We stayed at the hotel for 3 days, the hotel is not bad, the rooms are clean, the mattresses are normal, the linen is good. The breakfasts are modest, but there is a base, and you will not leave hungry. The reception staff does not speak Russian, this should be borne in mind when choosing a hotel, only English and Turkish. It wasn't difficult for us, we speak English, Ali is a good person, gave us a map, told us where to go, told us a lot of interesting things, thanks to him. Now about the cons: the shower room is a little tired, but tolerable. The most unpleasant thing is that as soon as you take a step outside the hotel, a pile of garbage begins, with a corresponding stench. The alley is tiny and it hurts the eye, there is garbage everywhere. Horror. From the main street, with the famous cheesecakes, 1 min walk, but be prepared that the lifts and lists are everywhere and sooo cool) muscles pumped up in 3 days normally) in general, Istanbul is a city of contrasts, as they say in our classics)))) I'm sure I'll go the second time)
I put "4", because before checking in, you need to understand that this is Istanbul. It can be dirty on the streets here, I'll attach a video, but it's probably difficult for the boys-administrators who periodically smoke in front of the hotel to be obliged to allocate 5 minutes at least once a day for garbage collection in front of the hotel. The impression is unpleasant, but after a couple of days you get used to it.
We lived in a Deluxe room of 19 meters. The room is small, it will be difficult for a person above 1.80m in the toilet, everything is very compactly located.
Bed. With my height of 1.70m, my legs sometimes hung down, so it will most likely be difficult for people taller. The mattress and pillows are comfortable.
View from the window of the city and a little Golden Horn.
You can climb up to the roof and see the Galata Tower in all its glory.
The cleaning is good.
Breakfast. Boiled or scrambled eggs. Rolls, some sweets, biscuits, nuts, vegetables, greens. Flakes and balls. Cheeses, sausage. A very modest breakfast. But you won't stay hungry.
An iron is provided on request.
Overall, the location is convenient and relatively quiet compared to other hotels in Istanbul. (This is the third trip).
A very comfortable hotel!!!By location, by price, etc!!!If, of course, you are used to living in Kempinski, then you are not here, but if you leave after breakfast, by the way, quite a hearty one and come late, and you will not be able to come early in Istanbul, then the hotel is on fire!!!!!There are resticks nearby, which is very convenient, but only "GUNEY"!!!!
A very nice, clean, cozy hotel. It is located just around the corner from the Galata Tower. The room was cleaned every day, towels were also changed every day. There is everything you need: soap accessories (supplemented if necessary, water (replenished every day), kettle, tea, coffee. We were in late November-early December, the room is very warm (we opened the windows all the time) - the underfloor heating works in the bathroom and at the entrance to the room. We took the cheapest room and we were settled on the first floor, at first we were worried that people passing by would look into the windows, but in fact the windows turned out to be at the level of the second floor and looked out into a quiet courtyard. The breakfasts are standard. The view from the hotel restaurant is a separate joy. In the same restaurant, you can drink something delicious on a rainy evening, enjoying the beautiful panorama))) Special thanks for the gift)
Positive:
-convenient location relative to attractions/metro/pier
-there are many cafes around
-polite staff, help if necessary, solve problems
Cons:
- the room is smaller than in the photos (shot wide)
- the audibility between the rooms is great, the neighbors were having fun until 2 a.m., and we lived on the floor next to the dining room - already from 7 a.m. every day the rumble of doors and plates
- view from the window to the walls of neighboring houses
- breakfast is very meager and monotonous
- there is a very small closet in the room, the hair dryer overheats and turns off every 30 seconds, sometimes there is no hot water
- to the hotel / it is difficult to call a taxi from the hotel, narrow streets, traffic jams
The room in the photo looks bigger, the usual standard, the windows faced the trash can and at 6:30 it was taken out every day, which made it difficult to sleep. The breakfast is delicious and has a beautiful view. The location is very convenient
The location is good, but you can only get there by car (taxi) early in the morning. Also, when checking in, they don't give very good rooms at first...opposite the elevator, on the ground floor. Then they are resettled for an additional fee...
An excellent hotel in the heart of Istanbul's attractions. 2 minutes to the subway. The rooms are clean, there is a kitchen, a dishwasher and a washing machine, a stove, a microwave, a set of dishes for eating and cooking. Good housekeeping, shampoos, shower gel. I recommend.
We were in June 2024. Good, helpful staff, very convenient location!
I will say so, for the money paid, we got 150% pleasure.

Initially, we booked the Meroddi Bagdatliyan Hotel for 7 nights. Upon arrival, we were asked to give a good room, as we had originally booked the most standard category. We were immediately moved to a hotel of the same Merrodi La Porta chain, it stands on the next street. Breakfast was on a stunning terrace overlooking Istanbul, the breakfast itself is standard, nothing out of the ordinary, you can eat (omelette, sausages, fruits, salads, pastries, vegetables). The room is nice, excellent cleaning every day, daily change of towels and linen. It's just that the best location is behind the Galata Tower. I originally planned to take a hotel on Taksim Square and it's good that I chose the tower after all. The port is nearby, all the sights and all the transport points. Istanbul is beautiful.
Great hotel! Delicious breakfasts on the roof terrace, very clean, marble all around.
Excellent cotton bed linen!
Everyone slept well.
The staff is also helpful.
The location is convenient, next to the Galata tower.
In general, 10 out of 10. I definitely recommend it.
Very cozy hotel,
Friendly staff
We solved the issue with the number, I am very grateful
Delicious breakfast on the terrace
30 seconds and you 're in the thick of Galata 's events )
A stunning hotel in the center of Istanbul, a few meters from the Galata Tower. The staff helps with any issue, the rooms are very clean, all the furniture is new. We are thrilled!
The entrance is next to the dumpster, homeless people are lying on it, they came to look at the room - there are very dark spots under the wallpaper above the headboard, I assume that this is mold. They refused the hotel
