Completely new, nothing historical, just an unusual place for people who know about amphitheaters only from textbooks. You can only watch from behind the fence at the entrance. No shade, it's hot))), up to +40 and above))). Concerts of modern classical, national and all other types of musical art are constantly held there)). I do not recommend going to "see the amphitheater" from afar. It will not justify any hopes for ancient historicism.
It was in October 2024, it is located in the upper part of the city, it is better to climb from the embankment where the monument to Ataturk, the entrance was closed with a chain, but in the middle there was a gate at which you can push back the latch and pass. It's a nice building, the amphitheater is not as big as in Ephesus and is new in appearance, but it's still worth a visit
It's great that this is a functioning outdoor venue for concerts. If you decide to take a walk there, be sure to look at the concert schedule, there are rehearsals these days in the morning.
For us, as residents of a cold climate, this is an exotic concert hall format. It looks pretty. Of course, this is not an antique building, but a new model. But nice!
There were no performances, the first time I came in the evening - the gates were closed. The next morning, the local said they were performing, but deceived them. You can just look at it for 10-15 minutes, the view of the city from the highest point is not bad for a photo.
For the first time I was at a real concert in a real historical amphitheater (V century BC). Very unusual, I liked it, I recommend it! Tickets can be purchased on the square near the monument to Ataturk, on the website (not for Russian cards, unfortunately), and immediately before the concert at the box office of the amphitheater.
Completely renovated. There's nothing left of the old days. It was closed. It was not possible to get inside, although they came during business hours. We looked over the fence.
It's a cool place, we were on Monday at 9 a.m. The gates are open, the entrance is free. There was a cat at the entrance and some homeless person was sleeping at the very top) in general, a cool place for photos and a beautiful view of the city. I think it's worth a visit...

They open it for concerts. This is not an architectural monument, but a modern open-air hall, probably recreated on the site of an ancient theater.
A very interesting place, you can even come to take pictures and admire the panoramic view of Marmaris without even attending the concert, I recommend it for a mandatory visit
It's just not possible to get there, it's closed...
We were lucky that some person from the staff came and he kindly allowed us to walk there for 5 minutes while he was doing his business, that was enough time for us to take a couple of photos, thanks to him!
They let me in for free. We just came to admire the place, sit and look at the beautiful horizon of houses and the distant sea.
Come and see, it's beautiful.
It's beautiful, you can take pictures against the background of history, and in the evening drink wine and bread while admiring the city. But this is a new model and it has to do with history, only because it was built where it was.
It's a very beautiful place, but unfortunately we didn't get to it. The gates are closed, there is a fence around the perimeter. We took a couple of photos from afar. The amphitheater is active, apparently for this reason there is no free access.
Alas, it is closed to visitors, everything is locked around.would they have done, for a minimum fee, at least an entrance.there's not much to look at, but at least the view of the city is not bad)
Alas
A completely renovated arena on the site of an old and almost completely destroyed one. In fact, this is already a new model. The arena is closed to the public.
An active amphitheater. I didn 't see anything particularly interesting when we got there , the musicians were preparing for the concert , but nevertheless the Guards let us through to watch .
I was vacationing at the Ideal Prime Beach hotel, decided to look at the amphitheater in Marmaris. From the hotel, somewhere a little more than 3 km away, the amphitheater itself is closed, the pandemic has left its mark. But it's still worth a look. Look like new)
If you have the time and desire, then take a look at this Amphitheater. It has been completely renovated and looks very civilized. You can take beautiful photos. When we arrived in the evening, it was closed, but who stops it...
It is closed, there is no work schedule, the locals themselves do not know when it works, apparently only when concerts are held. There's nothing to do there, unless you take pictures from behind the fence.
As already mentioned, the amphitheater is closed. But the locals said that you can safely climb over the fence. A modern place, solely for the sake of photos
To take pictures and no more, it would probably be good to get to some concert Next to the entrance on the right there are posters
There is also a cemetery on the right
