It is located on one of the central streets of the city. There is an interesting composition of forged lanterns on this street, which you can enjoy walking along Gogol Street. And of course this is a very beautiful place for tourists, walking you can get acquainted with a lot of sculptural compositions, both literary and advertising. I recommend it for a visit
The monument to Gogol, the creator and man of difficult fate, is extremely positive and inspiring, created by sculptor A. E. Shmakov, Erected at the intersection of Lenin and Gogol Streets in 1962, on the 110th anniversary of the writer's death.
Lenin visited Brest, but not at this intersection, and Gogol passed through these places on his way to Warsaw.
I am sincerely grateful to the sculptor for such an inspiring performance of the bust of a classic of Russian and world literature.
