I'm just thrilled. A huge cool museum complex. A must-visit. The museum is big, the statue is incredibly huge. The largest equestrian monument in the world. There is an observation deck on the mane. I didn't have time to study everything. We need to plan a trip for the whole day. There are also many interesting locations around.
I took a taxi from Ulaanbaatar. 53 km. A large selection of souvenirs!
I recommend you to visit! an interesting, European-style, beautiful, new, spacious and memorable museum! the only thing is that the entrance price for all foreigners is 30k tugriks (translated into rubles about 900), which is not the most pleasant. but if you take into account that being in Mongolia is a one-time action, then it's quite good.
the working hours are from 9 to 20, but! in the summer. in winter - from 9 to 17 and a day off on Monday and Tuesday, take into account! and the winter time lasts until the end of April, that's for sure.
there is trouble with a foreign language in the museum, even English. there are almost no inscriptions in English, it is difficult to make out what is what. but for me personally, the general surroundings and minimal signatures of the exhibits were quite enough, since the history of Mongolia in the Middle Ages is not my favorite topic..
enjoy watching!
Several floors of the exposition of different eras, well designed, the museum is new, in general it is interesting. Of the minuses - part of the replica exhibits, the price tag for the entrance is horse (30k), you can not shoot on camera, things are left in a box with shared access, which is closed by the guard himself, while in theory anyone can open it later, since you are not given numbers.
