It would seem that there is no official museum escort, it is not close to Baku, and there is nothing inside the fortress of Posti except the tower. However, thanks to the local caretaker, who has been looking after the object for more than 40 years, and he also conducts an excursion) filling it with color and even, one might say, comfort, visiting the fortress is one of the most memorable events.
The floors in the fortress were almost driven away, and the stairs in one of the towers are half-worn and uncomfortable steps.
However, it is very atmospheric. And the view from the roof of the fortress is breathtaking (maybe partly from the fact that it seems as if it will now disappear from under your feet))).
Anyway, visiting this fortress is seven times more interesting than the maiden tower in Baku. And it's so much cheaper. In fact, it is free, but to leave a few manats to the caretaker as a thank you is not necessary, but I want to).
A magnificent historical monument, and especially its caretaker. We got to know this place and this wonderful man with great interest. Vidadi, or as he appears - Valera, served as a paratrooper in the Soviet Army and is very sorry that the Soviet Union collapsed.
A great place, we got there on our own using Yandex. Navigator. The caretaker and keeper of this place is a very kind and sociable Person, he told me everything, showed me everything, allowed me to go upstairs, walk around. He told me how the village used to live, how it is now, and finally explained how to get to the round tower. Thanks a lot to him. In general, people in Azerbaijan are very responsive
It's beautiful, hidden in the alleys, but you can't get inside, and you can see that the condition leaves much to be desired, unfortunately. It would be possible to organize a small museum.
We drove by touch through the private sector using the navigator). There is a dense private development around the tower. It is impossible to get into the tower itself, as it is closed and in disrepair. We talked to the locals, they went to get the caretaker of the tower (a grandfather of 80-85 years old), he took us inside and allowed us to go upstairs. Climbing 8 floors up a narrow staircase in the dark and periodically going out onto the rotten floors of the floors added extreme. But the view from above was worth it.
The caretaker of the tower also gave us a short tour of the territory and told us a lot of interesting things.
According to him, soon the entire area around will be freed from houses and make an attraction accessible to tourists.
The fortress, of course, is wonderful, but he will open it to you and tell you everything, as far as I understand, the only employee, he is also a guide, he is also the director of a very, very respectable age. He will be called to you by phone. And he will definitely come to you, and will be glad to anyone who is interested in history. He will tell and show everything, especially since much has been saved by his efforts. You will not hold stone axes and scrapers and other historical relics anywhere else. And nowhere else will you hear the Aksakal's own opinion about what he thinks about what has happened and what is happening in our common country and in Azerbaijan in particular. May God grant long life to such people! And the tower yes - 13th century, may have been built earlier.
A beautiful historical place. The visit is free, but for us the guide called the caretaker to open the entrance for us. Inside the tower there is a narrow staircase inside the wall several floors up. It's a little scary on these stairs, so I didn't go upstairs.
The tower is a castle, the "keeper" opens. There is a small mosque in the courtyard. Atmospheric, but not about antiquity. You don't have to go on purpose.

A beautiful castle, but inside it is in complete disrepair and in need of repair. Officially, the castle does not work, but you can ask the local old caretaker and he will open the gate and take a tour
A beautiful place. I remember when I was a child, I went to the Mardakian castle with my grandmother and there were huge holes that had apparently already been closed with iron.
