A must-visit place if you are a tourist. The unusual architecture is impressive. There are interesting guided tours in the library itself, I recommend it. There is also an observation deck (separate entrance, not through the library). That's definitely worth a visit. Despite the fact that the playground is only on the 22nd floor (not that high, right?), it offers an almost panoramic view of the entire city. The entrance ticket costs very little — 10 rubles (for December 2024). In addition to the observation deck, you can visit an art exhibition and a small cafe where you can enjoy a cup of coffee with a view of Minsk.
We often rent auditoriums for various events. Convenient location, affordable price, and everything in the main architectural wonder of the country.
But of course, security is probably the only point that is very annoying. She was clearly recruited from military institutions, where entry is strictly prohibited. Of course, the management should tell them that people can and should be allowed into the library.
On 08.12.24, there was a conflict with the head of security, a short round uncle with a red face clung to literally every visitor. He accosted us because of the tripods, claiming that this was a professional shooting technique. Moreover, we did not have cameras, we shoot our events on the phone so that everyone would be in the frame. The evil uncle guard said that you can shoot on the phone, but tripods are not allowed)). He comes up with rules on the go)).
We went to the information center, where a nice girl explained to us what can be filmed and what can not be (books). In general, in our case, according to her, access is open to us, and she personally went to the checkpoint to notify the head of security about this. But my uncle did not give up. Principles!! For some reason, expressively, as at the blackboard, he told us that he had been working in security for 14 years and that just anyone would not pass him. And we, the very "random" residents of the Republic of Belarus, taxpayers, for whose taxes that same evil uncle receives a po. Oh well..
A little later, a policeman came out to us, and lo and behold!, he began to ask the head of the guard why he would not let us in. Apparently, he's already got everyone there, both visitors and employees. But my uncle turned out to be completely impenetrable, we already wanted to invite the library management, but we already felt sorry for our time and we still handed over the tripods to the wardrobe, since they did not even fit into the storage room. In general, the head of the guard drank blood and spoiled the day, diligently creating a lot of inconvenience for us.
Dear leadership of the main building of the country, pay attention to the situation. You have thousands of tourists, guests of the capital. Well, it's just a shame to bring someone from the guests there so that the day would not be spoiled along with the memories of the tour.
Yes, of course, security should perform its function. But it's not the first year that we've been your guests and there have been a lot of conversations with the guards, but they always understand the situation and kindly let them through. But this is the first time we have such a case, perhaps this head of security is a new person, if so, then in vain! Please take action.
I really liked the internal atmosphere in the library - there are a lot of exhibitions, and at the same time it is a real library. Nice congress center, interesting sculptures in the lobby. I definitely advise the guests of Minsk to visit the Library and the observation deck (there is a separate entrance). However, externally, the architectural solution is, to put it mildly, controversial. For example, it looked like a grenade to me...
If you want a cool overview of Minsk, go here. I recommend visiting the library in the evening, when the lights of the city begin to glow. Admission is discounted for schoolchildren , students and others of 5 p categories , for the remaining 10 . See the work schedule on the off-site , you get to the observation deck by a glass elevator , an exciting sight! There is a cafe and an art gallery of modern Belarusian artists on the 22nd floor, and there are free lenses for observing objects on the site itself. The views are amazing! The staff is polite and attentive, I recommend it to everyone!!!
I really liked the National Library, the spacious halls, and the atmosphere of the Soviet-era reading rooms. There is a huge selection of literature for all tastes, you can stop by for a guided tour. The building itself is a separate architectural masterpiece that stands out from others on Independence Avenue.
It is a very interesting landmark in Minsk, I recommend everyone to visit it if you are staying in Minsk. It's interesting to take a glass elevator and go to the observation deck. A place where you can combine business with pleasure, and go to the observation deck, admire the city from a height and go shopping in the shopping center. I recommend.
It's just great, a great place to work, read or study, lots of good books, a big bathroom, clean and beautiful.
There is a piano, we visited Galleries, there is a museum.
We paid only 5 Belarusian rubles for two people for a reader's ticket, spent 2 hours there, but we would like to visit every day.
A very unusual and interesting place! I really liked the National Library of Belarus! On the 23rd floor, there is a good view on the observation deck. On the 22nd floor there is a cafe with an excellent menu: delicious pancakes, coffee. An art exhibition was also held there.
The business card of Minsk. I really liked it, it's a pity we didn't get to the observation deck because of the strong wind. It's very cozy, comfortable and thoughtful inside. Lots of computers for study/work. Polite staff. It's a bit of a confusing system with access cards, but it's necessary, so it's necessary ;)
Very beautiful. We were on the observation deck and it was breathtaking. There is also a cafe on the 22nd floor, where you can have coffee and eat. The prices are (surprisingly) low. We ordered coffee in the Bolivian style and glass, very tasty. There are many locations for photos.
The National Library of Belarus impresses with its modern architectural design and majestic structure. It is a convenient space for work and reading, as well as a variety of events and exhibitions that are held regularly. The site offers access to unique resources, including rare books and documents.
The library is a real symbol of Minsk, its unique shape and style attract the attention of both locals and tourists. Panoramic windows offer a magnificent view of the city, which makes the visit not only useful, but also aesthetically pleasing.
In general, this place is not only a repository of knowledge, but also a dynamic cultural and educational center that plays an important role in the life of Minsk and Belarus.
It's a very interesting and beautiful place. We went up to the observation deck initially. Beautiful view of Minsk. There's a gallery below where you can see paintings and go to a cafe, which we did. Near the library, you can walk along the pond, there is a large shopping center nearby. The library can be easily reached by metro, which is a 5-minute walk away.
I definitely recommend you to visit! Great place! The observation deck is just a fire! Very beautiful. There is also a cafe where you can eat and drink a cup of delicious coffee. The inside of the library itself is very beautiful and interesting.
Okay, but somehow everything is expected. It is interesting to see Minsk from a height and see wide avenues and beautiful Soviet architecture, not typical Khrushchev buildings, but interesting columns, powerful buildings and figures on roofs and facades. If you like the delights of architecture, then you need to start from here, and then walk around the center.
Clear. Carefully. Creative layout. Comfortable furniture. Lots of space. There are many services, programs, exhibitions. Attention to every visitor. There is a buffet, cafe, ATM, information kiosk. There is a lot of space. 👍
A great place to relax your soul. Everything is beautiful and pleasing to the eye. The library, there is a climb to the observation deck, opposite the Lighthouse of Minsk is a square with many cafes and a playground, next to the Dana Mall and Pershy National!!!
The huge complex was not even expected, because the photo does not show the real scale of the building and the area it occupies. We went up to the observation deck of the 23rd floor - the views of the city are spectacular!
Then we went to a cafe on the 22nd floor and had a snack. Delicious, the price tag is restaurant. The waiter speaks Belarusian quickly, which causes some difficulties in communication. Not all guests of the city know the national language. It would not hurt to switch to Russian if you see that you are not understood.
Otherwise, I liked everything!
A must-visit, it's very beautiful, the observation deck on the 23rd floor cost 540 rubles, the opening was at 12, we were at 12, there weren't many people, it was very convenient, there was a cafe on the 22nd floor, it was very atmospheric to sit by the window and drink coffee, 2 salads, a good portion, coffee and lemonade cost 1200 rubles, my son and I liked it. 👌
It's a beautiful building, lots of unusual books, and it's fashionable to spend a lot of time at the museum to explore everything. Well, there are always some exhibitions, and it's a great place for those who like to spend time culturally.
The library is unusual in its architecture, we walked through the lower floors, there is something to see, you can read anything you want, went upstairs, beautiful view of the city, it's a pity it's too far, the center is not visible
The best place I've been so far. The library design is top notch! Everywhere there is no dirt at all, the floors are already shiny. There are a lot of chairs and sofas that are so soft that you literally drown in them. The staff is very polite and talkative. They will always tell you what and where. There are thousands of books here. There are many places where you can read, or rather they are everywhere.
A must-see place for tourists!
By the way, while I was walking here, I saw only 5 people reading.
An unsurpassed masterpiece. A brilliant idea. A magical atmosphere in which time passes unnoticed. Convenient service, staff, warm, air-conditioned rooms. Cozy and comfortable. Sorry I couldn't find the toilet)))
I visited the observation deck, it was very convenient that I could make a phone call and find out all the nuances of this tour: the specialist told me everything competently and clearly. The ticket office has very friendly staff, the tour didn't take long, but it was very spectacular! Thank you very much!
Big , beautiful , bright , a lot of good things can be said .
But I would like to draw the attention of the administration that there is not enough direction indicator .
I went into the hall , I guess that I need to go through the turnstile, then I need an identified office number, but it's unclear in which direction to look . And you can only ask the turnstile guards, and you don't want to do that. Maybe I didn't see the pointer, but most likely it's not there.
This is a minus for the library .
By the way, I got the impression that the library is huge, and there are no employees in it. is it that quiet there or is everything so mechanized .
Oh, by the way, the toilet. On the 1st floor , where there is a wardrobe , there is a toilet with toilets dug into the floor . It's amazing. I'm curious what the designers are guided by when designing such toilets. This is the most unergonomical form both from the point of view of use and from the point of view of cleanliness and from the point of view of cleaning .
A magnificent building, an amazing observation deck, although it's cramped, there are a lot of people. Spectacular photos are taken near the building. There is a small souvenir shop, I bought a couple of cool pieces.
The library itself was not visited, there were New Year's holidays and events were held there. But I recommend going up to the observation deck and looking at Minsk from a height of 23 floors. Very impressive. And then walk through the gallery with interesting and beautiful paintings and drink coffee with dessert in the cafe on the 22nd floor.
A grandiose and unusual building, on top of which there is an observation deck. Great views of the city, especially in good weather. Unfortunately, they are not allowed into the library itself, only with reader's tickets, you can see the building inside from the lobby. The observation deck makes up for everything in full.
Big and beautiful
You can climb to the top floor of the library for, in my opinion, 11 bel. Of course, there are viewing binoculars, but the view in early spring did not impress me personally. The ascent is carried out on a glazed elevator, which is also quite an entertainment, there is also a coffee shop upstairs. There are monuments outside that you can see and admire, I advise you to visit, but not primarily)
A very unusual library. We were on the observation deck. It's not very high up and there are mostly modern buildings around. But the library itself is very interesting and must-visit. Nice cafe on the 22nd floor.
An interesting place. There is a pond nearby. There are paths and benches along the pond, where you can sit and relax and admire the beautiful and unusual view of the library building. There is a large shopping center nearby.
The building is beautiful. There is an observation deck. Minsk in the evening is impressive. There is little interesting inside. Some books from the Soviet period and a small number of paintings by local artists. Unfortunately, there is nothing worthwhile. If you decide to visit this place, go directly to the observation deck. It's not worth wasting time on the rest.
Interesting architecture. The underlying philosophy and meaning. You can climb to the observation deck and view the city from a height of 73 meters. The beautiful appearance of the city opens.
Tourists also have access to the inside of the building-there are interesting sculptures.
Completely customer-oriented.
The price is affordable.
Climbing to the observation deck of the National Library of Belarus is a truly exciting adventure. Being at a dizzying height, you discover amazing views of Minsk, as if you feel yourself on the roof of the world.
From a bird's-eye view, you can admire the panorama of the city, feeling its pulse and energy. Minsk opens up to you in all its beauty and diversity, as if you have witnessed a majestic symphony of architecture and nature.
This great experience not only allows you to enjoy the beautiful views, but also to feel the greatness and uniqueness of this city. Climb up to the observation deck of the National Library of Belarus and allow yourself to plunge into the world of beauty and greatness that opens up to you from a height.
The library building impresses with its scale and unusual shape (rhombocuboctahedron), and its location on a hill allows you to enjoy stunning views of the city from the top platform.
The library tour exceeded all our expectations. The guide turned out to be very interesting and knowledgeable, he told us many interesting facts about the history of the library, its architectural features and modern functions.
We were particularly impressed by the fact that the national flags of Belarus are flying on many high-rise buildings in Minsk. This gives the city a special atmosphere and pride in the country.
Also a pleasant surprise was a visit to the museum cafe on the territory of the library. The panoramic view of the city, the cozy atmosphere and the delicious food made our lunch unforgettable.
We advise everyone to visit this unique place and plunge into the atmosphere of Belarusian hospitality and culture! :)
Best regards, Apartments Crown39
We will be glad to see you among our guests!
In addition to a rich source of knowledge and information, it is also a unique building, beautiful and modern. I was impressed by the sightseeing tour on the 22-23 floors. Friendly staff. I'm planning a tour inside the library.
Great building!!! Both as a library and as an exhibition area and as an observation deck! It looks good. And in general, there is a cozy atmosphere in the Vostok metro area!
An unusual building, a beautiful ride in a panoramic elevator . On the 22nd floor there is a delicious cafe with a gorgeous view. You need to take a walk to the library for a change.
Large-scale, modern, beautiful. There is an observation deck at the top of the building, which is reached by a high-speed elevator. There is a cafe upstairs, you can have a coffee with a view of the city.
it is convenient to work, there are always interesting exhibitions and events, you can study history and archives, and the building is very beautiful, as well as the location itself in a rather cursive place
An interesting building with open and closed viewing platforms. Excellent view of the city and the floodplain of the Svisloch river. A cozy cafe with panoramic windows and a view of the city on the penultimate floor. The location is a three-minute walk from the metro. I recommend
One of the main attractions of modern Minsk. A striking contrast with the mimic old (upper) town. You understand intellectually that this is still a library, although in fact it is a large cultural center. Describing its contents is silly. There are art exhibitions, photos, a viewing platform, and children's scientific and cultural activities... The atmosphere is peculiar, you just have to feel it. A cultural bright grain in a country that suffered terribly during the Second World War. I was there after New Year's Eve. There are carousels and pavilions with hot and hot drinks all around :) Even the rain didn't spoil the mood. Even just passing through Minsk is definitely worth a visit!
Offset. The library complex is both moderately modern and quite functional. And student studies, and the organization of events, and group sessions (more often at events).
A very impressive library. It's a pity that this format is dying out now. An excellent viewing platform, binoculars add convenience, and terrain plans allow you to appreciate the scale and beauty.
I was pleasantly amazed and surprised by the scale of the building, the beauty and cleanliness of the halls. I am very impressed by the library staff's love for their work and pride in their country.
Minsk looks very beautiful from a height of 74 meters. I recommend everyone to visit the observation deck. Only choose clear weather, without fog. It's better in the evening.
There is an observation deck on the roof, I recommend climbing in good weather) we also walked through the library itself, there are several art halls and an exhibition of military exhibits
It's an incredibly beautiful building!!! Very atmospheric!!! The lighting on the building looks very impressive in the dark!!! It's a pity that we didn't get to the observation deck, due to the huge queue, but there will be a reason to return!
I highly recommend visiting the library itself! The cost of one visit is 2.5 Belarusian rubles. For this money, you will be able to explore all three floors, where various expositions are presented. This is a very fascinating place!
If you go around the library from the other side, you can climb to the 23rd floor, where the observation deck is located. An adult ticket will cost 10 rubles, and a child's ticket (from 6 years old) will cost 5 rubles. All cash desks accept bank cards.
I'll say for the observation deck on the 23rd floor and the cafe on the 22nd floor: GREAT! The view from the site is magnificent. The cafe is excellent: delicious, the range and prices are loyal
