Visiting the Museum of local lore was for me an exciting immersion into the unique history and culture of the area. Located in the heart of the city, this museum is not only a treasure trove of rare and significant exhibits, but also an amazing playground for people of all ages. I would like to express my special gratitude to Nikita, a researcher, whose excellent oratory and great enthusiasm made my tour truly fascinating.
The museum's exposition consists of five themed halls. You can get acquainted with the life of an 18th-century villager, immerse yourself in the world of urban traditions and religious customs, learn about the incredible nature through two special halls, explore the events of local life during the Great Patriotic War and see how modernity brings its elements to the cultural heritage.
Each exhibit tells its own story, giving visitors the opportunity not only to gain new knowledge, but also to rethink what is already known. I got an educational experience and historical inspiration.

We were tired, we didn't go through all the halls - you can choose which ones will host the tour.

A wonderful museum for our small town. They even hold ceremonial weddings here. It is very interesting and memorable. A very cool girl director! She is so competent that it is very interesting to listen to her! I advise everyone to visit.

On December 26, we were at the exposition dedicated to the liberation of the Gorodok district from the Nazi invaders. Many thanks to the organizers of the exhibition, the director of the museum, special thanks to the researcher Leonova LM, for an individual approach to each of the visitors of our group, answers to our questions, help in finding long-defunct settlements in the area.
