A very interesting place with a beautiful history... The castle itself is magnificent, mysterious, beautiful, as from a postcard. It has been restored since the 70s, at that time there were only walls... The town is beautiful, small, well maintained. Wonderful souvenirs for both children and adults can be purchased both in the castle and outside its walls (even more interesting and diverse)
Beautifully restored castle! I was glad that it was possible to climb the towers, walk through narrow passages and spiral staircases with huge steps. Exercise at the same time as cultural education.
I didn't like that there was a lot of modern inside (storefronts, stairs, railings), it was possible to beat the antique.
The territory is well maintained, everything is clean and beautiful.
There is a cafe, a restaurant, and a hotel on site. There is free parking across the street, but it is small. There are no seats available during the day.
There is a paid toilet on site.
A very interesting, beautiful, well-restored castle. Interesting excursions. Original dungeons and a wine cellar. A cafe and a hotel on the castle grounds. An interesting story of the pond, though sad. It is a must to visit!
One of the most beautiful castles in Belarus, the result of the restoration is very impressive. Of all the castles that we visited on the trip, I liked it the most. During the tour, we even got to a wedding, where representatives of the registry office were in ancient outfits from the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Lovers of climbing will like it, as there are many stairs and passages in the castle. And in the heat, it's very good to go down to the local dungeon, it's cool there
It is very beautiful, there is Parking, several cafes are located directly near the castle, of course there are a lot of people on holidays, but the food is delicious and inexpensive. There is a large park nearby, very clean with several attractions, a walk, a breath of air, and a very good place to reflect. The castle itself can also be visited inside, everything is very beautiful, a lot of interesting exhibits like everything.
An interesting, partly mysterious place, immerses in the atmosphere of antiquity. The guide will tell you in detail and with interest about the castle, the owners, and the traditions. There are many halls and exhibits in the museum itself. The children especially liked the narrow spiral staircases.
A perfectly restored old castle, an interesting tour inside (conducted by local experts even if you come with a team tour through a travel agency). Minus the score for the lack of navigation when visiting the castle gallery and tower on your own. Movement on the stairs is one-way for natural reasons, and since no one regulates it, congestion formed from those waiting to descend or ascend.
The most vivid impression of the trip to Belarus. A wonderful tour with the history of the castle, portraits of the owners. There are a lot of museum exhibits, an ideal place for an aesthete and an antique lover. The park with the lake is impressive, as is the church. I want to go back and take another walk.
An impressive castle, completely restored, many halls, there are halls where interiors are recreated, there are rooms where household items are simply displayed. You can climb the tower and go down to the basements. There are large parking lots nearby, many small cafes, a paid toilet, a free toilet in the castle itself, but there is a queue. There are guided tours.
Very interesting! The castle is well restored, there is lighting everywhere. The exposition is not bad, the life of the nobles of the Middle Ages is well represented.
There is a souvenir shop, the prices there are lower than those of the merchants on the street.
A wonderful atmospheric place. One of the most beautiful castles in Belarus. I definitely recommend you to visit. We took an individual tour, it's much more interesting than walking by ourselves. Be sure to take a ticket to the towers with passages, where you can climb real ancient passages.
It is a very beautiful and atmospheric place. A real castle, we wandered there for several hours, we really liked everything. Close descents and ascents in towers and dungeons, galleries, exhibitions, architecture, I really liked everything.
I recommend you to visit
This is a masterpiece, in the middle of small towns it is simply not realistic to meet such beauty. It's like entering an ancient world. Everything is very reliably and efficiently done. The building, interior, furniture, objects and dishes are all antique. It impresses with its splendor. I highly recommend it, it's very easy to get there, there are signs everywhere, there is plenty of parking space. There are also many places to eat. Tickets can be purchased through the website and at the ticket office. Excursions can only be booked in advance. There may be no places
It is a very beautiful place, the views are wonderful all around, the castle is reflected in the lake.
The interior has also been restored, there are few exhibits of their own, they are trying to restore and redeem the found objects that once belonged to the owners of the castle. A lot still depends on the guide, ours was very enthusiastic himself, but he couldn't get us carried away (there is too much haphazard information, the thread of the narrative is quickly lost).
But I advise you to visit the castle, it will also be interesting for children, you can climb through narrow passages, basements and towers.
An atmospheric place! A must-visit with a guided tour! There is a place to walk near the castle! By the way, there is a very good hotel inside with affordable prices, which cannot be said about the restaurant on the castle grounds.
A hyper-brutal castle that patiently "survived several epochs, many owners, was part of different countries, absorbed the culture of different peoples"...
Briefly about the main thing for Ladies in the prime of life:
"Shoes are comfortable and stable!
Preferably pants and shorts after all.
In dresses, it is as uncomfortable as possible to climb the tiers of towers or descend into the dungeon of a prison."
A great place to visit with the whole family. It's interesting to walk around the museum. It is very interesting to climb the stairs of the tower and basement. Walk around the balcony.
Both adults and children liked it.
I recommend it!!!
If the physical form allows, then you can't find a better lock. You can climb into each tower, climb the walls. It's cool, but of course not for everyone. Very beautiful views from the towers to the inner and outer territory. It was really interesting to climb somewhere and look at the castle from a new angle. The museum exposition and interior interiors are nothing special, on 3 out of 5. But I liked the castle as a whole more than Nesvizh. Because I prefer physical interactive to a museum exhibit;)
A magnificent place, mesmerizing with its beauty. Fans of the age of knights definitely need to come here! We planned to stop by for a couple of hours, but after passing through the arch of the gate and seeing this huge square paved with massive stones, thick ancient walls and towers towering above them, it was as if we were transported back in time. From the far corner of the square, ancient Celtic-like music could be heard, which intensified the already vivid emotions to goosebumps. The smiles of admiration did not leave our faces. We wandered there all day until we visited every corner of this fascinating place. Separately, I would like to say about the steep stairs with high steps located in the walls of the castle. Climbing them is both an adventure and at the same time a test of physical fitness. How did they do it with weapons and armor? This is the question that arises when you go up.
There are a huge number of exhibits in the castle, which, to our surprise, are allowed to be photographed (for free). A lot of knight's armor, swords and other weapons. But besides that, there is something to see. Namely: magnificent, majestic architecture, fascinating views, both inside and outside the castle, a park, a pond with ducks next to it. There is a tomb behind the castle, which is also worth a visit. There is a beautiful antique-style restaurant in the basement of the castle and appropriate music is playing. It was delicious! For prices: if not often, then you can 😊 Moderate! The area around is well maintained, and the views are just awesome! The car was parked across the street in a huge parking lot. I definitely advise everyone to visit! 😊👍
Your wonderful castle welcomed us as welcome guests. The hotel is in the castle! What could be more exciting for travel lovers! It's soulful, colorful. And in addition, a restaurant where you want to have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We will definitely come to you again. AND THANKS)
An ancient castle. I really liked it, it was an interesting tour, atmospheric, there are towers that you can enter, climb up a very steep spiral staircase to the roof, walk along the gallery, go down to the basement. I recommend
I liked everything. It is really a defensive fortification and a home for princes with all the attributes. It differs from the castle in Nesvizh (there is more of a palace or residence)It doesn't look like the castles of Europe - it's just a brick box with towers in the corners and a courtyard in the middle. However, like everyone else in Belarus.Everything is like everywhere else - souvenirs, knight's armor, various fossil pieces of iron. The exhibits are mainly from the 18th to 19th centuries, There is an exposition dedicated to the Jewish ghetto during the Great Patriotic War, you can take pictures in old clothes (for a fee).Entrance is free only to the territory - inside the towers is paid.Audio guide in Belarusian. In principle, it will be interesting for those who came to rest.
A wonderful place recreated almost anew an hour and a half from Minsk is Mir Castle (listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site). It is interesting to wander around the castle itself, admire the interiors. You can climb the observation towers - we have mastered only one, climbing a very narrow staircase with high steps in the heat is another adventure, and you still need to manage to miss the oncoming tourists. And most importantly, when you do climb up, you just get an empty room with small windows and a sense of self-satisfaction that you could. But it was worth it.
A beautiful castle. Perfectly restored. An interesting exposition inside the castle itself. Interactive events for guests are periodically held on site. Very interesting. I definitely recommend you to visit.👍
We were there in July 2024. Entrance is paid, but inexpensive, about 600 Russian (17 Belarusian) rubles, if you take everything. It can be cheaper to take it, but there the program will not include some of the places where you can go. TAKE EVERYTHING!
The tour takes place independently, in the towers themselves you can walk along narrow passages in the walls. You will see the weapons and get into the spirit of that time. Plus a lot of household items and parts of the exterior and interior decoration. Imagine yourself as a knight) or a beautiful lady who is guarded by a dragon)))
Fans of Game of Thrones will especially enjoy the courtyard and the passage between the towers.
A beautiful medieval castle, well-groomed territory where you can leisurely walk and enjoy the views. There are several exhibitions on the territory of the complex - a visit to the castle, the tower, the underground prison and the church. Being here, you get into the atmosphere of the time of knights and kings.
Mir Castle is a business card of Belarus. The structure is simply monumental! If you want to visit for the first time or have not been for a long time, then be sure to use the services of a guide, since you can join groups right on the spot. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes, because when inspecting the towers you will have to climb and descend stairs with very steep steps. Do not be lazy and take a walk to the village itself, there is also something to see. We definitely recommend it!
Be sure to come here, along the way of the main sightseeing destinations. It's free to walk inside. There is often a cool interactive program there - for 30 minutes. It's a bomb. Tough guys.
Set an hour + to eat for the entire visit.
There are two parking lots, you can find a place, but it's difficult.
A very beautiful late Medieval castle. An interesting exposition of the castle museum. There is a small park and a picturesque lake nearby. The views of the castle from the other side of the lake were especially impressive.
The coolest restored knight's castle. I liked the exhibition, which introduces the different historical and periods of the fortress and its owners. It's a good opportunity to immerse yourself in another era. The object is required to visit.
The castle and the area around it are well restored. There is even a hotel inside the castle. The interior itself is beautifully recreated. I didn't book the tour. The audio guide is good. Pleasant impressions from the visit.
We visited it on the way. I liked it very much at first glance. I would like to take a closer look. Very clean, well-maintained park area, beautiful. I recommend it for viewing. The restaurant on the territory of the castle is ordinary, I was not surprised by anything.
A beautiful castle. Clean, well-maintained park around. On weekends, there is a "traffic jam" and a queue to climb the towers, although there is objectively nothing to look at (in the towers), it is better to go to the hall right away. There are staged fights inside the castle. I recommend going for a walk on the weekend.
(There is actually no place to eat in the city on weekends, all cafes are closed for specials.service) there is a cafe near the castle, but there are always no places there.
ready to visit. Unlike the so-called castles in Kaliningrad, the Belarusian ones are not ruined and are kept in decent condition. This castle is very beautiful and has been competently restored while preserving the elements of authenticity. There are many historical exhibits, genealogical branches of the Radziwill tree. It's worth a visit. As part of the tour , I do not recommend taking a shared lunch .It is better to eat in the same Mirum on your own, a la carte or elsewhere.
The guide is a little emotional M.ch
. However, in the republic we mostly met such people.
A beautiful castle with an interesting and rich history. The interior is very impressive, no less than the view from the outside. There is something to see and be surprised at. The gift shop is rich in souvenirs, there is something to choose from. Don't forget to take a walk around the castle and take beautiful photos as a keepsake.
Quite an interesting location. Walking around the towers is a separate quest and strength training, because the steps are narrow and very high.
We were a little disappointed with the signs near the photo zones "Photo 2 rubles" (about 80 rubles Russian). Ie, to take a picture on your own phone near the carriage or throne, be kind enough to pay, for me, so this is too much.
But overall the impression is good. The last time I was there was about 10 years ago, since then a lot has changed for the better, the castle was restored, expositions were added
Hello, I liked everything, the castle was restored, everything was done so that people would come and watch. Description of all exhibits in Belarusian and English. Russian speakers mostly come to you, but there is not a single description in Russian. A separate story about the museum staff, I can say that I have not seen such rudeness since the Soviet era. I was a witness, I did not participate myself. A woman approached a museum employee and asked where she should go next, a seemingly banal question, you can usually answer or show with your hand which way to go. But the castle employee is not a fool, it is unlikely that you will feel the intonation of the voice with which you answered, but I will try to convey it. Don't you see this sign, it's all in front of your eyes. The woman replied, no, she did not see it. We need to look better, an ordinary museum employee replied. What happens in the mind is not clear. These are the people who don't even touch you, spoil the positive effect of visiting establishments. And I was in a good mood, and it remained good, but the impression was spoiled.
Yes. These are masterpieces. Which is located on Belarusian soil? This is a monument. Of how. People created. Which ones? The temples are like this. Locks. It is very interesting to see how people created in the past. My life is my life. What kind of equipment did they have for living, for protecting their castle? What were the huge halls, what kind of dishes? What are the basements where all the products were stored? Yes, it's the past. But she makes me. Discover. Who created this? And how? It's great, what is the legacy that has been left for us? Fully supported. UNESCO. Thanks to this. Today, many people come from different parts of the world to get acquainted with this castle. I have been living in Minsk for 15 years and did not know about this. Beautiful. Preserved in architecture many centuries ago. I think everyone should see Belarus. This castle
A very interesting place, a beautiful castle. There is a large exposition in the museum, I liked it in the basement and in the towers of the castle. Keep in mind that there are many steps to go through when visiting the museum and the fortress walls. There is a gift shop in the courtyard. There is a parking lot nearby, there are a lot of people in good weather.
A good place, the main thing is that the weather does not disappoint, if it is not cloudy and not cold, then everything is fine and beautiful outside. Inside, the situation in March is excellent, which happens in summer when the heat is not clear. Guided tours are interesting and not expensive. Magnets and other souvenirs are in a separate room inside the castle, they did not get into the restaurant in the basement, because there were no free places there, but there is a great cozy cafe across the street where there are many delicious dishes, including pancakes :))) You can pay for everything with the MIR card, so there will be no problems for guests from Russia. There are reconstructions of performances inside the courtyard during the day, although I'm not sure what on weekdays, but on weekends for sure.
This castle is definitely worth a visit. The tour is gorgeous. You need to be prepared for long walks through the halls and narrow stairs. We visited all the towers, watched the performance of the actors. The territory is large and beautiful. There is a souvenir shop on site, the prices are reasonable.
A very beautiful, well-maintained landmark. The wonderful courtyard of the fortress instantly takes you to another era. We were with young children, so the format of the group tour was not suitable. We wanted to take an audio guide, but it turned out that they are only given to large groups. As a result, we watched it ourselves. The exhibits are interesting, there was a description for each one. There were very narrow stairs in the towers with high steps and sometimes there were congestion due to the large number of people. There is a green park area around. A trip for the whole day, if you watch everything and in a calm mode.
I really liked the castle. There are many exhibits, extensive different collections. Climbing up narrow stairs is a whole adventure! An atmospheric place, an immersion in history and an era! Definitely welcome to visit!👍
A great museum. Competent guides. It's very beautiful inside. Interesting expositions. Well-preserved exhibits. It's beautiful in the courtyard of the castle. I strongly advise you to visit this museum.
The business card of Belarus . This is exactly why the castle is especially interesting; the centuries-old history. The exhibition is unusual with a visit to the prison basement and two towers . Steep stairs, narrow passages are very impressive; if there are few people, it is generally very atmospheric ; we spent the night nearby- therefore, walking in the evening under a full moon through the castle park and the territory nearby reading the history and legends of Mir castle is generally unforgettable. There is a hotel in the castle.
A very old Castle . I liked everything! There are souvenir shops on site at affordable prices. There are good Bars and cafes on site.We arrived on Sunday, so the guided tours did not work out, we took an audio guide!
The trip was spontaneous, we arrived at sunset, the place is very colorful, we stayed overnight in the castle in order to feel and enjoy the castle spirit… In the morning, breakfast in the dungeon of the castle to the music of those times, added pleasure and tuned in to the perception of historical information). We were lucky, there were very few people, we took a walk and listened to everything with great interest.
We have been planning to visit Mirsky for a long time and now we have reached it. The castle itself, the surrounding area and the interior decoration are impressive. We arrived in the evening when visiting time was over. But since we booked a hotel, we were able to enjoy the beauty and views of the castle by ourselves, without outsiders. The interior of the rooms in the hotel is matched to the style of the castle. In the morning we enjoyed a walk around the territory and around the pond. The very first ones went on excursions. There are few visitors in the morning. What disappointed me was the restaurant inside in the basement- the Prince's Yard. We were at about 19.00, when there was practically no one, the waiters showed with all their appearance that they were not welcome to guests from a neighboring state. The restaurant turned out to be very overpriced for such a place. The dishes are cooked strangely - the tongue with bechamel sauce is a rare nightmare, bechamel by the way (very tasteless) they add to every second dish, the steamed fish turned out to be over-dried while it was being cooked (it takes 30-40 minutes for the water to boil according to the waitress Alina🙄), they did not carry other hot dishes when they served everything together, the rest of the food was already cold. The service deserves special attention / the waitress Alina showed her disdain with all her appearance. A very unpleasant girl. In short, I do not recommend the restaurant to visit, I took off a star for it. Despite the fact that there is a very nice place across the street where you can eat delicious and much cheaper food.
A beautiful castle, a beautiful area where you can take a leisurely walk after a tour of the castle, sit on the benches and admire the pond. Take a look at the coffee and drink coffee. In the evening, the backlight is turned on, which creates a special atmosphere.
The castle will not leave anyone indifferent. It's hard to write something, this is the case when it's better to see it once! We were on a weekday, closer to closing, there were not many people, no one bothered anyone to inspect and take pictures. Of course, the castle as a whole makes the biggest impression, but there is also something to see inside. Just the expositions of the museum are enough not to get tired, namely, to look at everything with pleasure. Well, the stairs are certainly interesting, but many do not climb to the top. They are almost vertical, if there were no railings, I do not know how to climb them. A huge castle, a huge territory, a huge delight to visit! Yes, the castle can be approached from different sides, there are many entrances, and they are always open, it is very convenient. The area around the castle is well maintained, there are many flowers.
