Zh.Kalinkovichi railway station is an important railway hub! This is my childhood and youth! It's the thrill of the joy of returning when you step onto the platform! This is my life! I remember a time when there were bushes of bright roses growing in the flower beds and dad wouldn't let me pick them, I remember how my grandmother sold strawberries near the train station in such a special place for one-time trade and used the proceeds of 30 kopecks to buy me a popsicle and I was looking forward to this moment with delight! One wasp bit my lip and there was a sea of tears and blood! I remember the ditch on the platform, where the water flowed from the taps and you could get drunk and refill the bottle with water! I remember the black metal plates on the platform all covered in fragments from aerial bombardments . And the train station with wooden sofas and candelabra on the walls and a huge chandelier. WWII invalids on wooden gurneys and the buffet is covered in tobacco smoke. And Dad told me that the station was built by captured Germans after the war. And there are a lot of pigeons on the roof at the entrance to the train station. Today, of course, it's not the same! There is no rhythm to life. The station is calm, measured and somehow passing!
