We had a big party in Mestia for the January holidays of 2025
Interior: it resembles a pub where you can paint on the walls. Overall, the interior is interesting, but very politicized.
Food: ordered a kudbari at the company - liked it. The soups and other dishes weren't bad either. Almost everyone ordered "mashed potatoes" for the side dish. Potatoes are not fresh, cooked in water. Plus, they brought the latest one. We concluded that the potatoes were cooked 1-2 days ago.
Staff: as the previous lbdi pointed out in the reviews, "if you're Russian, you're not welcome here." We asked the waiter if he speaks Russian, to which we received an official reply. Throughout the entire dialogue, the waiter answered simply, avoiding eye contact. He wasn't rude or rude, but he seemed to be doing me a favor with his attitude. We go to a place to have a delicious meal and get positive emotions. The result is diametrically opposite. On the T-shirts of the person it says "20% of my territory, is occupied by Russians"
Bottom line: if you're Russian, I think you'll be uncomfortable here.
We visited the restaurant today, and unfortunately, the impressions were extremely negative. I liked the French fries from the whole menu – it was the only more or less edible item. I support the opinion of other visitors: the attitude towards Russians here is completely unacceptable. Politics should not affect ordinary people, but it seems that this omission has become the norm here.
The setting and service leave much to be desired – the plates were literally thrown on the table, and the dishes were served as if they were doing it with obvious irritation.
It is especially unpleasant that all the staff can clearly speak Russian, but persistently communicate in English. At the same time, English leaves much to be desired: there are a lot of grammatical and lexical errors in the speech of employees, which further complicates the communication process and creates a feeling of outright unwillingness to be friendly or understandable to customers.
There is a feeling that customers are not appreciated here at all. It is a pity that good food and decent service have been replaced by such a level of inhospitality.
