to visit. Gorgeous sea view from the steps of the amphitheater.
The infrastructure is not developed nearby, be prepared to somehow solve the issues of nutrition, if necessary, overnight accommodation.
There is an ancient Christian temple nearby.
Interesting historical sites, many signs in Greek and English; there is parking, a souvenir shop, a toilet. After watching, you can go down to the beach. The waves are gorgeous!
Ancient Kourion is an open-air museum city - a must see for lovers of history and antiquity. Columns of buildings, fragments of mosaics, baths, water supply, amphitheater - all this can be seen here. We arrived on our own, without an excursion.
Since childhood, I have loved antiquity and dreamed of seeing it with my own eyes. Finally I could see it... Corfu, Crete, Corinth, Athens, Pompeii and more. Kurion would have put it in the top ten. A magnificent sample of the policy, and even in decent preservation. I sincerely recommend it!
You can get there by bus, but we took a taxi from Limassol, for about €20, and back for 30. There is a free toilet, parking for cars. We were both in summer and in March, it is VERY hot in summer.
A great place to study history. We were without a guide, but we liked it anyway. The view of the sea and the beach from an almost bird's-eye view is especially beautiful. There are not enough cafes and recreation areas after the tour.
Incredibly beautiful ruins of an ancient city! The territory is quite large, there is something to see. It is advisable to choose morning or evening hours for visiting, since it is very hot during the day and there are practically no places to hide from the sun
An interesting place, wonderful views of the coast. There are many well-preserved/restored mosaics. It's a pity that you can't take a walk with your dog ((. Large Parking lot. We recommend it.
The beautiful view of the sea, the amphitheater is impressive. It is better not to visit in the heat! After diving into history, be sure to visit the beach!
Of course, such cities in the form of excavations are probably for an amateur, but for me it's just super. You immerse yourself in the history of ancient Greece, touch the age-old stones. You can feel the strength of the winds of Cyprus and its summer heat. Parking for cars is free. Before reaching the Greek city, strawberry farms.
A very beautiful place! Only in extreme heat, try not to go here (high ground, almost no trees and shade, stones and ruins). The visit is paid. Tickets are at the entrance.
There are very good restaurants on the beach, parking is free and huge, there is a shower and a place to change clothes (at the restaurant). The beach is sand and pebbles.
I advise you to visit the museum (Kurion), and then the beach.
When you are in the amphitheater, be sure to find a hole in the floor on its stage, in the middle, and standing over it, ask to sing, well, or say something ...)
