The writer's Memorial Museum is located in an apartment occupying an entire floor, which Hugo rented in 1832-1848. The interior of the apartment, of course, was restored, but at the time of the museum's opening on June 30, 1903, the interiors were recreated in their original form, as under Victor Hugo. Meanwhile, the writer's bedroom and the bed in which he died on May 22, 1885, were moved to the Maison de Victor Hugo from his house at 130 Avenue d'EYLAU, where he spent the last years of his life from 1878 to 1885...
