There are no questions about the memorial and the museum's exposition - there are many questions for the guides and the administration!I visited Khatyn for the first time last year - without an excursion. I was very touched by the transition from a burning barn to a white room! The strongest psychological moment!
This year we came and got on an excursion - it's some kind of trash - it turns out that Belarusian cities were bombed, not Soviet ones, a feat of the Belarusian people, etc., etc. - there was never a mention of who committed tin and murder, who liberated and at what price - it was only about Belarusian losses, grief, as if There was no Soviet Union! 😡
This is very wrong! The museum administration needs to think about it!
I do not recommend going on a guided tour!
Specific and incorrect presentation of information
A small but very atmospheric museum. 6 halls that immerse you in the moment, evoking emotions and indelible impressions. A modern interactive approach.
We were without a tour, but you can read a lot of information on the installed tablets.
The experience is amazing!!! Belarus cherishes the memory of the fallen and brutally tortured civilians! The memorial complex is amazing in its grandeur! I advise you to visit! Be surprised! Everything is free: the Memorial itself, parking, and even a decent toilet.
Unfortunately, the excursion to Khatyn disappointed me very much. I'll start with a good one. Huge Parking, toilets, cafes, attentive and cute girls in the administration, the museum is elegantly decorated, the huge territory of the complex makes an impression, but that's it. You will not find the phone number and opening hours of the museum on the Internet, the complex is open from 10 to 17, Monday is a day off - a friend who was there a week earlier sent me. The administration said that there are no available guides, but we can join the bus. Since there were many of us who wanted to join, we were given a guide. That's the end of the positive emotions!!! A young man, his name was Peter, conducted a tour of the museum without arousing any feelings other than indignation at the distortion of historical facts! After leaving the museum, I had to explain to the child that the land in Belarus was liberated from fascists by 1, 2.3 Belarusian Front and 1 Baltic Front with the help of Belarusian partisans, and not Belarusians themselves, heroically liberated their land from fascist invaders. On the street, on the territory of the complex, another surprise was waiting, Belarusians, it turns out, have won their independence!!!! I did not receive it due to the collapse of the USSR in 1991, but they won it!!! Well, he was finally finished off by saying that he CURSES those who only see the numbers stamped on the wall!!!! Very professional!!! It is a pity that so many non-professional guides work in such a place, it would be wonderful if Peter was explained that the name of the front was given in the direction, and not by the nationality of the fighters, and it would also be good to tighten up the modern history. I hope you have better luck with the guide.
The memorial makes a strong impression. The staff is very emotional and clearly conveys to the visitors the scale of the tragedy. The territory of the complex is extensive and a large number of tourists does not interfere with the inspection of the expositions. There is also a snack bar nearby, a toilet and a large parking lot for transport. The complex is located 40 km from Minsk.
It's a very touching complex in itself, but the museum is also very impressive.
It's not very big, and it takes 30 minutes to complete with an audio guide. If you do it yourself, it's even faster. But I highly recommend the audio guide, there's nothing to do there without it, and it only costs 7 rubles. I was very impressed and touched by the interesting exposition.
A place that every Belarusian should visit at least once. The museum is impressive. The guide spoke very soulfully about all the hardships and horrors of the war. A huge area. It is worth coming for 5-6 hours to visit all corners
Khatyn is a must-visit. The museum itself is small, and it didn't leave much impression. I do not recommend taking an excursion, guides with groups constantly go, you can eavesdrop, although there is little interesting there, it is better to search for information on the Internet yourself.
An interesting museum. The concept is built competently with immersion in the events of the Great Patriotic War. Complements the idea of the memorial complex
Very deep feelings arise when visiting the Khatyn Memorial. Sadness, despair and pain! But this is our story and it is necessary to know it! I recommend definitely visiting the memorial. The whole range of experiences is beyond words!
Thanks to the leadership of the state and the staff of the museum, the museum is an example of the memory of modern reverence for the ancestors who gave us life and memory of the Great Patriotic War. Very informative.
The museum is small, but very well made. The theme of the museum is heartwarming, touched by the letters left by people at the moment of leaving their homes. The museum staff is very friendly and nice.
I recently visited this museum, it struck me with its modernity and design. The museum's expositions are made at a high level, and the decoration of the halls is admirable.
I would especially like to note that the museum is similar to the museum near the temple of the Russian Armed Forces in Kubinka. Both museums are distinguished by a modern approach to the design of exhibitions and the use of the latest technologies. This makes visiting museums an unforgettable experience.
I recommend everyone to visit this museum. It leaves an unforgettable impression, especially at the end.
A magnificent museum! 6 rooms, with a guided tour, very interesting, touching, interactive with talking children ! We went with the whole family, we were very impressed.
The renovated museum. I went with my family. It is very informative and interesting, especially for the younger generation. The price is acceptable. It is better to have a guide. The time for everything is 2 hours maximum. There are clean toilets. There is a place to eat and buy souvenirs. I recommend.
A very iconic place! Especially when you know the whole story that happened here, it gives you goosebumps. There will be enough impressions for a long time, this ringing of bells is especially impressive.
Very impressive. Several halls. When you get into one of them, it's like you become one of the residents who were burned. And then you find yourself in a well-lit hall, personifying a field with wheat as a symbol of life.
There is a souvenir shop and a coffee machine at the entrance.
Very cool! Belarusians are great! When visiting Khatyn, be sure to take an excursion!!! You won't regret it! For children, this is generally a class in terms of patriotic education! And after the tour, walk around quietly and take pictures. A good and inexpensive souvenir shop.
If you haven't been here yet, then it's definitely worth a visit. The territory of the memorial is huge. I have long dreamed of visiting this place, paying tribute to the memory of my ancestors. It's heartbreaking, I will definitely bring my family here. I recommend it for a visit.
One of the most terrible pages in the history of the USSR. They tell about the atrocities of German punishers and police officers on the territory of modern Belarus. Apparently, in order not to inflame relations, the guide is silent about the fact that the composition of the 118 police battalion consisted of Ukrainians, Balts and Russians.
A must-visit! History must be honored, and this place shows the true story and the horrors of that war. The horrors of Nazism, the troubles of the people and the cruelty of the fascists. My 9-year-old son was even very touched and studied everything carefully.
I really liked this museum, such memorials are needed and it is necessary to protect and develop them.
We must not forget our history and what our compatriots had to endure during those harsh war years.
I was so impressed by this museum! Especially a room with white walls, a very vivid impression! A must-see for everyone! We must remember and not forget!
A museum to visit and bring the children. The story is known. But it must be remembered. I recommend taking a guided tour. But! A lot depends on him. I've been there twice in two years. The first time, I was very lucky to have a guide. Goosebumps. The second one was probably an intern. I know and tell it better myself. Nevertheless, I recommend taking a guided tour. Go first through the territory with the story, then to the museum inside.
A very Strong place! You need to feel it with your soul. When you imagine yourself and your loved ones in a burning barn, you still won't fully feel the whole atmosphere of those terrible days. Thanks to Belarus, the USSR and the museum administration for the memory.
We visited this iconic place. But the organization of the tour is very weak. The tour guide girl told practically nothing, only turned on interactive screens. A separate story about the tour on the street. There are no ads anywhere that this is an additional service and you still have to pay extra for it. It was very strange. The tour guide said goodbye to us and no ads, and then we saw her on the street and asked how so? Only then did she explain something to us.
We remember! And the next generations should remember what fascism is... nationalism! I thank Belarusians for such a memorial complex, for bringing your children here and educating them!
We were very lucky, Sofia gave us a tour of the museum, many thanks to her! The guide is from God, despite his youth. He passes through everything he talks about, has knowledge, and has great charisma. From the very first minutes, she touched my soul with her story, and I cried from beginning to end. A magnificent museum where everyone needs to visit. A heartbreaking memorial complex... Thank you for your work!
Everything is well done. It's just hard to hear about the atrocities of the Fascists and understand what our fathers and grandfathers went through. This must not happen again.
We were impressed. The moments of those terrible days are recreated. We learned a lot of new information for ourselves. We invite our friends to visit Belarus! ))) Thanks!
Oh, a place of tears! Now the complex has been transformed, landscaping works are constantly underway, it is clear that the complex is of a national scale! A small church was built. There are a lot of excursions, including foreign ones! A landmark place in Belarus.
The idea and the idea are just great,
The implementation is also not poorly done, but organizational issues kill the whole impression. It is necessary to work and work on working with visitors and readiness for reception.
I highly recommend the museum, so that you do not forget what war is and how much sorrow fell on the poor Belarusian people, always with an excursion or an audio guide, to the point of tears!
Great tour. The disadvantage is that the souvenir shop closes too early. The guide did not warn that after the tour there would be no way to buy souvenirs:(
It's not far to go from Minsk. It takes 25-30 minutes by car. The museum itself is somewhat off the highway, but the road is good.
There is order and cleanliness everywhere, I really liked it.
There are a lot of visitors, but it doesn't bother me somehow. We listened to the guide, then walked around the museum by ourselves.
An atmospheric place. Very strong impressions.
It is a very emotionally strong place, first I advise you to visit the museum, there are excellent guides who will tell you a lot about the history of Khatyn, the history of the monument "Unconquered", about concentration camps on the territory of Belarus ... what you see there makes your chest ache…
The memorial makes a strong impression. Eternal memory to the dead!!! A must-visit. It was on May 9th, people were coming in an endless stream, children were adults, they were carrying flowers
A gorgeous museum. I advise everyone to visit. Just walking through the museum without a guide is a waste of time. Our guide, Elizabeth, told us everything very interestingly. Everything in the museum is interactive. You plunge into those events, your skin crawls.
It's impressive. Beautiful, well-groomed territory, you can walk for free, only the museum is paid. We walked through the territory of the former village, we were early in the morning, there were no visitors except us, buses began to arrive at 10 o'clock. Thank you for leaving such places, what happened during the war years cannot be forgotten and forgiven.
From the first to the last minute, there is a lump in my throat...
an amazing place!! Everything seems simple, symbolic, but you look, read and understand the full scale of the tragedy, all the pain that permeates every piece of land, the age-old sorrow still in the air....Each stroke of the bells penetrates to the bones, as if from a terrible frost...It's impossible to forget! I highly recommend you to visit!
I was also impressed by the work of the staff of the complex, who put every centimeter in order almost manually, carefully and carefully!
My rating of 5 stars is clearly underestimated! It's a pity you can't put a higher one!
One of the best and most influential museums on the theme of WWII right now. The new museum space, opened in 2023, was pleasantly shocking - you can live the Khatyn tragedy in it on your own skin.
I advise you to visit.
A great museum! It can be seen that people who are experiencing this pain together with visitors were collecting and compiling a collection! The guides are real professionals with deep knowledge and are not indifferent!
A strong place.
Be sure to take a guide, otherwise it makes no sense to just walk around the territory. They tell me such things that no one can hold back their tears!
