A good local history museum. One of the advantages is the beautiful modern architecture of the building, interesting in itself, a very cool collection of jewelry, including the Hohenzollern and Spencer tiaras, a modern form of presentation of the exposition. It's only worth going for the jewelry. Otherwise, it is a regional museum of local lore with a good presentation of the material. You will find out how people lived here before they discovered oil and gas. Spoiler alert - we didn't live well. I visited the museum, I do not regret it and generally recommend it.
At the end of Ramadan, our friend, guide and photographer Olga invited us to visit the National Museum of Qatar so that we could immerse ourselves in the historical component of this young state. We arrived here by 16:00 by metro, the station is called “National Museum” (golden line). A ticket for non-residents costs = 50 QAR (~1165 rubles), and for locals = free. It is considered the main museum of Qatar and we can say with good reason that it is very modern and quite technologically advanced. Our guide told us that architect Jean Nouvel designed this architectural marvel, consisting of 500 fiber-reinforced concrete discs, shaped and colored like a crystal "rose in the desert" stone. The museum contains the entire history of the country, starting from 4000 BC. I liked it, but a lot of space is empty. Put in at least 3 hours for everything about everything!
A mind-blowing structure, both from an aesthetic, architectural and engineering point of view, the building captures the intricate shapes from the outside, the flooring is also not bad, there are interactive stands where children can play.
The building of the museum was designed by architects. In the shape of a desert rose, a very interesting exposition. Four interactive areas for children. They are very high-quality and interestingly executed. Find the Energy zone, it is a little hidden, but very interesting. A golf cart takes guests from the parking lot to the building and back. Service 🌟
It is a very interesting museum - modern, interactive, interesting for both adults and children.
It will take at least a couple of hours in quiet mode.
It consists of 3 parts - it will tell you about nature and the history of the country, including the latest one.
We are actively exploring Qatar on our way from Dubai. The fire Museum. The idea of monitors and 8D sound is beyond words. There is a free shuttle service on site from the parking lot to the museum entrance. There is also a free Wi-Fi. Very well maintained territory at the museum, lots of photos of locations. Definitely worth a visit
Qatar- love at first sight! I will definitely come back here, the museum is beautiful, I liked everything from the idea to the comfortable cool interior halls, fascinating screens and powerful stereo systems that transmit the sound of nature, the women of Qatar are amazing, the history of the formation of the state, its development. Definitely you need to come here with children), there are restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops on the territory.
It is required to visit.
Recommendations:
- Ask for a "Russian guide", they will tell you how to get it, so you can listen to many exhibits from your phone. Take your headphones with you.
- If you are interested in all the museums in Qatar, ask at the ticket counter to be given a single ticket to all 3 museums at once. It is valid for 5 days. It's free for children. Payment is for adults only. The cost of a single ticket is 99 local currency
This is something unforgettable!! A magical place! Both children and adults, everyone will be interested!! Be sure to go, there is a subway nearby, cars are being driven from the subway, it's free, the museum itself costs 50 rials ($14), there was a promotion for 100 rials for 3 museums, I took advantage and am happy! I recommend it to everyone
A huge museum, interesting , we were satisfied, many halls, cool, many exhibits, interactive, in general you will not regret if you go, there is a restaurant opposite the entrance, simple but very tasty
We visited this museum in March 2025. I really liked everything, there are interactive activities for children near each exposition, it's interesting for them too!!!
A must-visit. A very beautiful, aesthetic, modern museum. The architecture of the building is impressive, based on the shape of a sand rose.
Children will be hyperinterested, each room has a separate themed room with interactive pieces. Ramadan closes at 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
A very interesting museum. The building itself is already interesting, there are also many different expositions about the history of Qatar inside. There is a lot of beautiful vegetation inside, there is an observation deck overlooking the bay.
The building is incredibly beautiful, the architecture is unique, the exposition is impressive. It is interesting for both adults and children. A very pleasant smell inside, designed specifically for the museum.
The East is a delicate matter : if you wanted to have a wedding and close the museum without announcing it on the website , then you 're welcome . In general, if you want to go to a museum or an excursion, it's not a fact that you will get there. I will not try my luck a second time and leave the sea.

Visit, the cost for tourists is 100 reals, it is interesting to wander, a lot of things for children. It cannot be compared with our serious museums, but architecture, media for 5, stuffing for 4. It was even a little cool, the child was dressed, take a blouse
It's not a museum, it's just "wow"!
Starting from the museum building itself, ending with incredible installations and interactive exhibitions. It takes at least 6 hours to go to the museum to thoughtfully walk around and consider everything.
The newest interactive museum. Both adults and children liked it. Free space, cool rooms, walk with pleasure even if you are lazy.

A typical museum of the Persian Gulf countries. But it's worth a visit. The limited number of historical exhibits (not counting weapons) is offset by lavish installations.
Purchase at the museum store only by cards and using local currency.
A very interesting and informative museum. With the help of modern technologies, the history of Qatar, animals, the life of the ancient inhabitants, the stages of the country's development are very clearly shown. I recommend
An interesting museum attracts the building itself. There are children 's areas . It's cold inside, just like everywhere else in the premises of this country. There are shops and a coffee shop . We were glad to visit this museum.
The history of Qatar from ancient times to the present day. An interesting story about pearl fishermen. An excellent restaurant with national cuisine in a modern style.
The architecture is incredibly beautiful! Must have a visit if you are in Doha. It is open from 9 o'clock, you can get there by metro. The entrance to the museum is about 1600 rubles
An interesting exposition. It was especially interesting for me to learn about the history of the fauna of Qatar and the history of the twentieth century.
It is better to buy tickets in advance on the website.
