The castle is beautiful, there are many excellent locations where you can walk, stare, sit and take photos and videos. Pleasure is everywhere to look at. Disappointment came unexpectedly when the entrance to the church was paid!!!! Well, let's say that a photo with swords, on a throne or with some other accessories on the territory of the castle is paid, but entering the church is already too much.
It was magical. The castle is small, we spent an hour exploring without a tour. There were few people, guides were working. It was convenient to get from Minsk. There is a private sector around and very few residents, despite the day off (or so it seemed after Moscow) . We found a cafe for a snack and returned back to the hotel.
I am very glad that I visited the World with my family and spent the night at the hotel located in the castle. After reading some reviews, I expected less. It's amazing that people write that there's nothing to see here and a place for once. It was not possible to get an impression of the restaurant in the castle, we came to drink coffee with dessert at 21.40, but we were told that the kitchen was no longer working, although the restaurant's opening hours were until 23.00. Otherwise, only positive emotions.
We came there in November, it was very uncomfortable to walk around the territory, strong and icy wind, so you need to go there either when it's warm or very well prepared.)
But you must definitely visit there at least once! It is very beautiful, words cannot convey it. There are restaurants there, not very cheap, but also not exorbitant prices, and there is a hotel and shops. Not far from the castle there are cheaper cafes and a regular shop and souvenirs. People are strict, but good.) You can pay with both a card and cash. We drove there from Minsk by car, a little over an hour, the road is good. Plan this trip for the whole day. You will definitely visit there!)
A wonderful historical place. A lot of interesting information. Magnificent nature. It is clear that everything is being taken care of and kept in perfect order, despite the crowds of tourists.
I advise you to definitely visit the castle and Belarus as a whole. I fell in love with this country.
It's interesting here, the actors play out a cool theater of battles, I highly recommend visiting the southwest tower, the fourth floor and sitting and listening to Sarah Lieberman's story about the years spent here in the ghetto for Jews..... visit this place....
Our impressions of the castle are simply on top. A huge building that you can walk around, it's beautiful. There are points where you can sit to eat, stand to eat and walk around to eat, everything is relatively inexpensive and delicious. I don't think it's worth saying that the exhibits are very interesting, it's understandable, but our guide told everything a thousand times more interesting and even managed to joke about it, a separate respect for this. Why 4 stars, a huge number of people, queues for food, in narrow corridors, to the toilet. Of course, such a landmark, but of course I would like to get to where you need to go a little faster.
It's a wonderful place. An interesting museum, a picturesque park and the surroundings of the pond. Towers with the steepest spiral staircases. A lot of great experiences and beautiful photos.
I've been there twice. I took my children and my mistress to watch)). Lock and lock, nothing supernatural. A historical place, like hundreds of others. Everything is well-maintained, beautiful, and sterile. Don't go there, don't go here. The prices in the souvenir shop are horse. And there is no program in the castle itself. The tour is boring. We could have created some kind of show, there would have been a tourist center.
Insanely beautiful castle
I was in Belarus 12 years ago for the first time, we did not reach the World
And the Ai has finally been here
!!!!
Emotions over the edge
At one time, Nesvizh was very impressed, I thought the World would be a "competitor", but no!!!
Mir Castle is now out of competition for me
Be sure to come and see it if you are in Belarus
A real medieval, unapproachable handsome man 💔
A wonderful historical place! Full immersion in history! I advise everyone to visit: both adults and children! It's very interesting and beautiful there! And what kind of photos do you get. Cool!!!
It's very beautiful, the Belarusian authorities are doing a great job! They maintain and take care of historical sites. Everything is beautiful and cultured. A must-visit . Take a walk and take a look.
A very interesting object for travelers. There is a good exposition inside, the interiors have been restored, information about the owners of the castle, history. Outside, you can watch performances of artists with a medieval performance and climb the tower and balconies
A very beautiful castle with an interesting history. There is a wonderful park with a lake and beautiful views around. I recommend taking a ticket and seeing the castle from the inside. There are a lot of interesting things and a very beautiful view from the towers. 👍🏻
It is a very interesting and atmospheric place, it is better to visit in comfortable shoes, because there are very steep and narrow stairs, my family and I liked it, we went around everything, lovers of the Middle Ages will like it.
"Gingerbread Castle", a good exposition from different eras, a lot of originals. The interior is beautiful, there are many locations to visit, a large selection of souvenirs. There is an audio guide
Great place, very interesting!
The museum is incomparable and very large, climb these old stairs and immerse yourself in the atmosphere.
A show in the center of the castle, a prison and towers, a lot of impressions!!
A wonderful historical monument, perfectly restored with a rich collection of artifacts. You can lose a day - and still not enough.
Very convenient shops and cafes.
A very pleasant place! Parking is across the street, there is a cafe-everything is great, but prices are higher than in the city. The castle itself is incredibly beautiful, a theatrical performance takes place inside the castle on the square. The artists are not professional, but from the heart!
A beautiful, big, castle. An incredible place, with a rich one.ancient history .An interesting place to explore and just walk around ( the main thing is that the weather would be good ) It is especially beautiful to walk here at sunset.Sunset and a castle on the background of sunset, well, beauty ( it 's a pity that I didn 't )There is a hotel and a museum.I advise you to visit this place .You won't regret it!))
A wonderful place, a wonderful view of the castle, the view from all sides is amazing. There are many cafes nearby, at affordable prices and with an amazing interior. The experience is at the highest level!
Now I can say with confidence that I have visited all the castles in Belarus that I know. Mirsky closes the list. I've already been to its walls once, but I didn't get inside, because there was a large-scale restoration. Now I managed to get in, walk around, and watch. I expected more from the exposition, which is located in the castle. In my opinion, she is the "poorest", but this does not at all beg for her virtues. Everyone will find something interesting for themselves. We were in August. The peak of the tourist season. There were a lot of people in the castle. But if it was not strongly felt in the halls, then during the ascent and descent in the towers there was fierce pandemonium, since there was only one passage both down and up. I'm afraid to imagine that if there was some kind of emergency situation, then everything could have the saddest consequences. The safety technique is lame in this. It was a shame to stand in a narrow passage on the stairs only to see nothing special. There's nothing to see in the tower. Around the castle there is a beautiful, well-groomed territory, a lake (pond), a tomb. There is a cafe on the territory of the castle, a good souvenir shop with Belarusian goodies. An Orthodox church and a church are within walking distance. The church is old, with a history. We looked in. I recommend. The mundane castle of prosperity. There is some grace in this place.
A wonderful historical place, especially after reconstruction. An interesting museum, there is a restaurant with a good selection of dishes and excellent service, a hotel. The only disadvantage is that the route is not well thought out when inspecting the towers: often oncoming streams of people intersect, and it is a whole problem to miss each other in fairly narrow openings.
And this castle is no less beautiful than Nesvizh Castle, which also belonged to the princes Radziwills.
In order to avoid confusion and "porridge in my head", I would recommend that you allocate one day to visit each castle.
It has already been possible to get on an excursion here, which is conducted by the guide of the castle (unlike Nesvizh Castle). At the end of each of her stories, our guide said affirmatively: "Well, there are no questions! Let's move on to the next room." She is very memorable for this.
The most important thing that both Mirsky and Nesvizh castles give is a great interest in the history of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, so closely intertwined with the history of Rus-Russia!
Very beautiful! We walked around the lake. The views of the castle are amazing! It is also interesting to enter the castle. Very high and narrow stairs to the towers are an excellent exercise!
The atmosphere of the old European castle is there, the views are beautiful. All observation decks, towers, and, of course, the museum itself, are paid. There were a lot of tourists. There is a private hotel inside.
It's a very beautiful castle. It is better to book the tour in advance on the castle's website, we arrived without pre-order and there were no free guides. You can take an audio guide. You need comfortable shoes and clothes to visit. It is better for girls not to wear skirts because they will have to walk up and down narrow, steep stairs a lot. Have a pleasant experience
A very beautiful castle, both from the outside and inside (having a rich history), competent guides.
Well-maintained territory in the park next to the castle, a wonderful pond
A very beautiful castle, original, with a rich history, with the opportunity to stay in the castle for the night. Interesting excursions. I recommend everyone to visit this castle! He's really very handsome!
A very beautiful castle, the atmosphere is gorgeous. Beautiful area around. I definitely recommend you to visit! The road to the castle is good. We got there quickly. Everything is super
The reality did not meet the expectation) I would say a restored castle for commercial purposes. There are few expositions, 3-4 halls can be viewed in the decoration and 4 rooms in the basement. The rest is used for commercial purposes, such as a shopping mall))) there is also an exhibition of wax figures of artists of the 20th century, which I do not associate with the castle at all, and wedding ceremonies (in the 2 hours that we were there, we saw 5 couples, they go by a conveyor, turmoil, guests, etc.), a hotel, a restaurant, a cafe, a shop, etc. a prefabricated 21st century hodgepodge in the walls the old castle...... well, so-so. I liked Nesvizh more.
All tourists are bussed here. I was out of season and it pleases me. Stairs with steps above the knee, narrow passages, low ceilings. The towers are empty, just climb up for the sake of the view and see the structure of the domes-roofs. The castle is big. The main exposition is made so that you are guided by one route when there are normal steps and an elevator, but you get there on the descent. Many copies, few originals. Read a lot and watch a little. There is also a torture hall, where there is nothing but a rack for photos and a tomb in the chapel, where there are embedded crypts in the basement. I would not pay for these two "expositions" at all. The exposition about the ghetto is also unclear. There is information at the bottom, the floor is full of steps. I read and retreated where, in fact, it is implied that a person will read. The higher up to the roof, the less information there is and the exposure stretches. And these are, again, the same steps! A waste of time and effort.
One of the most spectacular sites in the country. The castle has an excellent museum, a cafeteria, a souvenir shop and a restaurant. Definitely worth a visit!
We arrived in the evening, settled in the castle itself, and visited the complex in the morning. Disappointed. Everything is focused on European tourists, or something.... We were not welcome at the reception, we were not checked in for a very long time - the receptionist counted some money... We were on motorcycles, we drove all day in the heat, we were tired, we just wanted to check in. I had to wait... Although there were no other clients. The castle itself is a new model. Compared to other similar complexes, there is no sense of antiquity, contact with history.... Most of the exhibits are copies. Of course, it is beautiful, well-groomed territory, but there is a residue. In general, for the first such acquaintance with history, it is quite enough. I do not recommend wasting time for sophisticated tourists.
If you compare it with historical photographs, it's nice to see how well the castle has been restored. In the future, I would like to stay at a local hotel. Medieval music in the courtyard, lets your imagination run wild
Pleasant impressions! We were with school-age children, they are interested in climbing and descending the steep stairs of the towers as a quest. But if you have problems with your legs, you will most likely not be able to visit the towers, only the central part of it and the area around the castle. You can have lunch at the restaurant on the castle grounds. We really liked it!
A majestic old castle, in very good condition! The castle has been authentically restored. The excursions are very interesting and informative. Parking is not easy, although there are several around the castle.
The most amazing medieval castle in the world. Its construction began in the 16th century, it belonged, like Nesvizh Castle, to the Radziwill family. Despite the fact that the castle was originally built as a fortification, i.e. a fortress, it looks very bright and beautiful. The first owner of the Radziwill castle - the "Orphan" - for some reason did not stay in the built castle, but moved to Nesvizh. The county administration is located in Mirsky. As in any decent medieval castle, caches, basements with kitchen and bathroom cellars, high spiral staircases in the towers have been preserved here. There is a park around the castle, but it is more recent. We were in the World with a group tour from Minsk on the way to Nesvizh. I recommend dividing the visit to these two castles for 2 days to see everything calmly.
It's a great place. There is access to the dungeons and to the very top of the towers by narrow stone stairs, many expositions (XVI century and the Second World War period), a detailed audio guide. When traveling from Minsk, you first need to go to Mirsky, and then Nesvizh Castle. That's the only way.
Incredible emotions from the visit. Beautiful landscapes, the view of the castle, the courtyard - everything is saturated with history and you become a small part of it.
A separate quest to climb inside these steep narrow stairs 😅
It is definitely worth visiting there)
It's very beautiful, we rented a house next to the castle, the view is amazing, it's great that you can walk around it even when the excursions are over. There's a very nice cafe there. The prices were pleasantly surprised.
This is exactly how I imagined the ancient castles where knights in armor, dukes and their ladies lived. I am very glad that I visited this place. It looks very majestic. Everything is restored inside. Definitely worth a visit.
An excellent attraction, a large territory, many interesting exhibits, an interesting performance before the tour, three hours flew by without even blinking an eye, the only THING IS, we went with our pregnant wife, and it's hard to walk up narrow stairs, especially when there is a large flow of tourists.
Mir Castle is a historical wonder and architectural splendor that immerses you in a rich history and indescribable beauty. My visit to this amazing place was a real journey into the past, and I couldn't help but admire its majesty and significance.
The history of Mir Castle began in the XVI century, when it was built to protect the settlement of Mir from the raids of the Crimean Tatars. The castle passed from hand to hand of different owners, and each of them contributed to its development and decoration. However, despite the wars and destruction, the castle was restored and acquired its former luxury thanks to the efforts of Prince Mikhail Kazimir Radziwill. In different periods of history, the castle has experienced different fates, but its wealth and historical value have always remained unquestionable.
A visit to Mir Castle provides a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the history of Belarus and the Radziwill family, who played an important role in its development. Expositions inside the castle allow you to see historical artifacts, portraits, orders and other attributes of the time, as well as to understand the life and customs of that time.
The architectural details of the castle are particularly impressive. The building in the style of Belarusian Gothic, with the use of brickwork and ornamental ornaments, leaves you in awe. High towers with defensive devices, ceremonial halls, and a chapel-tomb create an incredibly beautiful architectural composition. There is a park complex next to the castle, which adds even more charm to this place.
A visit to Mir Castle is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in history, enjoy the beauty of art and architecture, as well as learn about important events and people associated with this place. This is a truly impressive journey that leaves unforgettable memories and inspires new discoveries.
The stunning castle is a must-visit in Belarus. Well restored, interesting exhibits. We were without a tour, you can read everything you are interested in and walk around without haste. The well-maintained territory is wonderful to walk in good weather.
A neat room with an old-fashioned twist. Compared to previous reviews, a number of shortcomings have been corrected. There are complaints about the kitchen, but overall the impression is good. You can get to your mansions both by elevator and by intertwining corridors and passages. On my next trip, I'll stop right there.
A great place to travel. The castle is well maintained. The territory is very interesting for both children and adults! You can climb everywhere. The atmosphere of the chivalric era has been preserved. I recommend it to everyone for viewing. We were in 2023. We really liked it.
An interesting place, I recommend it for history lovers. But if you want to visit all the towers, get ready to climb steep narrow stairs a lot. But after that, there is an appetite that can be satisfied in the castle restaurant, where it is decent enough, but not quite cheap, they feed)
It is very beautiful, interesting, atmospheric! We arrived at lunch - there were a lot of cars, we parked away, but this is not a problem. Be sure to taste delicious pancakes in the cafe opposite after visiting
