I stayed at the hotel in February 2024. I prefer the northern territory of Pattaya. The sea is cleaner and there are fewer people. The hotel is in good condition. Comfortable, well-maintained rooms with the necessary set (gel, soap, shampoo, lotion, tea, coffee, water). There is an iron and ironing board, hairdryer, bathrobes). The breakfasts are quite diverse (Asian, European cuisine, meat, fish, vegetables, 2 types of soup, fruits, juices are not watery, coffee from a coffee machine, cheeses, bacon, cold cuts), etc. there are two pools: a children's pool with a territory and an adult on the 5th floor. The water is cool, as it is in the shade most of the time. But after the hot sun, that's what you need. To remove the room, you need to hang a sign. Towels are changed daily. If possible, take higher rooms, the view is beautiful, especially in the evening. The location of the hotel is just great. 300m down is the sea, 300m up is the market with various goodies that are prepared in front of you. The cuisine is international, you can't try everything. There is a market nearby with fruits and chic shakes, and smoothies. There is also a large shopping center BigS and Terminal 21, 7/11, massage parlors, cafes and restaurants, all nearby🔥🔥🔥🔥 I recommend the hotel.
We had a rest with family and friends of 11 people at the Mercure from 01/31/2025 to 02/10/2025, read reviews, basically everything coincided with expectations, the only thing was, everyone wrote about cold pools, we thought we would not be surprised by the water temperature, since we ourselves are from Primorsky Krai, and the water is always cold in the sea. Arriving on the first day, we went with the children to the lower pool with a slide, although it was sunny, the water felt like 19 degrees no more, it was impossible to get used to going in and getting used to it, even after you immerse yourself completely in the water, leaving the pool, you realize that you are cold. The children came out with blue lips after 10 minutes in the pool. In general, this is the main disadvantage of this hotel, it is unclear where they get this icy water from. The hotel has no territory, we decided to check the upper pool, the situation is the same there, the water is cold. The disadvantage is also the elevators, there are 2 of them, like 16 floors, we had the 15th floor, and when you go down to the 1st floor, you have to stop on each floor and pick up people, the same thing on the way back, the hotel is densely populated, and taking the elevator sometimes took 5-7 minutes. The lobby of the Mercure hotels is good, clean, modern, staff service is good, they will always help. The breakfasts were ordinary, not to say that there was little food, but there was no variety either. A large selection of drinks. We didn't leave breakfast hungry. We ordered food for the pool from the hotel restaurant, everything was delicious. I consider the main advantage of the Mercure to be its location, it is located not far from the sea, and next to the Terminal 21 shopping center, as well as nearby markets, massage rooms, bars. The room itself is more or less good, but we came across a broken sink drain, we didn't notice it for the first 2 days, then we realized that it was leaking. We took a room with a sea view. In general, I give 3 stars because of the pools and the elevator. If you can still put up with the elevator and get on your nerves. But the pool plays a major role in recreation, we could not get used to the water as from the ice hole, we had to go to the water park.
To begin with, the hotel is not one of the cheapest , so you expect an above-average attitude towards yourself . The room was not ready at the time of check-in, we waited about an hour for it to be prepared. They gave a coupon as an apology to the pool bar, where they could only take water, Coke and Pepsi for this coupon. Although the room has an included bar with the same drinks. We took a special room with a sea view, as a result, the view from the balcony was on the roof of the neighboring building, the view from the bedroom captured quite a bit of the sea. The staff is very unfriendly and not friendly, especially at the reception. Their displeased faces make it feel like I went into 7/11. I noticed only 2 nice people - this is the dude at the entrance who wears things and the woman (man?) who cleaned our room. The breakfasts are the same every day, half of the food is not quite suitable for a European person's breakfast. There are two pools. A big plus is a children's pool with slides, which is good for those with children. The pool on the upper floors is also quite good. The disadvantage of these pools is that the staff walks around and constantly watches what you are doing and periodically restricts you in some way, creating a feeling of some kind of tension and fear of doing something wrong. The reception is nice with sofas, free drinks, and an area for working on desktop computers. In general, the budget invested in staying at this hotel did not fully meet expectations.
