We took everything inclusive, the BREAKFAST was monotonous, but there was a lot of everything and for different tastes. The croissants were very tasty. The dinners were varied and also very tasty, elite cheeses, olives, chicken, meat, various side dishes, bombic desserts, wine and beer are not limited for lunch. The DINNER was varied, there were sushi, shrimp, lobster, mussels in any form, meat, dolma, and much more. We were absolutely delighted. There are 3 restaurants on the territory of the hotel, the 1st where breakfast, lunch and dinner are held, but you need to come to dinner at 21:40 to be in time. Since everything will be cleaned at 22, although it is written that it works until 22:30. The other restaurant is open until 21:30. And another Nelson is more of a bar, with children not allowed there. There is also a sauna, a hammam, but I also do not let children go there. A shuttle of regional delivery has been organized, apparently, a contract has been concluded. You can not sit there in the season, there are a lot of people who want to. In July, we drove normally, there were few people on the bus. Check with the driver the time of the return shipment.
The shuttle carries JBR to one beach. The second beach is Palm West, although it is listed in the delivery, but it is only for a walk (apparently paid).
On your own to the beach: either by taxi (about 50 dirhams one way or go to the metro (7 minutes), then by metro, then to the beach 15 minutes. In general, 45 minutes. Walking for about an hour, but it's bad with pedestrian zones. And it's unrealistic to walk in the heat.
That is, the hotel is not focused on a beach holiday, while Dubai has inconvenient transport logistics. It is necessary to live both at the beach and at the red line of the metro. JBR beach has free toilets and changing cabins (located in one place, built on the beach). A shower costs 5 dirhams (a few minutes). The beach is actively used by locals, and this is 90% of migrants from Asia, from the entire population of the Emirates.
We had a rest in July, the water in the bay at this time is hot, more than 40 grams, I swam in hot water for the first time, they don't swim in such water). You can swim either early in the morning until 10 am (the shuttle does not go at this time), or after 17 hours (the shuttle goes).
It is convenient that shuttles are carried from the hotel to 4 shopping complexes (Nakheel, Dubai Hills, Outlet, Emirates Mall). The Nakhill complex has a Palm View observation deck, liked it, bought tickets in the Klook app (you can pay for Tinkoff Union Pay), children are free. And at the same time, you can take a walk in the shopping center.
I liked Dubai Hills from the shopping center, it is very new, beautiful, there are all major brands, and a good supermarket of food, and exchangers. Everything is very beautiful, the shops are like pictures. There is a good Zara and HM. There are trampolines for children. Beautiful cafes. It's sparsely populated on weekdays.
The hotel had a good room cleaning. When cleaning, 4 bottles of water for two daily, tea, coffee, cream. There is a kettle, a refrigerator. Slippers, bathrobes.
About the smell that everyone writes about, it's from the air conditioning system. Windows do not open (this situation is mainly in Dubai). Alas, it will not work to ventilate. We're resigned.

We took full board meals. The breakfasts are very decent, there is porridge, couassans, pancakes, waffles, eggs, omelet, tea and coffee are included (there is a coffee machine). It is inconvenient that you have to wait for tea and coffee to be brought, to catch the staff.
Lunches and dinners are usual, there is meat, tilapia-type fish. The food is normal. Desserts are delicious. The fruits were watermelons, melons, papaya.

I note that they gave very tasty cheeses. It's the first time I've eaten such delicious cheese in a hotel.
Once on Sunday there was an insanely delicious lunch with red fish, crabs, shrimp, and a chocolate fountain.
The pool is small, in summer it is convenient that there is a shadow from the building, at least up to 12 hours you can swim in the shade, the heat is 43 gr. There were always enough sun loungers in the summer, I think there are not enough in the season.
We were saved by the fact that we often visited the shopping center or the hotel.
It's not far to the metro, 10 minutes, it's hot to go in the summer, we went by shuttle to the Emirates Mall, it's closer to the metro, and you can see in the shopping center - penguins behind glass. And then take a taxi from there to Medinat and Parusa.
Or by metro to Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall and Fountains. This route is the most convenient in the heat to the Emirates Mall. Metro silver card 25 dirhams (2-3 trips).
I liked safari very much from the tour (they pick it up from the hotel and bring it), it costs $ 18 / person, we drove along the dunes, super, watched the show. We also booked on Klook (I learned about it from reviews). They also took a half-day tour of Dubai, in general not bad, because in the heat we didn't want to run around the city on our own. And of course, it's not everywhere you can get by metro (a minimum of beaches near the metro and not all the attractions).
In general, the hotel is a solid 4, I liked the cleaning and the fact that there was a super-delicious lunch on Sundays (only on Sundays), it was comfortable to rest. There were few people in July, it was nice))), I think in the season the impressions can be spoiled by crowds of people. On the downside, I had more expectations about food. The restaurant worked only once, or rather, a good dining room), the Italian got only 1 time on the menu (pizza, steak, soup).
Yes, the supermarket is small, right across the street, there are delicious local juices.

We got to this hotel by accident, as the tour operator refused to cooperate with the hotel we chose a week before departure..In general, a good hotel, timely room cleaning, normal food, but:
If you arrive earlier than the scheduled check-in time (and this is 15:00), then they offer to pay extra and purchase an improved room, well, or sit and wait for your own.
1. There are practically no Russian-speaking employees, and it is also not always possible to explain yourself in English, some employees do not understand everything in it either.
2. in Ramadan, there is a problem with food in the main restaurant, they were allowed only from 20 to 21 (despite the fact that dinner is from 18:) a few minutes before 21 they even come up and remind you that you have to leave in a couple of minutes), because before that time strangers come to iftar who just they pay to eat there, and they are given preference over tourists living in a hotel. As an alternative, they offer free dinner in an Italian restaurant, but there is absolutely the same menu from day to day, in which you can choose only 2 dishes.
When you get to the main buffet restaurant from 20 to 21, most of the food may no longer be there, you are content with what is left. Breakfasts are monotonous from day to day.
3. Returning to the problem with communication with the staff, when going to the beach, they took 2 towels, refused the bag, but the employee forgot to delete the bag from the form, accordingly forgot to inform the employee who worked the second shift about it (when we brought back these towels) and a bag was demanded from us for a few more days, which of course we didn't take it.
4. Absolutely tasteless hookah :)
