Convenient location (near Nemiga and Freedom Square), a cozy house, but little space inside, a narrow corridor near the wardrobe. There is a meter or two of space between the vertical showcases in which the exhibits are displayed(
I recommend that on the day of the visit, find out if there are any events that will be attended by "distinguished guests" and / or television (not necessarily in the exhibition hall, but in the whole room).
If distinguished guests are expected, this is the "Auditor" in our time. You will be thrown out like cockroaches in every possible way with sharp exclamations of "yes, how could you, you will wash everything here for us" (how could you touch the glass case) and so on. They follow you around a meter away from you, listen to all your conversations and insert their word. Constant remarks in a harsh tone. You can't take a small backpack to the gym, they will make you hand over everything in the wardrobe.
The cloakroom attendant, the cashier and the security guard are trying to help and advise. Ladies in the halls - horror and the Soviet Union. Presumably because of the fear of high-profile guests and the fear that such "small cockroaches" like us will spoil something in front of high-profile guests in evening dresses. On other days and times, for sure, and they don't bother anyone.
I will never go to them again, maybe in five years, if I find out that the staff has changed.
Everything they said could be said politely and kindly. And they poured from head to toe like buckets with their icy voices, interrupting each other, and starting right from taking the ticket at the entrance.
We held on and hoped that they would get distracted, shut up, move away, but no. They achieved their goal - all the attention to the distinguished guests, and we flew out of the gallery like a bullet, wanting to forget about visiting as soon as possible.
The workers at the NHM and the Palace of Arts are angels from Paradise compared to the gallery workers!
Excellent halls, visited in 2023 for the Night of Museums, I did not think that the building inside is so big, Savitsky is very talented, cool work, the location of the gallery is top, the exhibition about astronauts is curious, I liked the halls with furniture, and the demonstration of old murals on the walls, it is beautiful, there is something to see.Thank you for organizing the Night of Museums 3 museums one quest: Rakovskaya like 17, Inessa - You are beautiful and Tolya is also super near the guy with the guitar, especially thanks for the foil hat -it's super, the quest is interesting, Inessa and Anatoly should be rewarded)) also, a huge thank you for the opportunity to visit the balcony in the Town Hall and for the astronomer Cornelius, I had to remember the constellations, and the Savitsky Gallery you are cool, although there were shoals with questions for the quest in the cosmonautics hall, and so there was an opportunity to draw, so a cool android girl and a separate mercy for aliens, and a hall with a culture of karyaks class, who came up with this quest-You are cool!2 adults had a good rest with a bang
On December 28, students of the 3rd "B" class received a wonderful gift — tickets to the New Year's quest "Pranks of the old House"! We took a bus to the city of Minsk, entered the M.Savitsky Art Gallery and immediately found ourselves in another dimension. Believe me, it was VERY exciting! We were playing pranks in a very old house, which is 300 years old! Finding the key to the magic door, antiques, an artist's workshop, games, dancing, puzzles and much more, accompanied by charming characters, is a whole sea of positive impressions! The world of the museum can become alive and relevant if you come to such a quest! Thank you so much for your hard work!
I would like to mention the exhibition of Retro photographic equipment in the museum. There are many models and cameras in the hall, cameras of different years and models produced in different countries since 1905. There are about a hundred exhibits here...
you can see with your own eyes the history of the development of photography technology, film processing tools... It is interesting to look through an old stereoscope...
there are photos of both the beginning and the middle of the last century... You look at each window for a long time, you come back... Fascinating!
Many thanks to the collector, organizer and compiler of the exhibition.
There are always very interesting exhibitions. My friend and I liked the permanent exhibition, a lot of beautiful interiors and household items.
There is a very harsh guard at the entrance, but it feels like they came to his house personally, and not to the museum, and we are not welcome
Mikhail Savitsky is my second cousin, was born in the same village as Dad. But that's not the point. I am amazed by his fate and paintings. Especially the series about concentration camps and Chernobyl.
I visited two exhibitions of the museum: Tkachenko, Savitsky. Tkachenko's paintings are great, I really liked them. A young Milan guide led us through the halls of Savitsky. Special thanks to her! An excursion with fantasy, for the first time in the museum I met such a lively and interesting excursion! And despite his youth, the savvy of the guide is beyond doubt. It would also be great to make an excursion on Tkachenko.
I found out about the gallery not so long ago. As a result: 2 visits in less than a month, something new is constantly being organized. Special thanks for the exhibition "33 steps" (see photo).
Convenient location...and I ALWAYS call it the Pshezdetsky house) FORGIVE me, Pshezdetsky, but it sounds very nice
By the way, my last name has the same mimicry)))
Laughing together)))
I really liked this museum, gallery.. and new interesting exhibitions are constantly being organized..Even the museum staff liked it)) they are somehow so reverently scrupulous and interested in the place itself.. expositions.. creativity..stories..We were lucky there were few people on the day off..and we were eagerly told about the expositions.. I recommend
I was at the gallery on Sunday, purposefully. I wanted to get acquainted with the work of the Master. I spent my time with pleasure and profitably. It turned out that we also got to the personal exhibition of the artist Vladimir Tkachenko, who is still unknown to me. His landscapes were very impressive. The author's love for his native nature and his work is felt
I watched the exhibition "Amto (hello), Koryakia!". The exhibition is interesting, albeit small. The mood was absolutely ruined by an unfriendly guide who appeared from somewhere, who for some reason feverishly repeated what was clear from the description of the exhibits, added a little bit of nonsense about how "terribly Russian Cossacks deceived the simple-minded inhabitants of the far north." I regret that I did not immediately resolutely refuse such "highly qualified" services.
The gallery is like a gallery. It depends on which exhibition you get to. Savitsky's own works are gloomy and depressing, all in the same color scheme, they do not cause delight. therefore, I do not recommend the main exhibition. It's better to go to the guests.
I visited three halls at once, at exhibitions: Winter in the city; Fashion, music, youth and Entertaining photographic equipment 1900-1990. A very warm welcome, atmospheric, passed the quest and received a coupon to visit the "Carriage"

The exposition is very impressive. Each painting is like a separate life. In my opinion, Mikhail Savitsky was able to convey very vividly and easily all the events and epochs that he went through. And he survived everything.... It just doesn't fit in my head. Thanks to all the museum staff for preserving this heritage for all of us.

I was at the Taranda exhibition in October 2022. The museum has several halls with different exhibitions. Entrance is paid. You can only visit individual exhibitions that you are interested in. Spacious halls. Polite, non-intrusive staff. There is a wardrobe.
This is not the first time I have visited this gallery and I remain delighted. A wonderful artist and thought-provoking paintings, relevant then and today. + there are always interesting extras.exhibitions.
A low score for the fact that the museum's caretaker urged us to complete the inspection of the exhibition faster, despite the fact that the museum's opening hours still allowed us to walk. We arrived at the exhibition at about 18:00, the ticket office closes at 18:30, and the museum itself closes at 19:00. It was not possible to explore the halls properly, because an employee followed us and turned off the light in the previous hall, preventing us from returning. This behavior was motivated by the fact that it took a long time to close the building to the alarm system. I can only point out that in this case, indicate the real work of the museum. This did not allow us to study the exhibits properly, there was no pleasure. And this is especially insulting, considering that the exposition is quite interesting, albeit small.
Updated: in front of the Savitsky Gallery, we were offered to see an exhibition about the Belarusian way of life or something like that. It was not very interesting for us, because we took the ticket for another one, and there was little time. However, we decided to take a quick run. The caretaker asked if we would watch it ourselves, or if she would take a tour. We refused the tour and obviously this was the wrong answer, because then that lady was complaining, turning on the light in the next room.
In general, the sediment from the museum remained unpleasant.

A great place for art lovers!
Exhibitions of definitely famous artists and sculptors are periodically organized! Every year, at the end of May, quests are organized for the "night at the museum" Day, adjacent to other museums and galleries! Which is a very good way to get to know the city and its history.
It is cozy, bright, clean, you can sit on a banquette and contemplate the picture, I liked the black and white background of the walls, on which the exposition looks advantageous, friendly staff: a security guard, a cloakroom attendant, exhibition keepers. There was no guide, and the female caretaker was able to tell a little about the paintings as the author spoke about them.
We have been to a number of exhibitions, there are always interesting topics, the right atmosphere, you wander around the hall and the immersion effect works. We often go there.
Savitsky's exhibition is bad, without explanation, but with excellent works (6 halls, it seems). Entrance prices in Minsk are very expensive. The exhibitions are lousy. That is, you can either go to a recommended good exhibition, if there are any, or only to Savitsky.
