It is quite an unusual museum, especially considering that it is a private collection. You can take pictures with the exhibits in your hands, on your head.
I liked it very much, but so far the scale is small. I hope the owner will turn around)) interesting exhibits. The sound guide, the receptionist, the seller, the friendly woman, told and showed everything, allowed to touch and try on some of the exhibits
The museum has only exhibits made by modern craftsmen. It is probably more interesting for children than for adults. Because you can take a picture with a sword, shield and some other things
It's a very interesting place. It is clear that the owners are deeply worried about our history. Everything is decorated very interestingly. You can try on some things. It's a very nice place. In the historic building of the old town.
A charming small private museum, which contains exhibits of medieval armor and vestments. Everything can be touched with your hands, some things can be put on or picked up. This is how a private museum differs from the usual public ones, which captivates the visitor. I think if you are in Polotsk for tourist purposes, then you will certainly have a road through this wonderful place.
We visited this museum in early November. During the movement through the museum, an audio track was played, telling not about specific exhibits, but about the history of medieval chivalry in Belarus, in particular in the Polotsk territories. I recommend you to visit! It is very interesting, although the exposition is not large at all.
A small but interesting museum with a very rare theme for Belarus. Unfortunately, there is only one guide in it and the schedule is scheduled like the president's. Therefore, as two poor students, we were out of place there, I couldn't even buy a magnet, because all the staff was busy with the school group. It's fantastic.
A great museum, they love Smolyan very much! The museum guide is very active and interesting. There is an opportunity to try on the props)))
Very good attitude towards children.
I recommend it to everyone! It's a very interesting place. I was particularly impressed by the collection of armor, as well as the tour itself. Special thanks to the owner of the museum! And for the tour, and for the attention and for the enthusiasm and good mood! Plus, I gave my daughter a bunch of interesting things to try on.
The museum is good, there are few exhibits,
but the atmosphere has been created and there is an audio guide.
A separate bun, as already mentioned in other reviews, is the opportunity to take photos with swords, shields and other things.
Required to visit! ❤
The atmosphere is very pleasant. It was interesting, the audio guide worked. Thanks to the guide, we were even allowed to take pictures in costumes. Dear woman, she explained everything to us, showed us everything.
We were satisfied with this museum!!!!!!!
The museum is small, but there are a lot of beautiful armor there. It's so atmospheric, but it makes sense to take a guide to tell interesting stories. We came across a chubby, handsome man who told us a lot about Prince Andrew, previously unknown to us, but a great commander. He knows a lot. He said he was the director of a construction company and the museum was his hobby... This wonderful man let us take pictures of the children in armor and even us, we could touch the exhibits, and after the children (they shot arrows for an additional fee) - this is a memorable event. And especially the fact that one child got right next to the bottle twice, once into the bottle, but the arrow ricocheted down, and he did not give out the promised prize ((( he says it was necessary to punch the bottle))) I'll have to go there again for the prize archery)) For dishonesty, we remove the star. But we definitely recommend visiting the museum))👌
Thanks for the tour!
Excellent private museum, interesting excursions for children and adults. A fascinating story about the history of Polotsk and Belarus in connection with chivalry and the Middle Ages. Expositions can be touched, photography is allowed, including with swords, shields, helmets from armor. Great place!
A small private museum, with a collection of knightly equipment, a torture room. The story of the knights is told through the speakers. The exposition is small, but it's worth visiting.
If you are in Polotsk, be sure to visit this museum. The entrance cost was inexpensive, 4 rubles for an adult ticket. The museum has various sets of armor and a variety of medieval weapons. You can take pictures with some items. We came across a very interesting female guide who told us various information about the objects. You can also buy various inexpensive souvenirs at the exit of the museum.
Three small rooms. Reproductions of weapons and other antiques feel like they make up 60-70% of the available exhibits. The time is literally 15-20 minutes.
I've read reviews that the museum is just wow. In fact, mediocrity, but also the price is 5p.
The positive mood remained after visiting the museum. The creator of the museum is a man who is passionate about his work, very competent.

The museum is not bad, but small, we came in a group - it was crowded. There was an interactive: archery. The girl helped, explained how to shoot, and the man brought a weaker bow (as he said). And I couldn't explain how to shoot normally, and in the end I couldn't, I wanted him to help, in the end he took the bow away and handed it to the next one. I never fired.
We really liked it. The child was dressed in armor and given the opportunity to touch history ..... A cool museum. We didn't regret in the least that we had come such a long way and visited the museum...👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I liked the museum. He's an hour old. A large number of exhibits. The owner of the museum is an enthusiastic person and can give a whole lecture on each exhibit. Obeys in one breath. I highly recommend it for a visit.
Good evening, we were with two children (6 and 5 years old), they liked it so much that they could not persuade them to go home :). The guide allowed me to take a helmet and a sword, walk around the halls in them, pretending to be knights. You can take pictures and touch the exhibits, the background is a story about history. The atmosphere is friendly.
An excellent museum, we visited today and were completely delighted. Wonderful exhibits, an interesting story and an unforgettable experience. I recommend you to visit.
A gorgeous museum, albeit a small one. There are exhibits of armor and armor from the Middle Ages, some of which you can take pictures with and hold in your hands. I visited the museum for the first time in 2005, and came back 17 years later. It was an unforgettable experience. I recommend that everyone, when visiting Polotsk, definitely go to it.
It's hard to estimate, because there was a group inside when we arrived and we were told that there wasn't much room. The room is probably cramped, but the armor and stuff are present.
It's a pity I didn't get a good look.
A very cozy museum. Despite the small exposition, there is something to see. Excellent service, even without a tour, they told me a lot, showed me, and gave me memorable photos with some of the exhibits
