In the 30s of the last century, the defense of Odessa from the sea was strengthened by two coastal batteries of 180 mm guns - the 411th and 412th. The batteries were well fortified and well camouflaged. In 1941, during the heroic defense of Odessa, the 411th battery showed itself perfectly, inflicted many fire strikes on the enemy, without losing a single piece of equipment and not a single person. During the retreat, the guns were blown up. Now there is a memorial on the site of the battery: the guns have been partially restored, trenches have been dug, a park has been laid out, which has an exhibition of military equipment, a small museum and a park for walking...
A great park and memorial. We are pleased with the new pedestrian and bicycle paths, pump room. Stalls with Chinese junk, which are pushed at exorbitant prices and a bunch of people who crowd around them, are not happy.
