A relatively low-cost (but not super-cheap) option for tourists who don't care too much about comfort.
PROS:
1. Convenient location - close to Taksim Square and Istiklal, there are many restaurants and shops nearby
2. Polite and friendly staff - Eros the receptionist was friendly, joked, tried to communicate with us
3. Good Wi-Fi on every floor
4. There is an elevator
CONS:
1. Strange attitude to booking. - We booked 2 separate rooms and paid in advance, and before check-in we contacted the hotel to make sure everything was in order (we were told that 2 separate rooms were waiting for our arrival). However, upon check-in, we were informed that the hotel, for some reason, expects the four of us to live in the same room (they just put an extra bed). The next day we were moved to a separate room (however, this mistake of the hotel was not compensated by money or additional service from the hotel).
2. Very strong noise that interferes with sleep - The noise of sirens and car horns from a busy avenue (in rooms ending in 2) can be heard even with the windows closed. However, when we moved to room 101, which has no windows (more precisely, the windows overlook some kind of mine/well from the houses), it got even worse, strong music was heard from the nightclub until 5 a.m. It was simply impossible to sleep without earplugs. It was also difficult to sleep with earplugs, as the bass in loud music causes internal vibration.
3. "Tired" rooms, insufficiently equipped - Although this facility is called an "apartment hotel" on booking sites, in fact, the only equipment in the room is a kettle, sink and refrigerator. There are no appliances (plates, cups, knife). I think you can ask the staff for all this, but I would like to see it when you check in. - There are cockroaches in the rooms, an unpleasant neighborhood. - The mattresses are old, with uncomfortable springs. - The towels are not perfectly clean. - Most of the outlets in the room are not working.
4. Breakfast is extremely meager and tasteless - Breakfast is included in the room rate (available from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the lobby). We had breakfast only once and did not want to repeat it (1 piece of Turkish sausage of disgusting taste, several olives, several slices of cucumber and tomato, boiled egg - see photo).
I gave 2 stars due to the fact that one day the manager called an elevator for us by pressing a button, that's all the advantages.
Of the "pleasant" things:
1. The room is dirty
2. The windows do not close completely
3. Mold in the bathroom (401 rooms)
4. The room is not cleaned, there are only two towels.
5. Breakfast was promised at the booking, but no, it was not)))
The price is pleasant. Everyone is polite. The hotel is certainly not new. One of the advantages. I stayed for a day and left without paying. Therefore, 5 stars!
