The airport is cramped and tired, in need of modernization. Inside the crowd, the surrounding area is always under repair, and walking to the parking lot is just a marathon for the hardiest. If possible, it is better to choose another airport.
A small airport, near London. You can get there by bus or train + metro. Tickets to the city can be purchased online or on the spot at the ticket office, and you can also pay with a card.
It's a good airport. Not big, but with a large neutral zone. You can eat for 7-8 pounds. There are always seats in the waiting room. The most interesting thing is that upon arrival they looked at my Russian passport, gave it to me and let me through without asking anything or even putting a stamp on it. Everyone, regardless of citizenship, is treated with very good respect.
