The oldest theater in the republic. It was built in 1888 by architect Kamburov. He has a rich history. When it was not yet a repertory theater, it was visited by visiting, entreprise troupes. Chaliapin sang in it, Mammoth-Dalsky, Komissarzhevskaya, Savina and many other famous actors and actresses played. In 2006, the well-established International Theater Forum "М.@rt-контакт ", which the Mogilev public fell in love with and which, this very public, looks forward to every year.

Provincial, but very nice. I liked the performance. The theater is beautiful. The sculpture of a lady with a dog at the entrance is magnificent. Before the performance, a wonderful violin quartet of talented female performers played in the musical living room of the theater. The tickets are very cheap. 11 BYN for a ticket to the front row of the stalls is amazing. Almost free by Russian standards.

The theater is very beautiful inside, the architecture, the atmosphere, the theater staff are very friendly, this year before the performance "Oblom Off" the bonus was a small musical assortment performed by a group of musicians. The buffet is always not available, in the sense that how many times we tried to buy something there, getting in line (but since it hardly moves, the girls sleep there), the bell always rang before our queue moved, that's how it is. The actors themselves performed some kind of vulgar version of the great work, I think Goncharov probably turned over in his grave, but the audience laughed, probably the part that did not read this work.

There are good, interesting, bright actors and actresses. There are interesting successful productions. The lack of competition, alternatives in the city makes it impossible to give an adequate assessment, and an asterisk for this. In general, it is very decent, especially in our city.
There is a big minus to the buffet, but it is not a bar or a restaurant, I will not emphasize it.

I was at the opening of the season, I liked everything except the buffet, where one coffee maker works and it's unrealistic to drink coffee during the intermission, by the way, we were at the theater in April, so it didn't work at all. The play "Caligula" is difficult for me to watch, but P. Zarovsky did a wonderful job with the main role, he plays, as they say, "for a rupture of the aorta." I thank the artist for his talent!
