On 07/5/2022, I arrived at this service station to replace EGUR hose pipes. I chose him based on "positioning" myself as specialized specialists in steering repair and relative proximity to my place of work. In the morning, as agreed, I drove the car to 10, it was examined and "sentenced" to replace the supply and return pipes of the EGUR pump. The master found used tube parts on a well-known website and offered to supply used ones. My remark that the engine 3.0 is indicated in the ad, and mine is 2.2, did not bother him, he said that they were the same. Well, OK, I say, order, you should know better. I left my car and took public transport to work. He was supposed to pick up the car in the evening of the same day. They ordered the delivery of used tubes by taxi. About 4 hours later, they called back and said that the tubes did not fit. Ahahhahhahah. That was about my reaction. Guess at whose expense the unsuitable tubes were sent in both directions?))) They offered to remove mine and order the manufacture of new ones according to their sample. I didn't see much choice, so they did.
As a result, at lunch the next day they called back and said that the car would be ready by evening. They work until 20, I drove up to them by 19. They were just starting to put the tubes back in place. Well, OK, we're waiting. While walking down the street, I watched out of the corner of my eye with what "love and professionalism" the mechanic was putting new tubes on. Even then I realized that the guys are clearly not the professionals they pretend to be. Upon completion of the work, the mechanic poured liquid into the system and asked the foreman to start the engine to pump the system. After starting the engine, the steering wheel in the cabin began to shake so much from side to side that the master got out of the car with a kind of mildly saying "what was it". I didn't attach any importance to it then, but in vain.
Returning that evening from the miracle station, I noticed that the EGUR pump was howling so that it was more audible in the cabin than the engine. By the way, I kept the recording from the DVR when I arrived at the service station and after repair, the airplane howl is clearly heard there when the steering wheel turns. The next morning I stopped by their place before work again. They said that valves were installed in the new tubes, which would work for +-2 thousand km. and the problem would disappear. By the way, no matter how much I asked later at other service stations about these valves in the tubes, no one had heard anything like that in principle)))
During my runs, I rolled 2 thousand km. and on 2/11/2022 I came to them again. Of course, they spread their hands and said that they needed to change the pump. They offered their services to replace the pump. I laughed about it to myself and left.
In general, with the cost of tubes and work on their replacement at +-$ 150, I simultaneously got to replace the pump, the cost of which on the well-known used spare parts site is just starting at $ 150. Draw your own conclusions whether it is worth letting the curved handles of the locksmiths of this service station into your car.
