An amazing, informative, well-organized place for guided tours! We are delighted with the exposition, the dioramas, the tour guide Oksana Petrovna, the women who are just caretakers on the 2nd and 3rd floors. (On the first floor, the aunts answered our questions rudely: and we don't have to tell you anything)
But all this is secondary. The primary items are exhibits, a video chronicle of Emperor Nicholas II, collages, photographic artifacts, and an inlaid history table. We spent three hours in the museum and didn't even notice how time flew by.
The building is old, the walls are one and a half meters high, oak doors, everything creates the impression of preserving history...everything breathes history.
Excellent local history museum!
Those who like to delve deeper into the history of the city are definitely recommended to visit - the expositions are interesting, the exhibits are diverse, and the entrance ticket is inexpensive
A small but very interesting museum. There are many local artifacts and stories about our region. The excursions are informative, definitely worth a visit if you are interested in the history of your native land
The museum as a whole is interesting to those who are interested. Personally, it was interesting to look at the old writings.
But......somehow everything is "far-fetched". As it was 10 years ago, everything remains the same.
And the most interesting thing, as the museum staff said, is that you can't take pictures in the museum with a camera, but you can use your phone. At the same time, the duty officers could not explain the reason for such a requirement, at the same time ....... they still said that you can still take photos on a photo camera but for 5 rubles. I laughed at such stupid people..........savok in one word.
The museum is interesting, it occupies the area of a three-storey historical building on the square of Glory. It has a large and diverse collection of exhibits on the history and nature of the Mogilev region. The halls of the museum are well prepared for visitors. The museum staff is friendly and courteous. We visited the museum with great attention. I especially liked the exhibition "Archaeology and Ancient History".
A very good museum, excellent exhibitions, polite and friendly staff, a large amount of historical material. Convenient location, there are other attractions nearby. There are restrooms in the museum.
It's a great place. The expositions are originally composed. The staff are competent, responsive, just sweethearts. I like to visit temporary exhibitions here and see permanent exhibitions.
The museum is beautiful. All the pain of all the wars of the twentieth century runs like a thin thread through the entire exposition. The caretakers in the halls are simply delighted, as if they are living the lives of people in photographs from the exhibition. Special thanks to the woman at the checkout - the man is really passionate about his work and sincerely glad to every visitor. There should be more such people in every museum! We spent almost three hours there and experienced an incredible range of emotions - and cried, and laughed, and then cried again. We came out of there under great impression

It's a good museum. I liked the expositions. The museum staff are very friendly, for which I thank them very much. They told us a lot of interesting things. The archaeology department is on the ground floor. The second is nature and history. On the third World War.
Thanks to the employee of the museum who met us and conducted a conversation on the history of the city, Mogilev began to play with bright colors. Thank you very much (unfortunately I do not know the name and patronymic) to this wonderful woman. The museum is great, I especially liked the nature department. I recommend
An interesting place, a lot of exhibits. We were here on May Day holidays, all the guides were busy.We couldn't get on the tour.We looked at it on our own.I really liked the video about the Nicholas 2 bet in Mogilev
Visiting the Museum of local lore you will discover a lot of interesting things. The history in the museum begins from the Stone Age to the present day, as well as a lot of information about nature, about animals, birds that live in our region. A military historical exhibition awaits you on the third floor. Where you can see exhibits, coins, clothes from different centuries and times.
The museum is very interesting. The woman at the checkout is just gorgeous. We came as a family, she asked where we were from and began to tell us the story of the creation of this museum and in general for Belarus. It is very interesting and informative. I wish there were more such interesting and dedicated people. Thank you.
It's a very interesting place. The only building preserved from the royal buildings. Tsar Nicholas 2 was in the building. Take a guide (not expensive), you will not regret visiting the museum.
A wonderful guide, an interesting and rich exhibition. Comfortable and peaceful atmosphere. The desire to visit the museum more than once. And I will recommend it to my friends. Just super

A surprisingly chic museum with an extensive exposition covering the territory of the Mogilev region from dinosaurs to the times of the Great Patriotic War, located on four floors. The exhibits are presented in the form of diaramas, photographs, interiors, stuffed animals and mannequins of representatives of the eras shown. The caretakers of the halls are willing to talk about the exhibition and answer questions that arise in the process. The exposition dedicated to the First World War is especially interesting. At that time, the headquarters of the supreme command was located in the museum building and the last emperor of Russia and his family visited the city, as well as newsreel footage of this stage of the city's life.
The main museum of the Mogilev region. Expositions on the history of the region, as well as an exposition of nature, have been created. There are many interesting exhibits.
if you are a museum lover and are interested in the history of the Second World War, but this place is probably not for you, the museum itself is located next to beautiful objects
Informative. Many thanks to the employees who love their craft, treat visitors with respect, arrange mini-excursions into the mysteries of the past, but not to those who only supervise, only with the intention of once again shouting that you can't touch anything ;)
An interesting museum with good staff, interesting exhibits (which is only worth a cannon standing on the 3rd (or 4th floor). I advise everyone to visit
Excellent interior artifacts need to be cleaned the museum in Mogilev, we are waiting for everyone, we will be glad to see everyone near the stop of the pizzeria cafe and there is something to see
The museum is great. The exposition is large and diverse, while it is competently and consistently built so that you really walk through the entire history of the city step by step. I really liked it

One of the oldest museums in the city. The expositions are very thoughtful.I think it's definitely worth going to this museum, even for those who have already been there. The expositions are constantly updated.
Since my childhood (20+ years old), it seems that nothing has changed. At that time, in the absence of spectacles, it was interesting and unusual for us, and I doubt that today's children need to change the format somehow, although I myself understand how unrealistic what I am talking about is in the current realities
A great place for both city guests , school and family excursions, and for adults to relax culturally. Good and qualified staff. I was a volunteer at the museum nights - a lot of positive emotions)
We spent three hours in this museum, there is something to see. You can't cover everything at once. Let's come again. There are a lot of unique exhibits.
The permanent exhibitions are of course so-so, boring, but the temporary ones that come are gorgeous. Recently there was a private collection of women's dresses and perfumes, some of them are 200 years old, they were beautiful)
It's a wonderful place. Excellent expositions, very interesting stories about the course, a lot of exhibits, even a potter is there. We recommend it to everyone, you can find a lot of interesting things for children from 3.5 years old
Wonderful staff, pay attention to every visitor, thanks to these people who know history and are able to give full information about historical events.

The expositions are impressive, of course, but the staff is even more impressive. Esteemed ladies are IN LOVE with their business. The usher began to introduce us to the history of the beautiful city of Mogilev before buying a ticket. We will definitely come back again.
I visited this museum for the first time at the age of 6-7. Then with the class from the school.
It is always informative and interesting.
Now I was taking my first-grader daughter.
