Walking along the Baku embankment, we stopped at the Barbecue Steakhouse restaurant. The table was not booked in advance. It was about two o'clock in the afternoon, and there were a lot of places. We were led into the hall and seated at an empty table. We wanted to eat mutton and ordered a mutton entrecote, mutton kebab, kutabs, salad and beer. The choice of beer, as in other establishments in Baku, is not very large. Besides, not everything was listed in the menu. The waiter brought the lamb dishes on one plate. We were surprised by the size of the portions and asked for one or two dishes just in case. The waiter confirmed that these were two dishes. A mutton entrecote is one small bone and a separate small piece of meat (an apple, as the waiter said). The menu indicates that the serving is 200 grams. In fact, it was about 75 grams. The establishment should be ashamed to serve such portions to guests. The meat turned out to taste average. For the same money, you can get 2.5 times more portions in other establishments in Baku, such as Gainana or Dolma. Given the distance of the establishment from the center and the price level, we do not recommend the place to visit.

We decided that the waiter decided that we had one behind our eyes. We ate, and the bill was brought for two different dishes, explaining that they decided to combine them into one))) the cocktail was brought as regular water. I liked only the salad of fresh vegetables, delicious and large.

The first three people arrived before everyone else, then two more were added to them. We arrived later than everyone else. My friends have been resting for 3-4 hours, we sat for 30 minutes. When the company is resting and has already had a decent drink, they do not notice what is happening, but what happened was that the wine was poured, poured without demand and the bottles were already going for a dozen. They poured a little more, opened new bottles and poured again. The menu was very limited, there was almost no choice. Meat steaks and fish steaks, plus a couple of snacks. Most likely, we got there like that, there can't be a restaurant that advised us to be so empty. For me, the atmosphere and decor are outdated, but according to the locals, this is one of the most luxurious places. By the way, the price tag is decent, the steak came out about 5,000 rubles, but it's delicious. Minus 2 stars, for the fact that the waiter pours it himself, without asking, opens the bottles further, and without paying attention to the fact that I am in a position, they also poured it for me right away :) by the way, they even pour tea, I had to wait for the waiter until he paid attention to me to pour tea. And also a minus star for the outdated atmosphere.

Overcooked and dry meat, deception and the waiter's desire to cram in all the most expensive and more. I attach a photo: photo 1 - the waiter advised pilaf a LITTLE bit on the side dish, photo 2 - ordered a lamb entrecote, 200 grams were indicated on the menu, a small piece of meat on the bone. Unfortunately, there are no photos before. When they tried to call the manager and solve the problem in a good way, the manager ran away and did not want to approach, the waiter threw up his hands, and in the end they asked him to leave the institution very rudely, and they also put a guard. in general, 2 stars out of 5 for delicious salads)))

In the Mangal restaurant we had a gala dinner for a group of 50 people. A warm evening of Azerbaijani cuisine in the colorful interiors of the steakhouse was a success. Everything was there: plentifully and beautifully laid tables, interesting serving, live national music, lots of snacks, fish, chicken and lamb for hot, good wine and Azerbaijani cognac, diligent and helpful waiters, dancing and a great mood. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with the famous shah pilaf in gazmakh - a crispy golden "crown" of lavash, which was skillfully opened by a waiter to extract fragrant appetizing treasures. Mmmm, delicious! It was fun, delicious, entourage and authentic. The only negative is that it is not at all budget–friendly to eat here, prices are much higher than average. The place is hyped and popular: on Saturday evening, all the halls of the restaurant were crowded, so without booking a table, it is unlikely that you will get to the weekend.
