It's a beautiful place. I have long wanted to go on an excursion to Side to see the temple of Apollo! The first stop is the ancient city. The fountain welcomes tourists - a walking tour begins with it. They are actively restoring it. The structure is impressive. Then, on foot, along the road with columns, you need to walk to the amphitheater, it is in very good condition, entrance to it is paid. Next is a small town with cozy houses with souvenirs and glass roads - under which you can see the remains of Greco-Roman roads and walls of buildings. Just a little more and you will be at the port, the only one that is still in operation. A plateau rises above the port - just the place with the ruins of the temple of Apollo - 5 columns with an overlap. The place is beautiful - a view of the endless sea! You can get beautiful photos! In general, when you come to Turkey, in addition to the sea, the sun, the famous hospitality and gastronomic abundance, you get Greece and Italy as a bonus (in the form of beautiful architectural monuments) - beauty!
A great historical place. Incredibly beautiful and atmospheric. There are a lot of tourists. It is necessary to visit here during the day and after sunset. The passage is only on foot or by taxi. There is a train, but it runs only to the terminal without stopping.
The Turks are actively restoring the Ancient Side. The fountain is at the entrance to the ancient city and it is being restored before our eyes! A wonderful place, it is better to visit on your own, having previously read the history of this city on the Internet, they drive you with a tour and do not convey historical information.
