The museum is full of famous artists, there is a collection of exhibits returned after the 2nd World War. Very interesting exhibitions dedicated to the Belarusian identity are held periodically.
before visiting the museum, it is necessary to read its history - how the collection was assembled, what happened to the museum during the war... The museum workers who invested in the National Art Museum are real heroes!
A wonderful place! Huge spaces, polite, knowledgeable staff. My daughter (16 years old) hung out there for more than 3 hours. It is good to have sofas and armchairs for those who are tired of walking.
A very interesting exposition. Famous and rare works of recognized masters. The tour must be booked two months in advance. There are audio guides, but they are not always charged and not many exhibits are available to listen to information.
In order to get to the museum, I asked the phone to plot a route to the entrance... and the soulless apparatus led me to the doors, which have been closed to visitors for a couple of years... repair))
The administrator pointed out the right way and under the wave of impressions from the exhibition, I forgot a little morning misunderstanding))) And I recommend all new visitors to look at the museum's website, there is all the necessary information there)))
As you have already understood, the museum employs very responsive and kind people, attentive and unobtrusive. Things are accepted in the cloakroom, tickets are sold at the ticket office (on Monday with a 50% discount), and the controller kindly explains the route around the museum. Everything is quite simple if you understand that the expositions are located in two buildings connected by a passage and it is easier to see the exhibition first in one, and then go to the other.
It was with great pleasure that I watched the exhibition of folk costumes, women's and men's. In the 50s, scientists went to the villages to collect folklore, including one artist who painted costumes of rural residents. How beautiful it is, how many colors, inventions! The exhibition presents drawings and costumes that are placed on mannequins. You can also meditate in front of the screen and spy on the secret of how to tie a scarf on your head or wrap yourself with an embroidered sash.
The floor below is an exhibition of miniature sculpture: porcelain figurines of Soviet times are under glass. Fantastic memories from childhood)))
In the neighboring building, exhibitions of paintings are arranged on the following topics: the history of Belarus, the Soviet period, paintings by Russian artists, the creativity of the peoples of Southeast Asia.
It was interesting for me to see the exposition on the history of Belarus: Catholic clerics' robes, beautifully embroidered dresses; sculptures and paintings.
When I entered the hall of Russian painting, I almost burst into tears: a lot of paintings familiar from childhood, a lot of favorite faces, scenes, views ...
In general, the art museum is full of surprises)))
Thank you all so much for your hard work! Health to you! New curious visitors)))
Downstairs at the checkout there is a great bookstore + cafe, in the cafe there are author's dishes in the form of huge leaves, in the bookstore the choice is stingy, but there are good books for children about Chaim Soutine and Marc Chagall.
A place that I think everyone needs to visit. I do not get tired of telling my friends and acquaintances about this, and I am amazed that none of my numerous circle of friends and colleagues have visited the museum for many years of their life in Belarus. My family and I visited three times and each time with great pleasure.
I really liked it, a lot of paintings, sculptures and other things. There is one disadvantage and that is the entrance. It is very easy to fall at the entrance in winter. 2 times I almost fell coming out and coming in. Do something.
To visit exclusively after castles in the World and in Nesvizh with a guide. Then the gallery opens up a lot more. The modern exposition did not suit me.
Half of the museum has paintings from 2023 and unknown artists. We expected more. Icons are good

The museum is frozen in time. Around the 80s . There are three buildings here. Old, new and Special exhibition hall
It's very stuffy in the old building. Bad light (lamps on the ceiling in the center of the hall)
The new one is fresh and good, and the light is better
According to the paintings... Here are the classics of Russian art of the 19th century (they loved it in the USSR), a little icons (spirituality), a little Oriental (exotic), a little modern toothless art from the same 80s ...
In principle, there is something to look at, but it's boring here..
An unexpectedly interesting exposition. The main exhibition is a must-visit (you will surely like it and there will be something to think about).
Contemporary art is optional.
I haven't been to the theater for a long time, but this one struck me with the fact that the production of "the Count of Monte Cristo" was in an orange turnip and some kind of musical genre, I was overwhelmed with emotions until the evening, when I was tired after work, the scenes and scenery took all the load and had a lot of fun

I always visit art galleries in the host cities, although I do not consider myself an expert in fine art.
The gallery building cannot be passed by without paying attention to it-it is really beautiful. The cost of the visit was 7 rubles, which is quite a reasonable price.

A magnificent museum with an extensive collection, has discovered some new painters, I recommend you to visit all art lovers!
A wonderful museum. On the original of the "Unequal Marriage", you can consider details that you will not see on reproductions. The gallery has an exhibition of theses for 40 years. It's interesting to see how the trends have changed. Modern Belarusian art is also interesting
Worthily, come early, there is a lot to see, who likes to watch carefully - you need more than 3 hours for sure. I'll be back, because I didn't manage to get around the main and exhibition in 2.5 hours.
It's a strong 4, just because I have something to compare it with! A good exposition pleases the public, for sure there will be a connoisseur with whom you can discuss this or that exhibit.
A small exposition. It's beautiful, yes, but you can't take pictures with a camera for free (
They took pictures on the phone. In general, it is beautiful, but not enough
A good place to walk and get aesthetic pleasure.
There is a wardrobe, a toilet, separate lockers for bags, you don't have to worry about safety, payment by card is present.
Go and enjoy)
I recommend everyone to go. It is a very beautiful museum. There are paintings and statues, porcelain dishes. It is a pity that there were no guides, it turns out they need to be ordered in advance.
