One of the few places where we return when we get bored in the city and want to walk around beautiful places. The fortress itself may not look so impressive separately, although it is very atmospheric. But in combination with nature, this is something that is definitely worth a look. It is not difficult to get to it, the road is not perfect, but tolerable. You can park in a eucalyptus grove, walk along the shore and climb up the pier or cross the bridge over the river on the left. From above, the views are breathtaking. Lots of greenery, sky and clear blue sea. Nearby there is a cafe and an observation tower 50 rubles. There is no one to take payment out of season. A playground that has seen better days. In Abkhazia, there is a lot of tension with this. There are many locations for spectacular photos. The boat is still lying by the river below.
An interesting, easily accessible fortress right on the beach on a hill. The territory is not guarded, fenced, and admission is free. I recommend stopping by for 30 minutes in good weather.
A great place for beautiful photos. The fortress stands high above the sea, on the edge of the shore. There are excellent views of the sunrise and sunset.
A quiet and beautiful place. It's not okay to drive up by car. I had to walk across the beach. An old ruined fortress stands on a cliff. There is nothing else nearby. But it's great to touch the centuries-old history.
The fortress is good. For some reason, they keep putting it from the same angle. There is a cafe nearby. If you are masochists, go here. She asked what to eat. The answer is to read the menu. I tried to ask the composition of the dish, the cashier turned around. We also turned around and left. Our neighbors said they left too. When will people realize that a boorish attitude is a loss of money and reputation? There is a cafe a little further down Beregovaya Street behind the Glass. The questions were answered, the food was delicious. That's where they left the money.
A picturesque place - the ruins of an ancient fortress, an observation deck on a tree - a great adventure and a super view!
There is a good cafe nearby - its own pizza, khachapuri, soups, cutlets, excellent barbecue, feihui compote, milkshake!
There is a playground near the cafe.
Thanks to the local reviews - we found both a eucalyptus grove and a boat)))
We turned at the very end, so we parked right in this grove, it's better to turn earlier, as the navigator shows - then the entrance to the fortress itself.
An interesting fortress, it's a shame that the Abkhazians don't know anything about it.
This is the oldest of the fortifications of the Genoese period in Abkhazia, it dates back to the XIII century.
History: the fortress was one of the key bases of the Italians on the territory of modern Abkhazia. It was built in the period from XIII to XV centuries as one of the Genoese trading posts. The trading post traded ordinary goods with the local population, and subsequently became the center of the slave trade.
Beautiful ruins of the 13th-14th centuries. There is a eucalyptus beach under the high shore, clear sea. In a non-hot period, you can take gorgeous photos with a green lawn
An old stone building. There is an entrance inside the fortress, but there is very little space there. It is located upstairs with a sea view at the very edge of the high shore, so be careful with the children.
The fort of the Byzantines. Small (what's left). But the place is generally picturesque. There is a grove of eucalyptus trees. Cafe with delicious khachapuri and beer.
It's a great place. There is no garbage. Good views. Opportunities for photographers. Nothing is ruined by the inscriptions. Come and rest. We were in winter. I really liked it! We really plunged into the old ages.
The fortress is located on the edge of a cliff and fits stunningly into the drama of solitude near the sea. Nevertheless, you can have a snack in the cafe and drink beer here.
At sunset, you can take great photos and even climb a homemade observation tower on a tree for 50 rubles!
An ancient landmark. An interesting and colorful place. It is a pity that little attention is paid to the safety of this object. Territories are being destroyed from the sea, and a little more will reach the fortress itself.

An atmospheric place! It is better to arrive in the evening, at sunset. The sea view is amazing.
The only thing that spoils the picture is the garbage that lies everywhere, in the fortress, nearby, on the beach by the sea next to the fortress.
The abandoned remains of the Genoese fortress. A beautiful place with panoramic views. There are cafes nearby, endless beaches, camping, a lot of people were in August 2022. The beaches are filled with vacationers. There are about 100 cars, they park right on the beach, they shit under eucalyptus trees, they put barbecues right under the trees, apparently there will not be a eucalyptus grove here soon.
If you're nearby, you can come in and enjoy the views while you can
The old fortress, with a wonderful view of the sea from a height. There is a playground built into a tree with sea and mountain views!!! There is a cafe nearby, you can sit with a cup of coffee and order hasapuri.
It is not known how old the structure is, there is an inner tower and the remains of an outer wall, sand is presumably mined from the sea, as a result, the outer wall is collapsing, perhaps everything will collapse soon
In general, of course, antiquity and a monument, but for some, apparently, a public toilet. Nearby there is a cafe, an observation tower and a gorgeous view of the coast.
A mysterious place on the seashore near the mouth of a small river. It was the last fortress of the Ottoman Empire. They kept slaves here, as far as I understood. There is a yoga meadow nearby with a view of the sea. There is a cafe. Thanks to the caretaker of the fortress, who looks after, cuts plants, saving the wall from destruction. There is very little left of the building, but it has its own charm. If you look at the sea, there is a small river to the right of the fortress. After crossing it, you get to the beach with eucalyptus trees. There's an overgrown boat there. You can also use it for an unusual photo. I was here in cloudy weather, not in the tourist season, there were almost no people: yogis on nails inside the fortress and yoginis on mats on the grass)
Beautiful nature. The view from the observation deck is simply mesmerizing. There is a cafe near the fortress. They cook very tasty at home. A small playground, which is rare for these places. Well, cows, of course, without them, they are everywhere.
The territory is well maintained, there is an observation tower nearby, if you find yourself in Kyndyga, then I highly recommend visiting . There is a convenient access by car.
The view is very beautiful, you can touch the history and take spectacular photos. Drive along a dirt road through the village for about 10-15 minutes. from the highway. In May, there were no crowds of tourists, the beach was completely empty, the cafe was not working. Minus a star for the neglect of such a significant object.
Very cool place. After swimming in Kyndyk, the most suitable place to take a walk and cool off. The observation tower is cool and there is no one on the beaches
A cool place in this not particularly popular place for tourists, located at the top of the mountain, the view is simply extraordinary, the sea is fascinating,
An interesting place, a beautiful view of the sea. We were passing through after the thermal spring, we decided to take a look at what kind of fortress. The Kyndyg fortress is an architectural monument of the Genoese period. It was one of the key bases of the Italians in the territory of modern Abkhazia.
The place itself is very beautiful. Especially the view of the sea, we were in rainy weather, there was fog, it was very atmospheric, but the road to the fortress, if you are driving a low car, then not very much....
A well-preserved small Hanseatic fortress, located on a high bank above the mouth of the river, which, according to historians, in the early Middle Ages, merchant ships could enter and be protected by the fortress. The fortress offers beautiful views of the coast. There is a Fortress cafe of the same name next to the fortress, where you can sit so that the hike to the fortress is not very short. With the complete absence of attractions in the vicinity, this fortress is a whole event for connoisseurs of this kind of historical artifacts.
A beautiful place, historical. There is a cafe next to the fortress, with good cuisine and polite staff, you can have a delicious lunch. There is a beach below the fortress on the seashore, huge eucalyptus trees grow a little further along the shore, the air is just a bomb, you can enjoy the sea and the air at the same time.I highly recommend it

You can go and see it once. But no more. There is a good view of the coast. There is no indication of what it is, when it was built, for what, etc. There is no fence at the cliff. Children cannot be left alone.
It is a very beautiful and picturesque place. The fortress is well preserved, all covered with ivy, which gives a special flavor. You can go down to the beach, there are picturesque boats and beautiful eucalyptus trees. Nearby Kyndyg thermal springs.
The view is beautiful. There is a Fortress cafe nearby. While waiting for the order, it's just good to take a walk and take beautiful view photos.
If you are going to the hot springs, you can stop by to eat and see this fortress (5 minutes off-road from the source)
It's just a great place, very beautiful, right on the mountainside. If you climb the fortress, you can see the sea, just endless. The fortress is small, but everything is so beautiful that it is impossible to take your eyes off! And there are blackberries growing 20 meters away, large and tasty))
An interesting place, next to the sea. Even a cafe near this fortress, where they cook well and treat visitors with care. There is an observation tower, 50 rubles per person, if you can climb, there is an interesting view of the coastline.
A very beautiful view of the sea. The fortress itself is a big name, more like a fortress. You can take some good photos, but since the location itself is in the #@pe of the world, there is no point in going specifically to look at it.
It's a great place. The castle of the 13th century. Wild beach. There are almost no people. Tall eucalyptus trees create a pleasant shade. The castle was impressive.
An interesting place, there is a eucalyptus grove nearby, where you can stay with a tent for a cheap price. For connoisseurs, there is also a Russian bath)
It's a very atmospheric place. There is a tower for a bird's-eye view. The descent to the sea is accessible. I recommend you to visit! It's cool when you can touch history with your own hands.
