The location is the best. The train station and the old town are nearby, and it's mostly quiet outside the window. Friendly staff. Good breakfasts. Special thanks for the herring under the fur coat (it seems that only I ate it there)). We went to the hotel restaurant for dinner - an amazing full-size filet mignon, which modestly hides on the menu under the vague name steak. Among the disadvantages are small rooms (well, this is known in advance) and our room was noticeably smoky.
I really enjoyed my stay in Monte Cristo. A stylized hotel, cozy rooms. The location is convenient: everything is nearby. And the beautiful old Riga, and the railway station (you can get to Jurmala without any problems). The staff is polite and friendly. Wonderful breakfasts. The hotel is conveniently located in the center of Riga. On the one hand, the Old Town, most of the attractions are within a five-minute walk. Near the shopping center there is a Gallery, a lot of cafes. On the other side is the central market. The hotel is well equipped with everything you need. Comfortable beds, good bed linen and high-quality toiletries. Good plumbing.
An excellent restaurant provides excellent delicious breakfasts, quite varied and of high quality. Great coffee. Attentive, qualified staff serves the restaurant's visitors.
I would like to wish the owner of the hotel to pay attention to the professional development of administrators (youth). They clearly lack the qualifications and experience of communicating with clients.

The hotel is located in the old town near the main attractions, it is convenient to get to it. I really liked that it is made in a certain style, and the cleanliness of the entire hotel is maintained. A good choice for breakfast is not limited to one dish, there is porridge, dry breakfast, yogurt, several types of pancakes, toast, fried eggs, boiled eggs, sausages and several types of salads and snacks, drinks (buffet type). The only thing is that my room (on the second floor) in the toilet room has a small staircase on which you can slip, by the way, there is no such thing in the next room. I can say that the staff is polite and friendly. I will stay at the hotel again on my next trip
Not 4 stars. Pillows are lumpy, springs are felt in the mattress, there is no sound insulation, you can hear everything from the corridor and from the neighboring baths, as if over your ear. The floor creaks, the toilet seat is partially broken in the bathtub, the shower has burrs on the plastic. Only the restaurant and cleanliness saved me. And the payment by card did not work for 3 days, I had to withdraw cash with a commission
Wonderful hotel, location, staff, comfort. Stylized as a secret castle, cool. The rooms without windows have good ventilation and are very comfortable to sleep in)) It's not the first time I've stopped, I think it won't be the last.
The Old Town begins on one side of the hotel, on the other - bus / tram stops, the Central Market, car / railway stations. Guests are given a 10% discount on their own restaurant, which is located in three halls, including on the terrace. The hotel is in an old house. The staff speaks Russian. Breakfast is included, hearty (buffet of breakfast products). The economy class room is not very good: one attic window in a high ceiling, the bathroom interior is scoop and needs repair.
