Great cafe. The name reads like Sukhum in reverse, i.e. Sukhum through the looking glass. The idea is taken from an Abkhazian fairy tale. The interior is very cozy, the food is fresh and very tasty. A friendly atmosphere, as if you are in your cozy nest. Beautiful sideboards filled with statuettes from different times, an antique piano. There are old photographs on the walls. I recommend you to visit!!!
It's a very beautiful place. While waiting for an order, you can view a carefully assembled collection of antiques. The tables are made of old sewing machines. Located very close to the Botanical Garden and the monkey nursery, it is very convenient, there is enough parking space at the entrance if you are by car. The food is sooooo delicious, served beautifully, according to the setting. In summer, there are practically no empty tables, it is a very popular place. There is a veranda. There are fewer visitors in winter, and an incredibly beautiful Christmas tree with antique glass toys is put up for the new year. In general, be sure to go when you are in Sukhum.
An authentic family cafe. Very friendly staff. The kitchen is on the level. The dishes are mainly local and Caucasian cuisine. Khinkali is excellent. Khachapur boat is super. The interior is interesting and tastefully decorated. If you are in Sukhum, be sure to take a look. Moreover, there is a botanical garden nearby
I join all the laudatory reviews. It's just like that: very tasty, authentic, nimble, responsive staff. We had a rest in Sukhum for the first time, pre-prepared and found 2 more famous restaurants with excellent ratings. So these 2 restaurants disappointed (almost everything that was ordered was not tasty), but the Sauce was not. As delicious as expected. The only drawback is that there are few seats (but here it's a double-edged sword, perhaps if the restaurant accepts more people and the quality of the food drops), there are only 3 tables outside, not much more inside. People are standing on the street, waiting for a table to be available. And this is at the end of September. However, at 19.00 in the evening, maybe not in the afternoon? In general, we also stood, waited, did not wait and ordered with us, ate everything at the hotel, everything is very, very tasty. We waited for the dishes for 25 minutes. Thank you. If we come back, we'll have dinner only with you!
A restaurant with so many mood-creating details that you can only look around for the first half hour. Both the food and the interior and the staff, everything is at a very good level. We have been here since the opening, prices have changed a little (as everywhere else), but otherwise everything is just as fine. The only thing is that there are a lot more visitors, so there is a queue for tables in the summer season. But it is possible to order a takeaway.Khinkali 50-70 rubles per piece. Chebureks and khachapur are also worth a try. Local lemonades in glass, delicious and inexpensive. In winter, they put up a very beautiful Christmas tree with Soviet toys and it becomes even more cozy.
The most excellent restaurant 🫶 Divinely delicious 😋
The waiters were always eating here, just super, and the food is real Caucasian cuisine.
Khinkali was just booked in advance, because the place is very popular and there is a queue at rush hour.
Awesome atmospheric place. I thought I'd get upset without trying delicious food in Abkhazia, but no, thanks to Yandex))) There are a lot of people, an interesting atmosphere and musical accompaniment, unusual communication of the staff - as if you are a good friend. We tried European cuisine, it was very tasty. We are going to look at Khinkali on our next visit. And yes, someone wrote about a delicious mushroom cream soup. Thanks for the feedback, you'll lick the soup
We were in this place in November 24. I definitely advise everyone!!! Various dishes are cooked very tasty, kharcho, dumplings, hinkal (boiled/baked) and the prices are pleasant, and the atmosphere is cool, like in a museum, well done))! Having visited once, you will definitely come more than once anyway! Greetings from Rostov-on-Don 👋
The food is not delicious, but maybe I just don't like spicy food, I would still like to feel the taste of food, and not eat and spew fire! If I hadn't known that I ordered a cheburek, I would have thought it was a pie. The dumplings are overstuffed....
The waitress doesn't respond to words-she's always on the phone, it's good that another, younger one connected and helped us with the order, and we had to contact her for the bill, since the first one also ignored the request.
The interior is interesting, there is a summer porch. The toilet is in their kitchen🤦🏽♀️
For us, Muhus has already become an attraction that we always visit when vacationing in Sukhum.
Khinkali is unrealistically delicious, especially fried. Soups and salads are also a delight, the portions are good. The interior is very interesting, as if you are dining in a small museum. They cook quite quickly, the service is friendly and unobtrusive.
It is worth considering that the cafe is small, and there is always a full boarding during rush hours.
I advise you to come a little earlier. We came for lunch at 12, and for dinner at 18, there was always a place. And literally in 30-40 minutes both the hall and the veranda were packed.
The place is very pleasant, beautiful interior, pleasant music, delicious cuisine, friendly staff, a large selection of food and drinks. In general, the place is gorgeous
My favorite place in Sukhum, it's always very tasty! The service is excellent and fast) I read in the reviews that food is quickly brought only to large companies, no it's not like that) we always rest together with my husband and everything is always fine! Delicious teas, salads, khinkali and oh! Dumplings are simply delicious)
We have been vacationing in Sukhum for almost a week and we go here every day.
I recommend a mandatory visit. We have been to Sukhum several times and each time we went to Muhus. We have to wait a bit, as all the seats are usually occupied, but the wait is justified. The most delicious khinkali that I've ever tasted. Fried khinkali is generally a separate topic. The child was delighted with the dumplings. It's a beautiful, colorful place. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. Prosperity institution , keep it up .
A wonderful and amazing place with pleasant and sociable waitresses. A wonderful selection of dishes. Everything is fresh and delicious. I advise you to always visit this place.
Muhus is a wonderful atmospheric place. Beautiful decoration of the hall, delicious food. Wonderful friendly staff. Every time I come to Sukhum, I try to get to Muhus at least once. I recommend it to everyone.
Hello everybody!
Today, on 05/14/2024, we visited the Atmospheric institution "Muhus"
in Sukhum.
The interior is very beautiful, there are many statuettes, coinage, antique dishes.
Who goes to Sukhum - visit, you will not regret it.
We were at lunchtime, there weren't many people, the food was fresh and delicious.
We took fried khinkali with cheese and meat, fried Frying Pan at home. (a frying pan is a big word) a frying pan, a small portion, but tasty, The price for it is overpriced.
The Greek salad is so-so, ordinary. In general, the choice of salads is minimal.Khinkali is really awesome, especially with cheese and herbs.
The cafe is in demand among the local population, they take a lot to take away.
I recommend you to visit
RS: the toilet, you go past the kitchen to it, but there was water and light, despite the fact that it was raining heavily.
An inexpensive restaurant in Sukhum. There are always no empty tables, and in the evening there is a queue for boarding, so the minus is: you have to wait or leave. I recommend fried khinkali!!!! Very tasty giblets are cooked in a frying pan with vegetables in cream!!!
The place deserves ten stars at least for the fact that there is no smoking in the hall!!!
Interesting interior.
We ate three types of meat khinkali, Sukhumi dumplings, a frying pan with giblets and lavash, and a round khachapur.
Khinkali is OK, the sharpness is in moderation; the dumplings are not spicy themselves, but this is "Sukhumi-style" too much; the giblets taste the best of all the food; khachapur is not bad, there is a lot of filling, not too salty.
The wine was taken on the advice of the staff, the norms.
The service is very, very fast (the hall is full, the veranda is half empty).
I recommend it!
Delicious, atmospheric, even the service is present. We had a great evening.Warm salad fire🥰One of the few delicious and safe places for dinner, I recommend it!
It's a great place, very tasty, the prices are more than adequate!!! We took the last table, this place has a very high passability! And of course the large portions, khinkali are just huge!
The food is delicious, the portions are large, khinkali costs from 50 to 80 rubles (in Moscow, for example, from 70 and above). Lemonade 600₽ (motif 900₽ in Moscow time), kharcho 450₽ (against 600₽).The diesel generator is working in the lockdown
A good place, very cozy, atmospheric, lots of different dishes, very tasty food…
Of the cons: a cockroach ran near the kitchen on the way to the bathroom, probably this happens unfortunately in cafes and public catering, the keyword is "probably", the service is "lame". I cannot recommend this place due to these 2 facts.
Good day to all and bon appetit in the future!
We decided to walk with my wife through the "iconic" refectory places of Sukhum. Naturally, based on the reviews of experienced tourists. This cafe is the second of such places, and the second one from which we are not particularly enthusiastic. I'm not thrilled, like the majority of people who left reviews about her.
Now everything is in order:
— The cafe, advertised with its Khinkali, did not impress us at all. Veal khinkali, almost no different from pork-beef khinkali, did not have the expected meat flavor. But they had a certain number of veins in the minced meat. In each serving of 3 khinkali, at least one was already full of holes when serving, with the broth leaking into the plate when serving. And the broth in the survivors did not have a fragrant rich taste. The dough turned out to be successful in taste, but I will not praise it, since it tore easily, and the tail remained not at all neat.
— Fried khinkali with cheese turned out to be more successful, even by 5, but as usual, I would like to see greens in products of this type with local cheese, which would make them more fragrant.
— I liked the Sukhum-Shanghai dumplings more than khinkali, they even had a good meat taste and thin dough. However, we disappointed others: the mushrooms promised in the menu, which, as it seemed to us, should be in minced meat, lay in three slices in a plate ..., three cut plates of champignons, Karl!
Now you need to praise:
— The entourage interior attracts, as it should be in such colorful establishments;
— Cleanliness and order are present, which inspires confidence in this institution.
— Alcohol, as I think it should be: produced in Abkhazia, and at quite affordable prices.
— Clean cozy blankets are provided on the veranda for evening feasts.
— The staff is friendly and quite efficient. Serving dishes with an almost full load of the cafe is quite fast.
PS: One toilet is not enough when the cafe is fully loaded: I would just like to wash my hands before eating without much waiting in line for it. A free-standing hand basin would be enough for this purpose.
I didn't take photos, because I come to such places to eat and have a good time, and not post posts. And, most likely, if my impressions of the Muhus cafe had coincided with the general assessment of most visitors, I would not have written a review at all.
***However, the overall impression of the cafe is pleasant, and we will go and eat delicious khinkali in a proven restaurant in St. Petersburg...
I stay in Abkhazia three times a month, I want to say the only restaurant where price / quality exist in 100% balance.
The hall is small and cozy, pleasantly furnished.
The menu is not too varied, but all the dishes are prepared efficiently and quickly.
A good place) Delicious food, many different interior items from the relatively recent past. Cozy and nice. This is a very popular restaurant, so during rush hours all the tables can be occupied, but if you manage to get there, you will not regret it!
It's just an incredibly delicious and cozy place! Khinkali is just a bomb! It's always a tight fit, we've been there several times and each time we waited for about 15 minutes for a table, but it's worth it! A wonderful contingent of guests, no smoking, no drunks, no noisy. The place itself is very cozy, and the plus is that it works in winter, there are a lot of locals
A wonderful place!
On the first day in Sukhumi, I started looking for a place to eat and here it is perfect.
Beautiful interior, you can sit and enjoy the view.
Food is a delight. We took different food and everything was very tasty. Here you can eat on a regular basis and enjoy. It won't get boring.
The staff is polite, will tell you the choice, all with a smile and at an operational pace.
Thank you, you are in the heart
#mood
Well what. I also want to write nice words about this place. At first, it was confusing that the restaurant was small. But when I saw how many were in place and still waiting in line, I realized that there was something delicious here .
The place is really decent . The Shanghai dumplings with mushrooms and pork were incomparable. And I also took ayran . It's the most delicious thing I've ever tasted.
The place is super
Yes, we were sitting on the exhibits. These are converted vintage sewing machines.
Yes, we saw the exhibits around. All kinds of porcelain figurines, paintings, jugs.
Yes, we ate the exhibits!
The best khinkali, salads, rolls, chebureks, dumplings, khachapur.
And what a flatbread, it melts. Softer than any feather bed.
Yes, we're going to miss it all.
Apsny, the land of the soul.
Ooo is a very, very cool place. And what kind of Khinkali - you'll swallow your tongue. Cozy place, fast delivery, original design of the hall, friendly staff. We will definitely visit you again
I happened to be here in September. There was pandemonium inside, people were sitting on each other's heads. The sanitary room was shared by men and women. The open kitchen, where anyone could probably enter, was adjacent to the toilet.
I went to wash my hands, waiting in the hallway. A cockroach was crawling along the wall. There was a girl in front of the door (the same guest who was queuing for the toilet), the cleaner handed her a roll of toilet paper to hang it up. That's the picture.
The order didn't arrive for a long time, but fortunately I didn't get poisoned.
A great place with its own atmosphere. We've been here twice. For the first time, I even had to stand in line waiting for an empty table.
The kitchen is great, the service is beyond praise. For 5 people, for the first time, the check was 4.3 full to the brim. The second time, with wine, juices, tea and desserts, 6 thousand people came out for the same 5 people. The prices are quite affordable, and the portions are huge.
Thanks to the staff of the Campus. I want to come back to you.
There is a wish to expand, while maintaining the same atmosphere and quality level.
An atmospheric and beautiful place.
Delicious food (cheburek with cheese in the heart), reasonable prices (I'll attach a receipt), but ... cockroaches!
I counted 5 cockroaches ... One on the wall was pinned down by a waiter at our request, and I saw the second one on the refrigerator, informed the employee, she ignored it and simply did not press. The rest of the cockroaches were very high on the walls, we didn't even chase the waiter…
The presence of cockroaches really spoiled the impression (
We were here a few years ago, and then we came back the other day. It's a great place, it hasn't deteriorated at all. Classics from Soviet films are playing. Chebureks top, khinkali fried fairy tale. The hodgepodge is peculiar, of course, but an interesting experience. The owners are doing well to keep the brand.
One of my favorite places in Sukhum. Everything is very tasty and for reasonable money. Sometimes you have to wait for the landing and the food is ready, keep this in mind when planning lunch time.
They cook very well. The dishes are delicious and satisfying. The interior of the cafe is original and cozy. I want to return to it. For delicious food, pleasant surroundings and nice staff. We were going there to have lunch. There is a botanical garden on the opposite side of the street.
The most excellent cafe.
The waiters are just great, and the food is real Caucasian cuisine. Khinkali is just a bomb.
Everything is just great, you can lick your fingers.
I definitely recommend visiting, but you need to book in advance, because the place is very popular and there is a queue at rush hour.
Great place, very tasty!!!! The atmosphere is cozy, everyone is friendly. We have been visiting for several years. We can say that we go to Sukhum for the sake of khinkali in Muhus. Thank you very much, good luck to the restaurant and good health to the employees.
I really liked this cafe, we ordered boats and khinkali with lamb and veal, everything is very decent and delicious. The staff is polite and attentive to the wishes of the guests. Although we ordered food with us, as we did not have time in time, we liked the interior inside and on the summer veranda.
It's just super tasty, beautiful serving, everything is clean and atmospheric, comfortable as at home. It's not a pity to give money for such dishes. An interesting name is Muhus and we read on the contrary it will be Sukhum, a great idea. If I am back in Sukhum, I will definitely sing in Muhus🥰
I found out by accident, the taxi driver recommended me. The place is in demand among both vacationers and locals. There is a beautiful atmosphere inside, cozy, but sometimes it is very important. The prices were pleasantly surprised, lower than on the embankment. There is a payment by card. They cook quickly, the staff is friendly, the food is delicious.
Very tasty!Stylish interior, there is a summer veranda.
Since the place is popular, the pick-up time increases in proportion to the number of guests arriving.
Insanely tasty and colorful place! While you are waiting for an order, you can look at the details of the interior, there are a lot of interesting things here))
Accessible, incredibly appetizing, a wonderful place to try the local cuisine, I advise everyone
A great place to have a good time, delicious food, pleasant authentic atmosphere. There are antiquities, Soviet-era objects around. It's great, the food is also 5+! What is not superfluous is the availability of free WiFi 🩷
Oh, I will definitely come back to you! The best Khinkali in the world!!! Thank you for the atmosphere and for the great service!!! Special respect and respect to the staff! Everything is at the highest level!!! A must-visit!
One of the most atmospheric and delicious places in Sukhum. Khinkali in Sukhum ate a lot of places, here it is the most delicious. In principle , the whole menu is delicious, salads are large portions . Dumplings with cherries. Khachapuri is small, but also one of the best. Minus 1 star is the service. Of course, there are not enough tables at all in the evenings, they have to stand in line))) because there is no reservation, but the person himself is a slow girl, it seemed that by the evening they were not particularly efficient at all and did not crave new visitors. With proper seating and more active work of the staff, more people could visit the institution, but ... but one of the best and most delicious places in Sukhum!
Affordable menu, affordable prices, which I especially liked. We went with my 8-year-old son, he ate dumplings, the chicken soup was great, there were no stomach problems! My husband ordered khinkali, which is also great. I recommend visiting the restaurant.
Very tasty, good service and very affordable prices compared to Sochi. We are frequent visitors to this institution when we are vacationing in Abkhazia.
This is the most spiritual place in Sukhum.
Special thanks to the wonderful waitresses. There is always a full landing!
Among the wishes is to get hold of a high chair and add at least a couple of dishes for the kids for a couple or just some side dish ☺️
Otherwise, everything is fine! The atmosphere and interior are unique! The staff is always polite and friendly 🙏
We visited this cafe according to reviews. An interesting place. The interior of the monastery is like in a museum: statuettes, dishes, black and white photographs. We ordered a frying pan with giblets - I recommend it! Be sure to add lavash to them to dip. A portion of dumplings with cheese (well, so-so, they ate tastier) . And for a sample of 3 more boiled khinkali with cheese - I wouldn't take any more either. In principle, I would recommend this cafe!
