Unexpectedly interesting, especially archeological findings. I wish there would be a book about all archeological sites in Serbia with maps, good pictures and historical information.
Museum shows all history of art, from stone age to our days. The collection of local artists is brilliant. Serbians artists made amazing art! Must see!
Three floors of happiness for the curious. There are many interesting exhibits. Suddenly I met a mummy at the entrance of the third floor. A huge number of works by both local artists and world art legends (Picasso, Matisse, van Gogh).
Admission is free on Sunday, I came to the opening and there were already a lot of visitors. There are many tour groups. No audio guide was offered. There is a cafe on the third floor (self-service on Sunday - there are vending machines). The entrance ticket has a wi-fi password.
I really liked the exhibition. Interesting finds are presented, there are rare statues, very beautiful jewelry, and a cool coin collection. Definitely worth a visit! Admission is free on Sunday.
I wasn't looking for cons. I liked everything here. The collections are interesting, the halls are not overloaded with exhibits, it is very convenient to view. You can even sit down if you are tired or want to admire something longer. Suitable for visiting with children. The staff is very friendly and the guides tell interesting stories.
The impression is amazing. There are many exhibits, paintings by famous artists. I highly recommend it. The prices are budget, admission is 300 dinars, for pensioners 150 dinars, on Sundays from 10:00 to 18:00 admission is free
I liked the museum. Everything that tells about the history of Serbia is collected here, starting from the archaeological excavations of ancient states in the Balkans and ending with the modern period of Yugoslavia and Serbia.
We didn't expect such a gorgeous display. You can walk for days. We got there by accident, because of the bad weather. The children were not bored. There are many halls. There are many paintings. The originals of Picasso, Chagall, MONET, etc. Not very famous. But no less masterful. We were satisfied.
An interesting exposition. There are paintings, there is an archaeological section. There are not many people, you can slowly wander in silence. There is no Russian text, but everything is clear.
I really liked the museum, it is quite eclectic, but it gives both an idea of Serbian history and Serbian art, and reminds of Western European masters.
A magnificent museum. I walked on it for several hours. I really liked it. From historical information and artifacts to fine art (not only local, but also global). I'll go again.
When visiting Belgrade, I definitely recommend visiting this museum! Three floors of the history of Serbia, plus the fact that the museum itself is not loaded with exhibits pleases, the ticket price is classic in the area of our 300-350 rubles, you can take an audio guide, in English or in Serbian! After the museum, you begin to understand the country, customs and culture more, and some things don't seem so wild anymore!
We visited the museum in Belgrade on Saturday. Be careful, it works from 12-00. I liked the museum, 3 floors are divided thematically. The works of world-famous authors, paintings and sculptures are presented. Serbian art is also represented from the beginning of the millennium to the present day. There are many works by contemporary authors. In addition to the exposition, the museum building itself, built at the beginning of the twentieth century, is of interest. I recommend you to visit.
I highly recommend visiting the museum. 3 floors. And it's definitely impossible to get around all the exhibits in an hour. It is better to allocate more time) There are many originals: Picasso, Degas, Kandinsky, Chagall, Modigliani...Serbian artists are also represented. I really enjoyed it.
The museum is interesting to understand that the history of human settlement at this place is very ancient. But the content is at the level of any regional museum of local lore in Russia. Nevertheless, I recommend a visit.
An amazing museum. The expositions are beautiful. I liked the hall of antic history the most. I did not use the services of a guide. I wanted to examine everything in detail. Tickets are not expensive. The staff is polite. I had a great time. I recommend
A great museum! I definitely visit Belgrade every time. A wonderful exhibition of paintings: A vintner, a Drowned woman, a portrait of Princess Persia, "Beogradanka". The saddest thing is there are amazing portraits "for the Dutch school" with the inscription on the sign "unknown artist".
A wonderful exhibition, I did not expect such an interesting collection of paintings: Renoir, Rubens, Dan, Picasso, Matisse and Kandinsky, as well as a whole galaxy of Serbian artists. A real aesthetic pleasure
After visiting Belgrade, you must definitely visit this museum! Exhibits from the origin of mankind, the first people in Serbia to our times.
There are art galleries.
Life in World War 2 and in Yugoslavia is not much shown.
If there were Russian-language audio guides, it would be more interesting.
Come on, it's beautiful and the pictures stick, I just hung out on the paintings, I think adults will like it, but children.. I don't know, because they don't quite understand it yet, but I advise you!
Well, it's beautiful, there are a lot of good paintings. One problem is that the lighting is spot-on as usual, so you have to shake your head like a fool to dodge the glare, but this happens in many galleries.
I really liked the museum. It is relatively compact, it will not take a full day (considering that my knowledge of languages does not allow me to fully delve into the exposition of the 1st floor, mostly just to look)
I really liked the collection of early Middle Ages and paintings.
And there is also a small hall where performances take place during the season, or you can wait out the rain. On the 1st floor there is a souvenir shop, on 3 self-service cafes (a cozy lounge and vending machines)
A great museum! Location, collection, schedule) few people, even on a free sun day. I was pleased with both the Impressionists and Serbian artists - I didn't know before at all. And even Bosch is there!
A wonderful museum! A good collection of European paintings. A special discovery is made by Serbian artists! The archaeological hall is also interesting. The museum is small, it's possible to get around everything in 1.5 hours.
The most famous museum in Belgrade, I definitely recommend visiting this museum! Three floors of Serbian history - paintings, sculptures, money, etc. Admission is free on Sundays
A cool museum! Three floors, the museum is small but cozy. The collection is very good, the Serbian artists were very pleased. There is one painting by Van Gogh and Claude Monet each. Admission is free on Sundays.
A good museum, There is something to see. There are a lot of national ones, of course, but you can also follow the world's works of art here. I recommend you to visit
A must-visit place if you are visiting Belgrade for the first time. I spent about three hours there. The museum covers different times: from stone tools of ancient people to Impressionist paintings.
A standard national museum, I would call it a local history museum. Everything is there from ancient times to the present day. The inscriptions are all in Serbian and English
I liked. I was pleasantly surprised that the museum is open free of charge to visitors on weekends. I especially liked the section "Numismatics". These are two small rooms, but with very well-preserved exhibits
An interesting museum. Most of the exhibits are paintings by artists of different periods and trends, but there are halls dedicated to archaeological excavations with very interesting exhibits, halls with icons and, to the delight of numismatists, a large collection of coins, paper money and medals. It won't be boring.
An interesting museum. It is worth spending 3-4 hours on a visit.

A large and interesting museum right next to the square. Three floors. There are many beautiful and antique paintings. Sculptures and jugs, and many other exhibits.
A wonderful museum and exhibitions. The basis of the museum exhibition is the paintings of famous European artists: Matisse, Picasso, Renoir, Degas, Cezanne, Rubens, Rembrandt, Van Gogh. There are also paintings by Yugoslav and Serbian artists, numismatics, antiquity and Neolithic exhibits. Only the most positive impressions.
An amazing city with its architecture, beautiful places.
You can see a lot of interesting things in the museum, learn about the past of Serbia and its people.
