A monument dedicated to the earthquake that destroyed the center of Tashkent in April 1966. The monument consists of two parts. The first is a black granite cube with a split. He represents the earth, in the depths of which the earthquake was located. The date of the tragedy is carved on one side of the cube, and the exact time is on the other. The second part of the monument is a bronze sculpture of a family: a man who stands in front of a woman with a child in his arms. The composition is surrounded by steles with bas-reliefs: they depict the work of Soviet builders who restored the city.

Remarkably truthfully and touchingly reflects the tragedy of the earthquake in Tashkent and the efforts of the entire USSR to eliminate its consequences. A monument to the whole epoch.
