A unique ancient country that carefully preserves information about its history. Here I first learned about the Gonabad kariz, a system for preserving water and delivering it to the fields. This hydraulic structure consists of underground channels and wells. Water is extracted from the ground, used for drinking and irrigation of fields. The age of kariz is 2700 years old! And it still works! The length is 33km. It is clear that in ancient times there was no electricity or pumps. The water came by gravity. Due to the fact that it went underground, there was less evaporation. In general, an ingenious invention of the ancients! It would be nice to take a closer look at him!
