This place is really special and filled with atmosphere, especially if you like lively places. It offers a wonderful view of the city, which is worth a look. The fortress is a calm and majestic place with convenient access and excellent visibility. Although some restoration is required, the views from here are simply magnificent and worthy of attention.
The place from where the confluence of two rivers, the Kura and the Aragva, is perfectly visible, and the very place described by M.Y. Lermontov in the poem "Mtsyri". By the way, there is a monument to the Russian poet and writer under the fortress.
The point is located in Mtskheta. We drove to this city from Tbilisi for about an hour.
Well, that's it. Ruins and that's it. To check in (or as they say now?) on the way somewhere it is quite possible. There is no point in going on purpose.
