It should be borne in mind that Pesaro is a large port city when choosing it for a holiday. What interesting things can be said about this hotel.... The Nautilus Family Hotel opened its doors on the Pesaro Waterfront in 2016, presenting the creation of Eden Hotels & Resorts in the Eden Viaggi galaxy. It is the tallest (28 meters) wooden hotel in Europe, as well as the greenest.
The intelligent design developed by Attilio Marchetti Rossi, often called the "wood engineer", and architect Marco Gaudenzi, allows the building to achieve full energy balance in summer. The Nautilus Hotel is the result of combining an existing building with a new wing, built in just a couple of months, and consists of a central wooden building with a height of 28 meters, numbering 7 floors with 4-star rooms. Next to it is the Nau Home area, which has a total of 111 rooms, including classic, superior and family rooms with 4-5 beds.
The wood used for the Nautilus Hotel is a natural insulator. The wood was processed into lamellar panels assembled using only water-based adhesives. The result is an antiseismic building, "which can withstand even magnitude 8 impacts when the upper part of the building vibrates by only 3 centimeters." Durable but flexible, with optimal humidity levels, its load-bearing structure can withstand fire longer and better than traditional reinforced concrete.
The interiors, designed by Roberto Garbugli, are characterized by the modern style of 2016, which recalls the tree and the sea. The architectural and furniture elements resemble the keel of a ship, and the columns are wrapped with ropes.
