A very beautiful and peaceful place, wonderfully restored buildings and small neat streets.
Life hack: if you want to buy churchkhela, make sure that there is no green on the counter, because this means that sellers buy it from dishonest suppliers using dyes)
I was here forty years ago, I saw the bare steppe and other ruins. Today it is an interesting tourist site, completely restored and landscaped, on the banks of the Kura River. I recommend it for a visit.
A completely unusual place! An ancient city and monastery with a centuries-old history! It is enough to walk along the cobbled streets to feel yourself in another era.
