A very interesting and informative museum. The tour takes place in one go. Take a local guide on the spot. Without this, it is not particularly clear what and how
This place can be safely called the local history museum of Gyumri and the Shirak region as a whole. More than a dozen thematic expositions-rooms were gathered in a large old mansion: about the architecture and history of the city, about the workshops of artisans, their traditions and tools, about the life of poor and rich families of Gyumri in the second half of the XIX century.
I especially liked the story of the male guide - bright, full of metaphors and jokes. Unfortunately, I didn't remember his name and I can't tell if he's the only guide or if there are others.
It's a little expensive for such a small museum. 1500 drams per person. There is no inspection for an hour, there is no audio tour, the signature is only in Armenian and English, and then there are no numbers where to look. In general, it is not enough. Two stars only for the assembled panorama of old Gyumri (it's beautiful)
It is very interesting, necessarily with an excursion, the excursion is moderately long, exactly so as not to get tired, but to get impressions and be surprised.
A nice, cozy museum of local lore, I love these. But there are too many dead heads in the Merkulov department.

As someone described, it is indeed a museum of local lore. Of the interesting things, I will note the very place where all this is located and, in general, the usefulness of the museum is that it shows that Gyumri is not only famous for street trade
It was a bit boring without the tour
An ordinary museum. By and large, it is not interesting to watch without an excursion. The exhibits are interesting, but without comments it is unclear what is what and why. It's a pity that there are no audio guides at least, the 21st century is in the yard....
