Good afternoon!
October in Pattaya!
I stayed at this hotel from 25.09 to 03.10. Everything is wonderful!
About the hotel:
•Excellent Deluxe room: a wide bed with a high-quality mattress, bath, shower, sea view; cleanliness everywhere; every day the room is cleaned, towels are changed (I have never seen such large towels anywhere!), hygiene products are filled, soap shampoo, conditioner in dispensers, drinking water, tea, coffee, cream; shaving a set is available on request, washcloths are not provided, bathrobes are available, water is put on 2b, sometimes 4.
•Breakfast from 06.00-10.30: both European and Asian (because the majority of vacationers are Chinese). Cheeses of 4 types, sausages, fruits, yoghurts, soups, boiled, fried eggs, omelette, pastries, greens, pork in various variations, ice cream, jams, coffee from a coffee machine, juices. Everything is replenished, no problem. There are a lot of guests on weekends - but they find a place for everyone!
•Long coastline, after breakfast you can take a walk, no one occupies the sun beds, towels are large, you can change during the day. The beach is apparently only for Russians, basically everyone is by the pool!
• The staff are all friendly, there is a Russian-speaking Maria at the reception, the rest also understand and respond through an interpreter. An electric car is carried to the main road - it is very convenient, if you return with packages in the evening, then a security officer will call a car and you will be taken to the hotel (for some reason not in the afternoon)!
• A 2–storey bus carries a 2-storey bus to the shopping center "Terminal 21 Pattaya", in the evening when they picked up the air conditioner blew perfectly, in the afternoon when they drove very weakly.
• From 16-17.00 chocolate hour : flakes in different types of chocolate + brownie cakes
• A big plus is the silence at night!!! You can get enough sleep !
About the neighborhood:
All establishments are a 10-minute walk from the main road: massage parlors (I liked "Salatai"), pharmacies across the street, 7-Eleven shops on both sides, everyone eats in a cafe near Tui (very tasty, prices are excellent) across the street.
You can take a taxi to other shopping centers, the evening market., I went a couple of times, just follow the map through the app MAPS.me where you are being taken, because they may stop you not where you indicated.
The distance from the whole evening life of Pattaya can be considered both a plus and a minus, who needs what!
A great option for a relaxing, comfortable stay.
So, in order. Movenpik is located on the southern outskirts of Pattaya. There are pros and cons to this. Pros: not noisy, not crowded, great private beach, cleaner sea. Cons: you have to take a taxi to shopping malls, walking streets, and entertainment venues. However, near the hotel there is the most necessary infrastructure: a small market with fruits and other products, several cafes, massage, pharmacy, exchanger, two 7/11 (Thai equivalent of "Pyaterochka").
The hotel itself: one high-rise building of 35 floors. Life hack: ask for higher rooms, from the 20th floor. For some reason, little is written about this in the reviews, but the balcony offers a magnificent view of the bay, beaches, and the city. It's just breathtaking! A big plus of the hotel is that a Russian-speaking guest-relay works at the reception, Maria is a very nice girl, she will always help you! Not every Thai hotel has Russian-speaking staff, this is not Turkey).
Rooms. Big, good ones. Huge beds. All the necessary hygiene supplies, as they should be in the normal top five. We were pleased with the tea and coffee and ironing stations. Water is brought in 4 bottles every day. They clean well. The only drawback is that there is no dryer on the balcony, I had to hang swimsuits and towels directly on the balcony chairs.
Territory. A small one. Two swimming pools with a bar and a beach. There are several other restaurants, a gym, a spa, and a children's center in the building itself. That's enough for Ty, there's no one sitting in the hotel. The beach is sandy, the entrance to the sea is good, but not very shallow - it gets deep pretty quickly. There are a lot of sun loungers, there is enough for everyone. You can go hiking and boating for free. There is a playground with fountain figures and one water slide.
Food. We only had breakfast included. They are very good! Juices from tropical fruits and these fruits themselves, dishes of different national cuisines, several types of cheese, ice cream. There are both European and Asian dishes. There is a separate table with dishes for children. Another "bun" from the hotel is the "chocolate hour". Every day from 16 to 17, the restaurant displays delicious food: various nuts and flakes in chocolate, brownies. It's free, though, you need to buy drinks for such splendor).
Lunch and dinner are available at the local bar or a la carte restaurants. It's not cheap. In addition, another 17% service fee and some kind of tax are added to this price. So one pizza and a couple of drinks will cost you at least 1,500 baht. This is 4,500 in rubles. There are two ways to get food outside the hotel) The first is to go to 7/11, there are a lot of ready-made dishes, they only need to be warmed up and they do it right at the checkout at your request. The second option is to go to Pattaya or eat at nearby cafes. The Tui cafe is highly praised, it is to the right of the hotel, across the street, you need to cross the overpass. We were there, and it's true - it's delicious and cheap. One disadvantage is that there are a lot of stray dogs in Pattaya. They don't seem to bark, they don't touch anyone, but when you walk along the highway in the evening, and such a pack runs past you… Anyway, we went to 7/11, it's literally two steps away from the hotel. By the way, an electric car carries you from the hotel to the main road for free.
An important point! The hotel has a deposit. We paid 200 euros for 7 nights. If you did not break anything and did not use the mini-bar (it is paid), then at the end of the rest they will be returned to you safe and sound.
In general, if you want to relax quietly, quietly, without constant hangouts, but with good service, you go there).
We had a family vacation at the hotel from January 2 to January 10, 2025
The location of the hotel is far from the center of Pattaya, 20 minutes by car, but a quiet and peaceful area.
Room: we were given a room on the 7th floor, spacious, with one king size bed and 1 double bed for children. The bathroom had a shower and a hydro massage tub. Cleaning was done every day. The peak days on January 1-4 are in the late afternoon, then in the morning. There is tea and coffee in the room, always replenished. The bathroom was also stocked with shampoo, toothpaste, etc. There is a good hairdryer in the room, there is an iron and ironing board. The trouble was with the water - you had to wait at least 15 minutes for the hot water to run, and you had to wash your hair with cold water in the morning.
The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. Russian-speaking administrator Maria, responsive and open. There was a club car running from the hotel to the main road, and it was possible to get there without any problems, although it wasn't far on foot.
Food: the breakfast was varied, with a choice of scrambled eggs, fruits, yoghurts, cereals, cheeses, sausages, pastries, lots of juices. Separate plastic plates in the form of Mickey Mouse for children. At the entrance, the administrator distributed the flows, there were always tables. But during the rush hour (9:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. due to the large number of people, coffee machines broke down every now and then, food ran out). There was a separate table with free ice cream, but it ran out by 9 a.m. and was no longer replenished. The breakfasts themselves are from 6 to 10-30, which is convenient for those who have already left early in the morning for excursions.
The rest of the time, the a la carte restaurant food, in my opinion, was not worth the money. We had dinner once - rice with seafood was brought cold, drinks were carried for a very long time. At the same time, it is more expensive than in a nearby hotel or cafe nearby.
From 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. there is a Chocolate hour at the hotel, you can come to eat flakes and nuts in chocolate, but at the same time coffee and tea are not offered, only for money, which is strange, in my opinion.
From 21 to 23 in the lobby bar and restaurant at the happy hours pool there are 2 cocktails for the price of one, but they are expensive and tasteless there, so we didn't really sit there.
200 meters to the right of the hotel is a small shop 7/11, where you can buy everything you need. And there is also a great little place called "Eat served", where all the local Russian tourists eat. There is a huge selection of seafood, there are also traditional dishes for children (the same macaroni and cheese), beer, wine, and very inexpensive. Delicious and safe- we only had lunch there for 10 days and never had a stomach ache. Helpful staff who speaks a little Russian.
On the other side of the hotel, 800 meters away, fruit stalls, massage parlors at reasonable prices. Amazing pancakes with banana or mango are made near the ground crossing across the road.
Not far from the hotel, if you walk along the beach for 250 meters, we discovered a small Wonder Bar establishment - a couple of tables right on the sand, beer and their local food are on the menu. It's good to go there a couple of times.
The beach, the sea - that's where the biggest disappointment is. The sand is dirty, the sea is muddy and smelly. There are catastrophically few sun beds on the beach and near the pool, at 7-30 in the morning all the sun beds are already occupied, not an option at all. Umbrellas are only near the pool, there are a couple of palm trees on the beach that do not protect from the sun's rays. Once we got up early on purpose, took sun beds, and when we arrived, other tourists took several sun beds from us. And on the beach, a children's swimming circle was stolen from us, the staff, of course, tried to help, but to no avail. It really spoiled the impression of the rest. There are a lot of people carrying shrimps, fruits, beads, massagers, tattoos, and they are inundated with offers. Toys for playing with sand were available
Entertainment: the hotel has a playroom for children, but classes there are mainly for children aged 7-10 (various crafts, puppet theater, etc.), and we did not go. There's a fire show on Saturdays, and basically everything- there's not much animation.
Swimming pool, playground- one pool with a small slide, there was a swimming circle, armbands for children, but it was necessary to take them early. A large playground and a huge soccer field
There is a good gym in the hotel- a cardio room and a strength training room - there is water, apples, towels. Worthy
Overall, the hotel has little space and is boring. If you come there, then you definitely need to take excursions to diversify your vacation.
