A small but very interesting museum. An interesting tour. We spent the whole day visiting the museums of Khiva, and wandered into this one. It was the best visit of the whole day! Yes, it is not included in the single ticket, but it is not expensive either! But how interesting! I rested my soul! The visit includes a tea party, a carpet weaving workshop and silk scarf making. For a fee, you can make a silk scarf of your own individual colors. I advise everyone! The child is 9 years old and I liked it!

Walking around the Old Town all day, we wandered into the silk museum. I really liked the tour, which starts with a tea party with sweets. It is immediately clear that people are doing what they love, there are many interesting facts and exhibits. And the silk scarf dyeing master class is an unforgettable pleasure! The museum is not included in the single ticket. But the cost of the visit is not too high - 30,000 per person. They don't accept cards, dollars are the same, only soums, which are not so easy to change in Khiva. There is a good cat on the territory, the only one that we met in Khiva. The problem is that this is a store disguised as a museum. That is, the excursion program itself takes 10 minutes, but with interruptions, buy the presented goods - it stretches for 30.

It was an incredible experience weaving silk Carpets and fabrics in the masterclass. It is due to this museum that I will always remember Khiva. The owners and employees of the museum are very friendly, they treated us to tea, cherries and told us about the history of the creation of a silk workshop in Khiva. And the most interesting thing is that the family that owns this museum was the only one who was given the right to make silk products by the ruler of Khiva himself 100 years ago and still. This is a unique experience and I recommend everyone to go to this place😊 in the photo, the handkerchief that I painted myself at the master class at the museum

It wasn't the first time I got to the museum - so it got lost in an alley of the old town. And thanks to him, some of the most vivid memories of Khiva remained. Under the shadow of an ancient ivan and mulberry tree, they gave tea, gave them a chance to tie patterns on a silk carpet and dye a scarf for themselves, along the way telling the story of silk, the technology of its manufacture, how money was printed on silk, why and why silk is worn by women, and men should do it with caution. One of the descendants of the silkworm dynasty introduced the museum. It is very interesting how the history of sericulture intertwines with the history of his family.
