The Marco Polo Hotel is, I think, one of the best!!! Friendly , attentive , helpful staff . The rooms are cozy and clean. Convenient proximity of the elevator . The location of the hotel offers a quiet, family-friendly, secluded holiday. Inside the hotel you can find places and activities for pleasant leisure. The breakfasts feature a varied selection of dishes. The hotel itself provides equipment rental, as well as within easy reach, directly at the ski lift itself, you will find convenient places to rent with friendly staff!!!!

1 star only for the location — it is convenient to go down from the ski room to the ski lift (although you have to climb back up the hill).
The hotel itself is just something with something. At the end of our holidays, my husband and I always stay in premium hotels by the standards of the country where we are located. And this hotel is the worst thing that's ever happened to us.
A snow storm hit during our vacation, after which the road to Russia was closed for several days. On the last day of our stay at this hotel, the road was closed, and we decided to extend our stay here for 1 night. At the reception, we were told that there were no rooms available (well, not if the road was already closed for 4 days at that time and a lot of people couldn't get there for sure), there are rooms at the booking office. We were offered to leave our room at 12 o'clock and check into another room at 3 p.m. Why can't we extend our number is a question that the administrator didn't have an answer to. We also did not receive an answer to the question of her familiarity with the concept of "customer service". We decided to get out of harm's way and not tolerate the boorish attitude for 25 thousand per night.
Then breakfast. They were the same every day of our stay. We tried going to them both at the opening and at the end, the food was always icy. From the choice (if you don't eat questionable sausage and broccoli quality), you can take terrible-smelling scrambled eggs, bacon and vegetables. The pancakes were decent, and the coffee machine made cappuccino without milk. The restaurant itself is small and cold, the windows are old and they blow if you sit next to them.
The rooms. They are very old, although they have been tried to modernize them, for example, to insert flush-mounted doors or installations. But the problem is that the bed, which bends in the center from old age, and the terribly hard mattress, with pillows in which you can feel all the loose sintepon, will not be saved by any visual improvements. The room is also hot and cold, there is no temperature control.
Spa. There is an outdoor lukewarm pool if it is also cool indoors. There are several sun beds and red saddles that take pictures everywhere. There is a hammam and sauna, very small, and there is a crowd in them after the lifts close. But generally passable. Massage is a separate song. The classic one costs 200 lari, for this amount, in the last session, the master simply stroked the skin with an abundance of some kind of oil, for some reason she did something like a "head massage" with the same oil and stained all her hair. During the massage, she did not offer to cover the non-massaged parts of the body with anything, it was very cold. In general, I chose the last available session of the day, and it was clear that the master was tired, but it's just not okay to squat while massaging her hands. Money thrown into the air.
Entertainments. Bowling and billiards are available at the hotel, I don't know the prices, but according to my husband, bowling is like in Moscow. In general, it's not bad, but they don't give you a change of shoes, for example, and they allow children to play without adult supervision — they run around in socks on slippery surfaces, and it's questionable how they hold heavy balls, which is dangerous for everyone who rests there. But the cocktails were not bad, although it was expensive (about 30 GEL per glass).
We will never return to this hotel again, we will not advise anyone, and in general, we advise you all to avoid it if you do not want to get terrible service and quality of the hotel for fabulous money (we had the same 30k per night for a premium room in the European network of Le Meridien in Mauritius).

This is a great hotel. Delicious and hearty breakfasts, cozy rooms with comfortable beds and pillows. The room has a bathrobe, slippers, hair dryer, shower gel, shampoo 2 in 1, but there are no shaving accessories, toothbrushes and body milk. There is a storage room with a ski and boot dryer. Exit the hotel to the ski lift and ticket offices to buy a ski pass.
A spa center with a swimming pool is included in the price. For an additional fee.Massages and spa treatments are available for a fee. You can also pay extra in the evening.You can have fun bowling or billiards.
The staff is polite and helpful. They mostly speak Georgian and English, and there are Russian-speaking staff.
The hotel was built in 1988. Most of the rooms have been renovated.
We really enjoyed our vacation here, we will be happy to return.

To begin with, this hotel was positioned as the best in Gudauri, but we stayed at the Gudauri Lodge first and I can say with confidence that everything was much better there!

For 280 euros (one adult and one child), the table was disgusting
The child could not eat any of the presented items, I asked to make macaroni and cheese, the staff ignored my request, but brought some not tasty cakes.
In general, we were given nedohachapuri, dolma, cheeses (there were more or less normal suluguni), vegetable salad and an incomprehensible salad, satsivi, which we didn't even touch, ribs, shish kebab (it's impossible to eat it), fish, and then fruit, there was something else, but it just looked like Fuck off, this is absolutely not about the holiday, and even more so not about the New Year!
I hope management will read my review and do something about it.
Breakfast is the same every day, but that's okay, we didn't have enough pancakes for the child on the menu.
I must say separately about suluguni - well, it tastes a hundred times better in the Moscow market, I don't understand at all where they get tasteless suluguni in Georgia
The waiters walk around with unhappy faces, as if they are being beaten and forced to work here.
Today, only one girl in the restaurant was trying to fix the jambs that were constantly popping in, for which I thank her very much!

The hotel has a maximum of 3 stars. Not 5, and not even 4. For the price that the hotel offers, you can find much better quality. The hotel is outdated, to put it mildly. The service leaves much to be desired. If you use all those who give the hotel in the bathroom (chopsticks / caps), then they will not be delivered to you. You have to ask. If the bathrobes were taken to the laundry after the spa, then you need to ask for new ones, if you drank tea / coffee / water in the room, then you need to ask for new ones.
The batteries are not working in the room, if they are working, then with strange gurgling sounds. The door to the corridor is made of cardboard, and you can clearly hear who went where and at what time, even if you tiptoe. In general, the expectation / reality. Complete disappointment.

For example, you can have breakfast, drink coffee quietly, and the staff will giggle and shout over each other from behind.
Or another example - in a spa, at a massage (the cost of which is high, but the massage itself is at a high level), they can easily start vacuuming nearby, literally over your ear.
The guards look at everyone as if they are suspected of theft
Ps there are no breakfasts. Two times there were no eggs at all. No boiled, no omelet, no fried - supply disruptions

They don't pay attention to you in the lounge of a 5-star hotel, you look for the menu yourself. A long pitch. And I have never seen worse breakfasts in this hotel. It's just that no one from the company could have a proper breakfast. The same thing every day + no choice at all. I don't talk about cleaning at all. Everyone rides until the wheelchair closes (it closes at 5), and for some reason cleaning takes place in the afternoon just past our room and they come to us only after 6 pm, when we have already come to rest in the room. At the same time, if you are staying in the lobby with a company, drinking from the bar, then there should be nothing but these drinks bought at the bar. If you hear noise from the game room (billiards and bowling - and you understand how noisy it is in bowling), you close the door there (which opens just as easily), the Georgian staff comes out, who persistently opens it, and you close it again, because stupidly nothing is heard because of these sounds, and it goes on like this 5 times, and then they say that their rule is supposedly not to close the doors, so you listen to this noise here and don't care) to pay off more than 220k per room and get like this - it's fast) The girls and I decided to move a couple of chairs in the lobby, and security ran over us and watched us all evening. Nice hotel close to the highway. The buffet is not very diverse, but everything is fresh and delicious, in sufficient quantity. There was jamon and bee products, fruits, Georgian cheeses.
SkiDeport has a strange approach: all cabinets have magnetic locks, but there is still a specially trained employee who opens the lockers on request. Why not leave this part for self—service is not clear.

The hotel is outdated and has not been 5* for a long time. The rooms are tired. In addition to shampoo and soap, there are no bathroom accessories in the rooms anymore. There is no water in the rooms either. The cleaning is bad. A cleaner was called several times to clean the bathroom floor properly.
The Ski room includes drying only for a couple of hours, the shoes do not have time to dry.
There is a lot of pathos, the level is weak....

The rooms are nice and clean. It is located right at the 1st lift, so a full-fledged ski-in/ski-out. Buffet for breakfast and dinner, a good restaurant, with reasonable prices the rest of the time, bowling, billiards. Spa area with sauna,Jacuzzi and swimming pool. A swimming pool with panoramic windows with cool mountain views. The only drawback is the prices for accommodation, for this only 4 stars.

The location of the hotel is very convenient. You go directly to the ski lift and ski down the mountain directly to the hotel. The pool is included in the price, very cozy, open until 22 hours. The hotel organizes all sorts of parties and live music, they try to diversify their leisure time, because there is nowhere to go. We liked the skiing, there was a lot of snow, there were no queues and the slopes were free. We have not found a better hotel in Gudauri. Thank you.

I was in Marco in early February 2019. Soviet dirty rooms with broken plumbing, the reception did not even bother to escort them to the room. The spa is not bad, but there is no joint sauna, the Jacuzzi stinks and mud floats. The paths on the territory of the hotel are all covered in ice, it is impossible to walk!!!
The breakfasts are super delicious! It is located right on the ski track.
The price does not match the quality!!! Many hotels are much better, cleaner and cheaper
