A very well-maintained and blessed monastery!
Through the efforts of Mother Gabriel, comfort and beauty are brought to the nuns!
I definitely advise you to visit if you are in this city!
Holy Nativity is a convent of the Theotokos. The former Basilian monastery was built in the first half of the 17th century, and since 1843 the monastery has belonged to the Orthodox Church. The black domes of the cathedral with golden stars create the effect of night. Although usually temples dedicated to the Virgin come with blue domes. An interesting interior space of the cathedral, during the reconstruction, the iconostasis was moved from the western part, where the altar used to be, to the eastern one.
Unfortunately, the temple was closed, it was not possible to get inside, but it looks very beautiful. In the city center, but away from the hiking trails
