I liked the Stavanger Museum: convenient location, interesting and informative exhibitions, including interactive ones... The ticket price is 140 NOK for an adult tourist, tourists under 18 years old are free of charge. With this ticket, you can visit the Stavanger Maritime Museum, the Norwegian Conservation Museum, as well as get a 50% discount in a dozen more city museums...
