A very beautiful place, the water is certainly not as clear and bright as on Kolsai and Kaindy, but the general views are gorgeous, plus, transport accessibility, you can get by any car.
A great place, but not developed for tourism! There are practically no conditions, even the cellular connection does not catch. Beautiful places, but nowhere to sit, there are only three or four tables on the way that are always occupied, no conditions to walk, just a wild vacation...
We went the second time, it won't be possible to get right to the lake, the barrier is somewhere 1.5 km away from it, but a "tuk-tuk" goes from it to the lake, so you can not walk)
One of the most important attractions not only in Almaty, but also in Kazakhstan! Unforgettable and unique nature, and, of course, history, It is important that the passage is maintained.
The most beautiful place is not hot, good clean air, reasonable price

A beautiful lake, a must-visit. Amazing color of the water, beautiful mountains.
The entrance to the lake is closed by a barrier, an "internal" minibus runs for 100 tenge. Walk about 1.5 km..
There were no restrictions at the lake, right down to the water. I recommend that you take a minimum set of picnics to sit and have a snack when visiting.
There are quite a lot of people on weekends, but there is a lot of space, not critical. There are trash cans, but there is a lot of garbage.
This year I visited this lake for the first time and it struck me with its beauty. I used to see this green speck only in photographs, today I saw firsthand the beauty of the lake surrounded by forests and mountains. The water was very cold. Approaching the water, an icy wind from the mountains was felt. After a while, clouds came up and very large and strong hail began to fall. Then it started to rain . The weather changed in a matter of seconds. A little later, we ran to our bus on which we arrived. Everyone got soaked to their underpants, but it was a fun and memorable hike to the lake. I managed to take a photo :-)
The lake was completely ruined when the passage to it was closed. Now the newlyweds do not visit it, it turns out there is absolutely nothing to do there. A particularly protected area has become a zone of lack of interest.
This is a wonderful natural heritage in our country. The water and the scenery are just incredible, but we humans don't know how to appreciate. There is always garbage that is difficult for people to clean up after themselves, and while we were walking, and the car was on top in the parking lot, it was opened and money was taken out, about 40,000 tenge. And the people who sell snacks in the parking lot there, etc., did not see anything. In general, the place is very beautiful, but be careful!
The road to the lake is excellent, the eco post was paid for ~ 500 tenge. from a person, then they climbed up the serpentine to the lake, then they no longer let them through at the post... on foot about 1km., in principle, it is clean around, but there are individuals who find it difficult to clean up after themselves (garbage containers are installed 300 meters away).
The view is gorgeous, I advise everyone!
Take care of yourself and nature!
