It is very beautiful and solemn. I remember this monument from my childhood. There is always cleanliness, flowers, Victory Day - concerts and a solemn event. Thanks to the city administration. I am pleased with the attitude towards history and our common past.

The best monument to those who died in the Great Patriotic War. My grandfather was involved in the creation. The tile has already been replaced. When, after the storming of Gagra in October 1992, a volunteer from the North Caucasus walked past this monument, who was instructed to shoot "Georgian monuments", and he asked the residents what nationality the soldier on the monument was, he was told that he was "Chechen". "Then you can! Let it stand!" the volunteer replied peacefully.

It is gratifying to see that the monument has a well-groomed appearance, and in general it is pleasant to realize that Abkhazia does not disown its Soviet past, as happened with many former Soviet republics. By the way, an immortal regiment is being held in Abkhazia. In general, they are great, they honor history as it is, without "rewriting" anything.
